Yea.. and with 96month layaway plans too. And the general public kill it in 2 days and say their amp is just too powerful for these that they got at walmart for $119.

The general public don't use these.. I doubt i'll be seeing these at walmart, lol Only us crazy bassheads do.

two new ssa subs showing diffrent ohms

The only coil config that Fi USES for themselves that goes below 0.7 is the SP4 which is .65... Now, there's no way in hell an sp4 coil would fit in a gcon.. I also will say that Fi may possibly use coils for who they OEM for that they may not use for themselves. If that's true then some OEM brand has gotten an accidental switch from what i would assume.

Holy shit! How did you go up ~1.5db? You gotta ship the meter back.. We must of gave you a bad one, hehe.

Well, you're gonna love this. SSA Gcons do not come in D1s like how you are measuring. That means it's not SSA's fault if everything you are posting is the truth. However, SSA will need to chalk up the problem if it truly is a D1 sub.

Not saying they are, but showing the gains at min means nothing directly. They could be using a line driver.. They could be using an LC-1 which will overdrive the signal as well. The gains could have been at the 1 o clock position, hehe The HU may have a hefty output voltage. So showing gains alone isn't really saying much.

    DD-1 testing

Unfortunately, you are not comparing physical THD % values here. If the distortion has not reached what the SMD is rated at, then the light will not light yet. That means distortion can be visually seen on an o-scope because it shows the signal at all times. I do not believe the SMD specifications are wrong, it's just a pointless device to have under all circumstances. I kid you not, i was on smd's website one day trying to find what kind of pointless topics were there. One topic was about Troubleshooting the SMD DD-1 device. It wasn't functioning properly in terms of never warning of distortion, etc.. Guess what the user had to do.. whip out tools, DMM, for example, and do measurements.. So, the user had to reduntantly troubleshoot a device that is setting up a gain so that instead of setting the gain just right then.. the DD-1 just HAS to be troubleshooted and fixed before the gains can be set.... And don't get me started on the CC-1. I should make a device that allows people to turn their amps on and off. And a switch.. nah, just isn't good enough.

I honestly do want this but the timing is not right... Unless you can hold it until like October-November, i'm going to miss this if my application requires me to buy this amp.
  10. its not the heat by itself. Its the charging voltage At the level of ambient heat. There wouldn't be a situation where an environment is so hot for a vehicle that any battery will just die from just sitting there with nothing connected to it. So.. it's the relation between heat and charging level. The hotter it is, the lower the charging voltage needs to be or else it will overcharge. You can overcharge a battery at 14.0v for an AGM if the heat level were very high. Likewise it may take up to 15.0v if a lot cooler. PCM controlled regulators are awesome for this fact and can greatly prevent overcharging from occurring.
  11. You need to secure the battery. It could be shaking causing arcing which may spike voltage causing slow overcharge. Heat doesnt kill a battery. Its the voltage level to heat ratio which needs to be adhered to and your voltage readings are well within spec up to 130f easy. I run xs under the hood without issues. Keep things tight and shake free.

Email Paypal Invoice to the following address- shizzzon@gmail.com Order information- 8 15" D2s (Dual 1.63ohms, hehe) I know.. nothing big.. Please take your time sending the invoice.. I want everything to be epicly done from this point until i get the subs, hehe.
  13. anything is possible. I own a 100A load tester and agm battery charger. Between those 2 and a DMM and ammeter.. those 4 tools are mandatory in my book for testing in this hobby.

I did something wrong with my box. SSD15

And this is the same results us competitors get in the real world vs on graphs. 4th BPs have a wider active passband than what vented enclosures have when built for that bandwidth but less overall amplitude compared to a vented enclosure.

    quick install question

Also, For everyone's information, those Knu batt terminals are 105% terrible. I only tested 8 out of 8.. Every single one suck. They cannot handle the high current demand of an audio system because the fastening method for the SAE post is not tight enough and the Furrowed terminals are flawed. All my tests resulted in substantial heat buildup at the terminal and burn marks in the Furrow terminals after months of use. When you buy an aftermarket battery for car audio, they do not use SAE posts. You need something that can adapt LOTS of cables, that's bolt post batteries.

    quick install question

You use Ring Terminals with Bolt Post batteries. Other normal Lead Acid batteries, you use "Battery terminals" which are called SAE Posts.

    sealed box sp4

4th orders generally have a wider playable range than typical vented enclosures despite the "bandpass" name. I can't explain it on a graph as graphs show the opposite of what i'm saying but 4th order BPs are not as efficienct(spl-wise) as a normal vented enclosure but only by some, nothing dramatically quieter. 4th BPs give an overall deeper and higher bandwidth over flat response goal-ed vented enclosures but lose some efficiency when doing so in amplitude.

Like i'm sayin, make sure your drawing is 100% what Torres' information is using and calculating or else you will have a wack result. Also, very recently someone else on this forum also told me he heard Torres was good to use and he also kept getting erratic answers with Torres when i was reviewing it's math so we put in VERY BASIC information and it still displayed a box of 0.8cuft off on port displacement which threw other results off as well. Tuning in the end was calculated to be 9hz different than other calculations. What, in my opinion, i do not like about Torres is it wants the GROSS information. that means it is calculating things that may change or not account for to get to your NET volume. If you only deal with Net volume, there shouldn't be anyway possible to screw the calculations up.

Actually, since your last pic finally loaded for me, your physical length INCLUDES the baffle thickness = 11" So, it's taking an extra 3.5" to addon internally for acoustical length. So the ACTUAL internal physical length is 9.5", not 11" and an extra 3.5" for acoustical length= 13" So.. by your drawing, the port displacement including acoustical displacement Internal is 2.05cuft I dont know if your drawing or if the Torres calculator information put in is conflicting with each other but as of right now, Either the input information is wrong or Torres is calculating the wrong outcome.

I'd throw that program in the garbage. Tell me how it's getting 2.97cuft port displacement based on the following- 32x7" port opening using 0.75" wood Physical length= 11" That's not even 2.0cuft displacement. It can't calculate simple math so how's it going to calculate tuning?

Yea, which people will see in this example.. you need a lot more.. Roughly 26sqin of port per cube.
  24. We are going to be offering the ability for those who can gather multiple orders together the ability to inquire about group discounts all year round VERY soon. Very soon means like this weekend.. or tonight.. who knows! This is how this will work.. We have someone down in Florida who will be controlling our bulk order inquiries VIA TEXT or EMAIL only! Phone calls are not accepted so trying it will only lead to lost calls and the number associated with this service does not prefer calls for this service either. Bulk orders may lead to negotiation pricing and this is best done via email\text as we like to review bulk pricing on a case by case situation. All Bulk orders are to be shipped to a SINGLE address. So hang tight while we get everything squared away soon. We have been working on this for months now so everything is handled in a timely manner for both us and the customer(s). We announced earlier this year we planned on lowering the amount of group buys we initiate to prepare for this service and it's finally ready. We will be posting the contact information soon here and on our website under the Dealer section on the main portion of the page. More information about this service will also be posted once we update with the remaining information.
