Whats up yall. Its been a while sence ive been around, but im back with another question...
I got a sundown scv 4000d, got everything hooked up no problems. once i turn the key and let the power get to it, theres an audible click sound, almost a pop. Im wondering what it is. i did notice i hear the sound at the same time the blue power light comes on the amp, but i just want to be sure thats what it is. Thanks in advance!

I'm in the middle of doing a wall with 6 li 15's D2. They will be going on two 20.1's at 1.33 final load on each amp. If you can find one large amp you can wire all 6 subs down to 1.33What amp would be large enough tho? Everywhere i look almost i see audiopipe along with cendo and sundown. Dont get me wrong, i wouldnt mind having cendo, but there more expensive then the subs lol

yes i have the room, plus some. His are the same as mine, D4.

at this point, i dont know. Im in the brainstorming point. What would you suggest? After all, i dont even have 6 yet.

Well, i have 2 lethals now, but a friend of mine is planning on selling his four for a damn good price, so i cant pass it up.

Im going to start a build soon with 6 lethal injection 12's. Any input on amps? Itll be 3600 watts rms just the subs and honestly i cant afford a $700 amp, but any input will be appreciated!

Cheap crunch class A/B amp in a hot trunk, ran at 1ohm getting hot enough to burn flesh is normal lol...I have a 600.2 and does the same thing if I beat on it hard.
OK lol i just wanted to be sure i didnt have something messed up somewhere and it wasnt just my amp. So basically, i need another amp to kill/reduce the heat is what im getting?
Looks like its time to start saving for the endo i want...

So this is a walmart amp? WTF! lol i didnt know that, they dont sale nothin but sony and pioneer around here. Well, power and ground is 4 gauge and speaker wire is 14.

Hey there! Just a question, I know amps get hot, but i think mine gets too hot. It will get hot enough to burn the shit outta your hand if you touch it and count to 3.
My question is, why? and can i prevent/stop this.
I thought the problem was because of its location, it was under my seat, so i moved it out in the open thinking it would get more air and stay cooler. But i was wrong.
It gets this hot on my way to and from work, so day and night regardless of outside temp. maybe 30 minutes of play.
Its this amp - http://crunchusa.net/Crunch_PowerOneAmp.html the one in the picture. 2050.1 and i have 2 IA Lethal Injection 12's D4.
My voltage never drops below 12, never.
Any ideas?

whats the max demensions you can have?

IA subs handle WAAAY more then the rms rating. I myself have 2krms on 2 Lethals, which are rated 600wrms each.

Hello there! I have been looking for a new head unit for over a year now. Im picky tho. I want a good one (of course) double-din,am/fm, cd, usb all that stuff. Rear rca's and all, I want to be able to change the light colors. Ive spent a good bit of money matching all my interior lights and i dont want the head unit to be different. I also want a remote.
Ive had good experiences with clarion in the past, but the guy at the local audio store says clarions quality has gone down a lot. Ive been looking at some jvc's, but im not sure there quality is any better now then it was a few years ago. Im trying to stay in the $200 range.
Any suggestions?
P.S. I dont care for flip outs or touch screens.

ok cool. I kinda figured there would be more variables involved lol. Altenator size, amplifier size yada yada.
Thank you again man!

0 guage of course
But either way, does the size wire make a difference? and why? I know its a lot of questions lol but it just hit me, ive never seen two people have the same amp fuse.

How do i know what size fuse to get? 20 amp or 300 amp? Is it a preference thing or what? Anybody care yo elighten me...

Be sure you scrub and scuff the Hell out of it before you paint. Adhesion promotor and the right paint go a long way but without proper prep it usually doesn't end well.
Also, a primer would help it to last a little longer, in my opinion it looks better too.

well, i cant say ive ever done that before, but i DO know that body filler wont fill glass very good. Or look good at all lol. All i can think of is a custom glass. Ive been wrong before tho.

Thats the best way to remove the badge, specially if your trying to save the paint. Ive never used that kinda remover, and honestly goof off woulda been a waste of time lol. A body filler speader or plastic putty knife mighta took a few minutes off that time. Regardless, there off now lol. I like the look of debaging. Specially if the vehicle is/will be murderd out.
Reason i ask what you plan to do with the emblems, I collect em. If you dont plan on keeping them, shoot me a price you might want for em.

I go to school for auto body collision repair, there only a bitch if you dont have an eraser wheel What did you use to get em off with? Also, what do you plan to do with the badges?

So your debadging? Or do you plan on replacing the stocks?

Thank you both for your help and advice!

see, thats my issue... I dont want A set. I want tweeters, 6x9's and im seriously thinking of some 8's.
sounds like a bad idea
why is that? Im not disagreeing with you, im just curious why you say that.
Unless you know what you're doing... Those are very hard things to "match" in sound.... And if you knew what you were doing then you probably wouldn't even think of that... A nice 2-way set should be more than sufficient.. If not, then maybe you can power the tweeters off the HU and the mids off the amplifier... But no 6x9 in the mix...
Right now i have 5 1/4s in the front doors and 6x9s in the rear, there kicker components. If i amped them, would it make a difference? Lol im starting to see im more then a rookie when it comes to this stuff.
