Thanks......is the XT2000D a good amp? durable? efficient?

well its not for driving just. when I go hang out in parking lots and stuff at night. is 120 times a minute pretty fast in terms strobe lights used in car shows?

would the xt2000D be a good choice then? How would I wire the subs to get them the power they need for their RMS which is 500.

I almost thought You had forgot about posting your results. So it worked good? Thats good. Keep an eye on it while your hittin' at high volumes. Just for a while to make sure you dont rip open the the seal. But other than that Im glad it worked out for you.

Vehicle is a 1996 Taurus.... and I havent decided which amp to push the subs yet with.... Maybe the Hifonics 1606d or the kicker 1000.1. Which would be better? or are there any amps that would better accomadate those two subs.... **Edit- Why are the Mach 5's so cheap? Also is the MAW-15 a 15" sub and can it handle 500 watts continuous or is it overrated?

I think i will get the Mach 5's but out of the 3 on this site, which one is the best....... MAW-15 MJ-18 Single 8ohm MJ-18 Single 4 ohm.

I am currently financially strapped and so i cant spend money on sound deadening products like dynamat and fatmat, second skin etc etc.... anyway i was wondering if there are any other ways to stop the trunk from rattling...... I tightened up all the bolts in the trunk which helped very little but it still helped nonetheless. I noticed under the carpet in my trunk is a layer of stock sound deadening im guessing. It is also surrounding the 6x9's on the rear deck in the car. I have several cars at my house that are out of comission, if that layer of fabric under the carpet is an actual sound deadener, i was wondering would it be possible to somehow jerry-rig a way to stick it to the trunck lid..... If it will actually help a considerable amount that is. Thanks ~MadroX

I have looked around and seen a system I would like to get rigged up. It's 2 Alpine SWR-1222D's powered by a Hifonics 1606D wired in at 2ohms in a 3ft^ ported enclosure tuned to 35hz.??? Im a little iffy about the box. It sounds like it would be good to me. Thanks in Advance ~MadroX

I know a few little terms about a subwoofer's specs like xmax, spl, rms...... but what about these fs re qms qes qts mms cms sd vas bl these terms confuse me alot...... it makes my brain shizzle on itself. I would feel alot smarter if I knew what they meant. Thanks in advance ~MadroX

MB Quart RWE-302's Power Acoustik FUBR-12's Power Acoustik S.Q.-12's Cerwin Vega V-Max 152's Orion HP-12D2's Rockford Fosgate P312D2's Which of these is the best bang for the buck overall. If I cant come to a conclusion I am just going to sell some stuff and buy Some Fi SSD 15's

do the sundown's pickup good low's? I like deep bass.... I see that the sundown's have dual 8 ohm vc's. 8 ohm isnt all that good last I recall? not sure?

When you use the expanding foam in the trunk lid. Do you just spray it in the holes in the trunk lid until it fills up that whole negative space between the inner and outer trunk lid? Mind you I have a 1996 Taurus.

I would think it would work also since im pretty sure it is silicon based also. I have done some research and discovered that alot of people use clear nail polish as it isnt corrosive to the foam. ~MadroX

is there a considerable difference in deepness of bass and/or crispness of bass?

I have had the surround get holes it from drills slipping, accidental punctures, etc etc...... I have always used "liquid nails" Its in a clear and blue tube. It works just fine for me. Never had any problems with it. Look into that, besides it is very inexpensive. ~MadroX

I am looking for the screws that some amplifiers use to screw down wires into the amp channels and power/ground/remote etc. You have to use an allen wrench to tighten/loosen them. I do not know what they are called or where I can get them. I need some because I have 4 missing from my amp. 2 for a channel on the amp and 1 for the power and 1 for the ground. Im sure I can get them somewhere local but I'd like to order in bulk off the internet. So if you know the name of them I would appreciate it if you would share your ungodly wisdom upon me. I have a 1966 Chevy C-10 Pickup and I am pulling the system out of my car to put in the Truck when I get the brakes fixed. Anyway, I have been surfing the web like crazy and I can't find a dash install kit for the truck So I can put my HU in it. Do they even make one? Or am I going to have to have someone cut into the dash to make a custom fitted one?

So, I was going to upgrade my system soon. And I am going to get two 15" subs. So here are some of the ones I was looking at that were in my immediate price range. Cerwin Vega VMAX 15.4 Fi SSD15 Rockford Fosgate P3D415 Alpine SWR-1522D So out of those, which set would you all recommend the most? I had my tweets on the door panel next to where ur ac vent is firing towards the passenger and driver. it made a big dofference. I dont know how you would wire them on that car as my factory tweets were on door panel. Sounded good though
