    Smoking Problems @ work

Man you did the right thing. I don't want cancer. These idiots had a designated smoking place and should have been following the rules. You did the right thing. You have more patience then I do. I would have lost my job cause I would have lost my temper and went Jackie Chan on some ass. I don't want to taste f'ing cigarette smoke in my food. That is a nasty ass habit. Good for you bro. Sorry for the jakcalope that doesn't know how to read a sign. Here's your sign...

I got it straight. Put in the bass knob. It seems to be doing good now. Just need to get outta the neighborhood to get down on it. I will bring my video camera along when I do.

    Wierd amp problem.

Man i am noobish. I think it is just that this Sundown strapped is much more powerful than the Ab was. It is hard to find that perfect spot for the gain. It is either to much or not enough I went outside and turned the gain up a bit. Can't really crank on it cause I am in the hood. I have to run my remote gain knob in a minute. I will control output using that. I have a wall and it is sealed very well. No air movement from front to back. So i have to figure a way to run the wire. I sealed the whole wall up with Expandable foam. Let me go and try to run the cord. I will report later.

    Wierd amp problem.

It is pretty strong. No smoke though. I took the subs out and looked at them and the coil wasn't discolored. I have a Powermaster 3100 in the trunk and a Powermaster 5100r up front. Running a 160 amp alternator. 1/0 from front to back. Big 3 done with 1/0.

    Wierd amp problem.

I have my 2 Saz-1500's strapped. I have 2 15" Fi BL subs. They have all the power options on them. Now when I set my gains with the DMM 77.5 volts - 5 volts for my headunit output i get the old smelly subs. Meaning when I turn the volume up i start to smell voice coil. So i turn the gain down a little bit and it seems like the subs aren't as loud as they were with my American Bass amp. So I turn the gain up just a little more and start to smell the voice coils again. It is almost like there is a magic area on the gain where I don't smell voice coil when turned up. I don't know it seems like the amps should be doing more than what they are doing. But when I turn it up to where I think they should be I smell voice coil. I know the best way to set gain is with an O scope, but when you are poor and no one in your area has an o scope it kinda sucks. I figured the voice coil smell is caused by clipping, but even when i don't smell the coils the output seems like it should be higher. I have had the subs for over a year now on the A B amp. Should I just set it at 72.5 volts and go with it or set it to where I don't smell voice coil anymore. Also why not put a mark on the amp an on the gain dial so folks can tell the setting of there gain knob? I have terrible eyes.

    Strapping 2 1500's wiring problems

SEARCH AND YE SHALL BE REWARDED> I don't have my negatives of both amps tied together. I bet that is the problem. Let me go do that.
  10. Alright. I have the amps installed in my car. I have the Rca's wired properly for strapping. Now the speaker connections. I have both subs wired like this. http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woof...mp;woofer_imp=3 Mine are wired for 2 ohms. I have one set of wires coming out of my box. Positive speaker wire is going to my Master amp. Negative wire is going to my slave amp. Do I have them wired properly or am I going to have to wire each speaker to each output on the amp? It just isn't getting loud. I have the output voltage set at 77.5 volts A/C. Could someone show me some pictures of how to wire 2 dual 2 ohm subs up in the strapped configuration? I know they are capable of putting out serious power, but I think my wiring could be a factor. Someone help me out so I can set them up right.

What Single Rca do you guys use to master/slave amp

Yeah I gues that is what I will do. Thanks for the replies.
  12. I have Knu Konceptz Krystal Rca's in my ride and I need a Single Rca to Master/Slave my Saz1500d's together. Anyone know of any nice Rca's to use to make the Single run? If you will post me a link cause i am looking to buy one tonight. I am searching as we speak. The shortest KnuKonceptz has is 13 feet. That is way to long. I am still looking.

FI BL on 1000 watt Max??

Hey Bigjon. How does that 3000d treat those BL's??

FI BL on 1000 watt Max??

As far as the BL having a 1000 watt max. I say ha..It will handle more than 1000 watts. That is what I have my 2 BL's running on. Give or take a bit and they could use a touch more. I bought all the options you could when I bought mine. Cooling, flatwind , universal. I am confident that running at 1 ohm together they could handle 3k. 1500 a piece. That is if your amp gain is set correctly and isn't clipping. I have a small video of mine playing on a crappy camera phone that takes video. The microphone in the camera distorts the sound, it doesn't sound the way the camera makes it sound. It is clean and fresh in real life. You can see from the shirt moving I could move more air with a little more power. My box is tuned to 32 hz. It is a low bass machine. I love the Fi subs and I will never buy anything else. If I only had the money to afford bigger amps and batteries and BTL's.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZFTCtvC0nI
