  1. Give me a few weeks; I'll be in the 150 club with my single 12!! :drink40:

    I hope so!!

Ha thanks man, the 145 range would be awesome though.. I might be loosing a db or so with the floor like it is. I was thinking about that yesterday; Some of the floor mounts may be messed up from when it was wrecked.

  2. bout time you hit 150s lol, now get some real power and put up a 155 :drink40:

oh an screw the spl box, you should be able to do a 153 on music all day!

Real funny you say a 55 with real power lol. We put two D9's at .4 each on them and did a 155.3! Hahaha.

    It's wall time!!!

congrats!!! ha im curious to see if you have any of the 6.5's laying around?? wanna sell? i see you have many of them in the pictures but you only used 6 in your doors

  3. It only gains about 10% of box volume, so you'd only be able to cut your box down to 3 cubes. Not sure how much of a difference that will make.

That sucks.. lol I was hoping to get more like %20 percent since the net volume is only 2.6.. (i hear this method is most effective in smaller enclosures)

  4. With aero ports you need 55%-70% of the conventional port area you would need. so lets say you use about 8 cuft after displacements for your two xcons.. Following the rule of 12-16 square inches of port per cube, you would need 96-128 inches of port area with a non flared port. With the aero's, you will need 53-90 square inches of port area. Personally i'd try to get around 70... (3) 6 inch areos gives you 85 square inches. (5) 4 inch ports gives you 63 square inches.. You could do the three 6's and be fine. But they would each have to be about 23 inches long for 33 Hz tuning.. You could do the five 4's also, and they would only have to be about 17.5 inches long for 33 Hz. Just five of these ports will be expensive.. You could probably do a slot port if it didn't interfere with the subs once they are mounted.. Also, you are building this for 2 15" Xcons right?

  5. Ok, so I have a 3.3 total cuft box as a center console and i cannot reach over to the other side of the truck to roll down the window/unlock the door. (no power windows/locks sucks) I hear if you add poly fill to an enclosure, the enclosure behaves as if it is larger.. So I was thinking build a smaller box, but add polyfill to make it seem larger. So in the end, I will not have sacrifice output with a smaller box. If this is possible, about how much air space could polyfill potentially account for?

  6. Amps will be done in two days... around a month early (they are on the ball) -- so I now expect these late JUNE instead of July.

Therefore pre-ordering will end sooner... around June 20th.

Are the amps still on schedule for late June??

    Thanks

  7. Do you think 2 optimas will be enough ?

Maybe you still have your stock battery? No HO alternator ?

Nice build. I'd love to have this kind of space in my car!

    Keep posting pictures! ;)

    Thanks.

No, personally, since he has two red tops... Red Tops are starting batteries; not deep cycle.. I told him he should do a little more with the electrical to protect his investment.. But no stock battery.. stock alternator..

  8. Pictures of center console and a little build description would help me out LOTS!

PM me if you don't want to clutter the log.

Hmm.. He's really only focused on the sub stage right now so there isn't a whole lot of description but i'll do my best.

    (2) SAZ 1500Ds strapped at 2 ohms

    (2) Optima Red Top Batteries; one under the hood, one in the console

    (1) Alpine IVA-W505

    (1) Big three with KnuKoncepts 1/0 wiring

    (1) 1/0 KnuKoncepts Power Wire

    (1) BIG ASS BOX tuned to 34z.. lol (7.6 per sub) 19 cuft before displacements..

    (2) RE SX (NOT SXX) 18s

    (4) U2 35S 24'' Wheels

    (4) 255/30-24 Tires

AirBagIt.com bag kit with custom upgrades..

  9. Nice. That center console looks familiar. Think I saw it being built on another forum? Looks sick. What bagging kit did he use?

You didn't see this one on a forum. Dylan, my buddie, sketched it up awhile back but we just built it like a week ago. I'm not sure what kit he used, but he's running a triangulated four link in the back..

  10. My friend just finished bagging his Tahoe a couple of weeks before Scrapin the Coast. He wanted some bass so he bought 2 18s and here we are.. Each chamber is 7.6 cuft with 12 square inches of port per cube tuned to 34 Hz

    Laying frame on 24s..

  11. plz lil girls go off and play hop scottch somewhere else..

bassnoob.. yea you are a fuckin noob.. take your "super loud; hard hittin; slam a lam" Q having self out of this forum. Everything you post isn't worth reading. You couldn't contribute a fuckin pubic hair to this forum. LEAVE

  12. It's the spare tire. I need it but I don't want it lol I want a sub enclosure. How would that sound? It would be facing the side of the trunk. I was thinking of port firing the same way as the sub.

Well I was going for the least restrictive port. I guess you could fire out of the like you want but with the same internal idea that i had. You'll just need to add a triangle piece of wood in the corner to change the direction of the air flow.

Also I won't be building this box, someone else will be. I have no carpentry skills. I would like to build it myself. But it is too complicated.

Building is really interesting sometimes. You come up with many ideas to fix your screw ups..

  14. What kind of system is this for? Music, video games, movies?

If it's for movies primarily, you may want to tune a little bit lower. A number of movies have some rumbles down in the 16-20 hz range. So not only would you want to pick those up, but most home amps don't have subsonic filters so you'd want to protect the sub a bit with a lower tune as well (though some do have a set ssf). If it's primarily for music, you may want to tune a few hz higher to help with the output in the 30s. That being said, I think my home subs are tuned to 24 hz and I like it and have never had problems :P.

Mostly music and call of duty!! lol so 26Hz would be good?
