    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

You miscalculated the math. I said because i typically only drive 9k a year, 9,000 miles a year.. going to 200,000 mi, if i had a car that long, would mean nothing to me at that point because that would have taken just over 22yrs to do it on the same car. By then.. i'm pretty sure it's time to get another vehicle, lol.
  2. would that cause both speakers to cut in / out together? YES it could. I would pull each speaker out and inspect the quick disconnect terminals or whatever you are using to connect them to the speaker. Since they both go to the amp, one speaker shorted can affect the entire amp as it's still trying to put out a signal.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Just got off the phone with a rip-off agent. Declining after-the-extended-warranty.... warranty coverage. They wanted $3,450 for another 60,000mi or 5yr, lol.. I got my 100,000mi coverage for my last vehicle from the dealership for only $1,400.. I told the lady.. um no. I can get a whole new engine installed in this vehicle for under $3,000, why would i pay for just-in-case insurance? Then she told me because my car has 90k that it's close to 100k where most vehicles start to show signs of problems. Um... this isn't 40yrs ago where vehicles were prone to start having problems around that time. I have yet to see any brand vehicle start to have problems until at least around the 200k mark. And the rate i drive.. 9k a year, the car would be worth nothing to me if i still had it by then, lol.
  5. when it goes out, you need to look at your amp and see if the protection light is on or if the on light is on. I too believe loose wire or overheating at the amp. I see this amp has it's own thermal and low batt light. Need to see if one of those is on while it's cut out, not after the fact.

They always have been, but half of their population is over here, so they get counted in our stats. Lmao! In that case.. DAMN... they some fat Mexicans for such small population.

i still just use windows media player, either the default one or MP classic Home Cinema. Only time i ever see a need to use Winamp is if (now i know they have like 10 million plugins out there) i want some exotic visualizations or to fine tune music in realtime while playing. I really dont make playlists.. I just select what i want to listen to at any given time and throw it all in a player and let it go.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

You're making me question myself so i just checked my email on my computer because i use it. In my Gmail account, i have a folder named SMS. In there, i went into a text that i knew had a pic in it and sure enough, it's there. So as far as i know i'm telling you right.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Yes i DO! Just had to learn this the other day when i had to replace my phone. For Android- Go to Play Store and search for SMS Backup. Download SMS Backup+ If you have gmail it's already like this but if you do not, make sure your email account is setup to use IMAP. Then, login to your email via SMS Backup. SMS Backup will dump your entire Call log, SMS(and MMS if checked) and contacts. You can set it up to do this syncing to your email every 2hrs. The same program will restore from your email back to whatever phone is synced with your email account.
  12. Picked up one of those little cheap $7 actuators in hopes to fix my driver side door since the motor went out in it and a replacement costs $260.. i dont think so, So.. i go to cut the jacket off the mechanical cable for the lock and guess what... It's PROTECTED by steel rope.. Ugh... So, how can i get through the steel rope without breaking the itty bitty mechanical cable inside? lol

No use for add on cards. Unless you were doing some kind of server function. My server blade is old as Fuck and didn't need a raid card either to serve. My last gaming PC had a built in CPU just for raid controlling. It was amazing.Mirrors are fine. Just not redundant as numbers might let on. It matters way less in a home than in a business aspect. I use a backup machine because it is easier, cheeper and I can access my data from anywhere without working the BEAST. Yea, i just hate it when someone assumes that using mirror raid means that's the option the owner chose for redundancy.. We all know that's not true redundancy, just in the heart of the moment so to speak. I gave up on discs long time ago. Only redundancy discs i'd ever use(which i have used several) are 75year guarantee Gold Layered DVDs. Verbatim and Mitsui i know make them. I do not know who else. They aren't too bad. Last time i purchased some, it was a 50pack of 4.7gb for about $65. But online hosting is where it's at. We all be doomed if a hosting site lost it's entire RAID systems! Epic fail would have a whole new meaning.

    SPL-Lab BETA Testers needed...

We are currently doing beta testing with our judging software and would like anyone who CURRENTLY OWNS at least 1 SPL-Lab product to participate in the testing stages of our upcoming software. BETA means bugs can happen, not everything is in English, somethings may not even work because coding doesn't exist yet, etc.. We want ALL feedback, including what's posted above so we can make sure that nothing is missed by accident. You will receive a packaged software link to download a new version with a ~30day license to test with. You can use it however you wish, run your actual shows, etc.. We will offer no instructions for use because our software is developed in a way so instructions shall not be necessary. We want everything as easy as possible whether competing or just testing. If you do not own any of our measuring products, you cannot benefit from this participation because our software will not run without our hardware attached or synced. Anyone who is interested, email me- shizzzon@gmail.com and the information will be forwarded to you. We will generate licenses in a couple days so we need a list of people now. PLEASE provide feedback as soon as you can so we can collect information in a timely manner.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

I run mirror raid simply for the fact that i do not like down-time of my information, but at the same time, it is redundant. I do not use add-on cards for raid though, simply what's onboard. Been doing it for years this way and never had an issue. Back in early 2000s, i tried using 4 different Promise Tech Raid controllers on a pair of Western Digital drives and it would never run right. I believe i never got more than 24-48hrs of use out of the drives before it would go corrupt. This was back in the IDE days. That's when i gave up using Add-on cards. Better compatibility using what's soldered onto the board already.

Why in the hell did you do that?

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

I mirror raid my master drive and all active slave drives. If one drive fails, i start backing what's up on the other drive immediately. I typically have several 2-3TB drives lying around(External) for stuff like that. Then when replacement comes in, good as new again. Hosting site gives 50gb of free space. That's enough for most of what i need stored.

Correct me if i'm wrong but did you just deaden plastic?

    doubled my port area

subsonic is a mechanical filter or an acoustical one, depending on application. Sometimes, subsonic needs to be set above tuning. Sometimes you peak below your tuning frequency. I've seen it all, rules of thumb can't be trusted all the time.

    IAK needs an "IHOP"

that pic is awesome.. That can be shopped for any brand

Ethos 12 and 15 pre order

Can you let me\us know when the preorder resumes because so far your Ethos fits my application.
  22. I didn't recommend going with XS because in your first post, you asked if one or 2 batteries would be enough. That implies you wish not to spend a lot of money if you can help it. The amount of power you are using doesn't require the Best of the Best batteries reputation-wise on the market to be used. Just like i won't run the best amps out there for certain applications if it doesn't require it.

Need advise going in right direction

It does but does it also have more motor force? Too many other variables as well..
  24. I would go with a small agm in the front and a better one in the rear. Small diehard in front, larger in the rear.
