    Taramp's Customer Service Public Conversation

That's the problem.. And you may have known this before i post. If option 2 or 3 is done, and service is required, a swap is done for new amp and that new amp has it's own warranty. If it breaks.. there would be again, another exchange price, the same that you paid before. IE- This isn't exact but to give you an idea- Bought a $300 amp. It breaks. You pay $50 for roundtrip shipping and 3 weeks downtime. or.. The $300 amp breaks and you pay $80 for a brand new amp. 6 months later it breaks. After convincing you not to kill Taramp's, hehe, you would then again have 2 choices- send to repair center and pay $50 roundtrip or $80 and we'll swap it again. Since we are not the actual repair center, we have to charge exchange per incident.

    Taramp's Customer Service Public Conversation

I forgot to state this for this question as it doesn't make sense for me to be so broad, lol. I have purposely left the questions very basic to get generalized views first before i get detailed as to why i'm asking. Yes, customer service is a must.. That part will not be lost. But, what kind of customer service do people want, for themselves, when it breaks? When it's DOA, when something just isn't right? While these products do have a warranty.. (Detail-time), it is NOT controlled by the Dealer\Distributor. This is something the US is NOT used to. I am laying this out because there is a Pricing-War with Taramps and we have already taken the 1st step and eliminated part of it already with our relationship with Taramps currently. However, many companies who may sell Taramps are offering NO customer service whatsoever. This is a different business tactic that many potential customers are not used to. It is up to the customer to get their "customer service" via warranty services to an authorized repair center themselves. That means it's the customer's responsibility to obtain their warranty service and leave the dealer out of it.. The sad thing is this ALSO includes DOA. This pricing war has gotten people who are interested in Taramps to know that this is what you are expected to pay for any given amp... What they do not know is those prices are not backed with customer service via warranty service. While pricing is still Very stunning, customer service can officially have it's chance to be offered to Taramp's customers now depending on the outcome of this conversation. This is what we have on the table- Option #1- You can pay Price- X and get your product at a great price. If it breaks, doa, etc, you will be paying shipping, down-time, etc to the authorized repair tech until it's fixed. Option #2- You can pay Price- X which is about 10-20% more for the product(that % sounds high but it's not) but you receive the following service- Whereas you may still have a manufacturer warranty, This pricing structure would allow the customer to have the following service- Ship us back the doa or damaged amp and receive a brand NEW amp. Fast turn around. We would verify warranty coverage and then ship a new amp. We would take "The Hit" and have it fixed ourselves and resell as refurbished. Option #3- After reading the above 2 options, we could sell at a Great price and when customer needs warranty service.. As long as it's in warranty, customer could pay us 15-30% cost of the product for a direct swap to a NEW amp and we deal with damaged amp and resell as refurbished. We are offering a break down to what we can offer right on the table. If dealing with us direct, you do not have to worry about then owning a "fixed" amp if that bad scenario were to happen to you. That's one good point. Another is turn around time. Our turn around time would be immediate. As soon as we would receive the bad product, we would verify and ship back out a brand new one. Shortest down-time potential possible. This is the same type of dealer warranty coverage given by other companies. Their own warranty service to assist the customer in quicker response, lower down times, and maintain new product. So, what are your thoughts?

Question #3- How much do you value Customer Service? How much do you value Customer Service when the price is the best but the customer service is the worst?

    Db Drag Trunk class

a single amp wouldn't be the best as you'd have to get either the NS-1 and wire at 1ohm or the 3500d and wire to 0.5ohm 3500d= more current draw= lower voltage NS-1 may work but is expensive I can't guarantee you'd get ~4k from an NS-1 at 1ohm I'd personally to 2 stout amps if you have to stick with Sundown. Like 2 3500ds and wire each at 1ohm and control it's output that way. Unfortunately, those who are clamping power, if they are not using devices to consider Power Factor like our product can, then their clamped readings will be a LOT higher than what it suppose to be so depending on how you measure vs the competition, it may be impossible to properly regulate power output where you want it.

Thanks for the feedback so far guys! QUESTION #2- Custom Wire inputs. These type of amp's power and ground terminals are mostly not of adequate size and for safety reasons need extra support for more cabling or just large cabling to prevent voltage loss. Should we force all amplifiers that we deem, to require inputs be supplied with said amplifier? Our pricing is effected by this option to the customer BUT we make no profit on these inputs as there is no profit to be made. Our prices are only affected by this by $10-45 per amp depending on input requirement. If you guys want, i can lay out ALL amps effected by this and show you publicly here what inputs are going to be supplied with them if we feel this is the right thing to do automatically with all orders. (PS- this is a service that no one else offers for any brazilian amplifier and we want to do this so people have access to inputs that may not already be made or would take a long time to make. Also, many of these are insulated to resist potential arcing from poor installation accidents.)

    Taramp's Customer Service Public Conversation

No, Taramp's only makes a "bass knob" for their 5 channel amp only and have no intentions on making any in the near future either. This remote module would add $30 to the HD amps to those who do not currently come with one and is a visual indicator system. It let's you know Power status, Protection status and Clipping status.
  11. Companies make 1/0 couplers. But if it's external running, i HIGHLY suggest running them through flexible Conduit. I use Liquid-Tite from Lowes. 3\4" ID is less than $1 per foot. http://www.darvex.com/store/pc/Stinger-PRO-0-Gauge-Wire-Coupler-18p258.htm
  12. AGMs have a punch but not all AGMs are the best performers. Diehard AGMs are currently the ones suggested for local purchase. They are around $250 per batt. Now, the D3100 which is about $365 per battery from XS can put out 500A per batt for 30sec straight and maintain voltage down to 10.8v Some batteries may drop into the high 9s so 10.8 is awesome. I do not know the capability of the Diehards but there you go.

How hard is it to build a box?

Why in the hell do you need a panel saw? For one, Lowes will cut for free. Two, if it's not for cosmetics, all you need is a table saw circular saw router straight edge clamps pencil Titebond III clamps clamps clamps IF you want to be real cheap no table saw no router no clamps(lots of screws) But how can you complain about a price when you have not the experience to do it yourself? That would be like me going to the dealer and telling them i'm not spending $7,000 to have my engine replaced when I "hear" you can get it done for $3000 even though you can't find that person and you know not how to do it yourself. Respect businesses and they will respect you.

    Official Taramp's Announcement

Taramps has multiple distributors and an official Repair Center in New York(who also repairs other brazilian amps). Stetsom, from what we seen, doesn't have a network in the US to support their company with customer service. Taramps is already in 14 countries and will continue to grow.

All Products we can\will offer has been updated. Taramp's also offers a 300mF cap we do not see a need to offer, several high voltage power supplies and several high voltage DC amplifiers(40-340vDC) Because of the nature of how to supply to these amps, we do not stock these. We may special order them but are never stocked.
  19. HD Line- (High Definition) The HD line is a line of Mono amplifiers with Full Range Class D frequency response up to 15KHz with amplifiers currently rated from 1200 to 8000 Watts of power @12.6v. Product of high yield, innovative design and edges (Front and Back) on ABS, which provides greater security at the time of their installation, these products have RCA type inputs, (L and R), to seize the entire mix of a song directing to a single output. This line uses SMD technology resulting in less heat buildup(less heat dissipation required), smaller heatsinks, smaller footprint, less internal parts required, higher efficiency(mid to high 70% @ low ohm stability level). Below, you will see the following- Maximum Consumption Musical Maximum Consumption in Sinusoidal Signal This is what it means- Maximum Musical Consumption- Max current the amp will draw when a speaker(s) is wired to it's lowest stable ohm load and "rise" to a given figure. Maximum Sine Wave Consumption- Max current the amp will draw on a FIXED Resistance. This is the current draw typically given by other buildhouses. All of the following amplifiers listed under the HD Line come in 1ohm AND 2ohm models! The following listed specs are of the 1ohm version. The 2ohm versions share the exact same output power except at twice the impedance. The HD1600 comes in 1, 2 and 4 low ohm stability models. Efficiency levels of higher ohm load amps vary but typically are about 2% more efficient. Taramp's Q&A

Answered in other thread. No, unlike most Korean amps that are rated at 1%THD, Taramp's amplifiers are rated LOWER! The HD Line is rated between 0.3-0.5% The T Line is rated at 0.3% The TL Line is rated between 0.05-0.45% The TS Line is rated between 0.05-0.5% All Taramp's amps that are to be used for bass are Not fragile! The entire T Line Platinum Series(which is 1ohm stable) can be ran at 0.5ohm daily considering you maintain voltage between 10.5-15v and have a sufficient Power Supply Reserve for such demand! The entire HD Line Series(which is 1 or 2ohm stable) can be ran for "burps" at 0.5 ohm for 1 ohm or 1 ohm for 2 ohm models. Running below rated impedance on HD line for continuous usage is not recommended as is typically not recommended on any amplifier not rated for such usage. Do so at your own risk! We do not provide amp gut pics because most people would have no clue what they were looking at or to compare. The technology is different than most therefore is impossible to compare to other companies unless using the same technology.

    Official Taramp's Announcement

When we import them, i can ship one off to the Head engineer of SPL-Lab in Russia. They will do a full unbiased review if you wish to see that. There have been all kinds of reviews done by "users" and nothing but astounding results. Of course we didn't get into a business relationship with them based on reviews. We are joined together by the quality control, history and marketing potential they have to bring to the market.

    Official Taramp's Announcement

It's pronounced using 1 syllable as it's pronounced in Portuguese or Spanish. However, me being different, hehe, I always pronounce it Tear amps. The proper way is - tar omps. but as one word, 1 syllable. They use Half Bridge Technology which most to all brazilian companies do but they do have their own differences. Taramps Power supply range for T line is 10.5-15v but the HD line is 10.5-16v. The HD line is all Surface Mounted Devices which has excelled them to new levels since 2011. We have all heard and seen the name Brazilian fire-starters. This has been the case due to 2 reasons- small power terminals and VERY shady quality control! SPL-Lab actually did a review on a Stetsom amp a few years ago that was a horrible outcome. I can say that Taramp's has over 250 Employees a massive 3,000yd^2 facility moving tons of products yearly. The small power terminal issue is dealt with through us by supplying the customer with custom made inputs that FAR exceed the wiring requirement for that particular amp. We will NOT supply a customer or suggest a customer should use these amps without our terminals. South American usage is different on how they wire their batteries or Converters up to amps. Us in the USA must use batts and alternators and sometimes long wiring. That is where the inputs come in.
