Wouldn't the two 15's have more cone area? Plus if they are BTL's they can handle more power right? More cone area, plus the option of more power =
to me

One of these will be my next amp. The T1500 may or may not be the CP version. I will decide that if I decide to go with the RF amp.
Will be powering two DC lvl3 15's.

Can you order 1" MDF somewhere online? does home depot or lowes carry this? What about 1" birch plywood. I want strong but lightweight.

BTW I will only have a XS D3400 up front and stock alt. I also would like it to have a small foot print and be lightweight.

Im looking for a good reliable amp with will do at least 1500 RMS at 1 ohm at 12v and be as efficiant as possible. No more than 2000 RMS at 1 ohm.
I have my mind set on a RF T1500.1BD but Im open to new ideas.

I believe it is... just what I heard though, there is a vlx- something coming, I guess to take it's place. supposed to be 4000+, again all hear say. Are you thinking of purchasing one?
No im looking to sell mine and im trying to find what they are selling for online new since I know Im going to be losing a lot but I need it sold. I cant find much online. The places that used to sell it are out of stock and there is nothing on e-bay.
What would be a good asking price???

2-12's
Do research, don't buy something because others like it. Buy something YOU will like. You will end up changing it out later anyways.

I tried the calculator. I dont know if how much the subs will displace and what are the differences between using 3cubes per sub vs 5 cubes per sub. Power handling? SPL?
I to get the most room I would have the box up against the rear hatch, if the port is facing back the port would be up against the rear hatch. The box I currently have has subs and port on the same face, its louder facing up.

Subs: two DC Audio LVL4XL 15's
Here is the room I have set aside for the box. I can possibly go bigger. But, if possible, would like to not go bigger.
23 inches high
20 inches deep
38 inches wide
I want subs up and the port up. I would like to use a slot port. Tunning could be at whatever would work best with the dimensions given. Anywhere between 30hz to 40hz would be fine with me. I dont know what my cabin peaks at but I have had two setups, one 18 tuned to 32 and two tens, not sure on tunning, Both setups peaked at between 40 to 45 hz.
I will be using a US Amps AX3200DE to power them.
This will be in a small SUV, 07' Honda CR-V.

The problem is at the amp. I can disconnect the 360 from it and still get the hiss.

After almost 20 hours I finally got my system up and running. Integrating into a Factory system with a Navagation unit is a headache but I did it. I used a RF 360.2 to send the signal to my amps. I have not put in the AX-3200DE yet but that will be this weekend along with my RE MX18.
So I should start off by saying this amp sounds amazing. I am running my stock speakers and it makes them sound soo much better than the stock amp. There are things I am hearing in my music that I couldnt hear before. The only issue I have is that when the volume is low or where there should be silence in the music there is HISSSSSS. I dont think its normal and I have identified the amp as the cause of the hiss. If I disconnect the RCA's into the amp the hiss is still there so I assume it is the amp. I called Greg at US Amps and he recomended a couple things that didnt help at all so he said that I would have to take it back to the dealer and have them send it in.
After waiting so long to get this amp installed I am disapointed that I have this issue. Oh well at least its not ground noise, although the hiss is kind of loud. Any ideas? Oh and the gains are completely set to 0 I cant turn them down any more. Another thing that tells me its the amp is that if I turn the gain up the hiss gets louder. I may just live with it I dont want to wait a long time to have to send it in and wait to get it back.
