Hey guys just trying to get a little info about some electrical from more experienced people. Im looking into getting a new alt, i have a 2005 chevy silverado 5.3L. Now i see iraggi has a 300 amp alt and dc power has a dual bracket kit that comes with a 185 amp alt, all in the same price range which would be best for me? Run a single big alt or have the 185 to the amp? Also i have a xs power d3400 as my starting battery, but i was wondering if i put a 900 cca as my starting battery could i put the xs power in the back and be ok? Cause i read something like you cant have two different sized batterys in the vehicle, i plan to run a crescendo 3500, just trying to see my best options so i can fully power the amp. Looking to buy a saz 2500 and just seeing what you guys think i should do about electrical to power the amp. It'll be pushing a sp4 reconed by psi audio, they told me that it will be 2500 rms or better. ill be running the amp at .5 ohm. For electrical so far i have the big 3, a 350 amp alternator by bnr parts (junk by the way) looking for a 270 amp alt by mechman and a xs power d3400 under the hood with all 1/0 gauge. Just trying to get some help with what i should upgrade to run .5 ohms daily. looking to get dual toolmarker 1/0 for the power and ground for 2 runs of 1/0 wire. should i be looking at another battery? and what if i got just a smaller battery and put the 3400 in the back? Any help is greatly appreciated.

So i wonder how many times this has happened to the sp4 woofers? ive never had a sub catch on fire before, i've fried a few coils but never had a fire in the truck. I took a few pics of the sub after i put out the fire and i took the coil out and it looks almost brand new, so at least that is a nice high quality coil.

well yesterday was not a good day for me. while sitting at a local grocery store parking lot my sp4 caught on fire in my vehicle and i had to pull the heavy box and sub out of my truck while on fire and ended up going to the ER with 2nd degree burns on my hand. My question is why did this happen? i seen a few things about the new leads that the company uses are breaking off and sparking. i was running a hifonics brz 1700 to the sub so it was a good bit under powered. i emailed fi but that could take a few day to hear back, since this was not my fault and had nothing to do with the sub acting up will FI replace the sub or give me a recone at least? If they dont do any thing and i absolutely have to buy a recone could i get a n3 recone for the sp4 basket?

Yes i have the big 3 done with all 1/0 gauge. And yes i can do doing 70 down the highway and have my rpm at 2k and still dropping to 11.8. So small battery up front and bigger in the back?

I'm currently running a fi audio sp4 15 at. 5 ohms with a hifonics brz. 1700 amp. I have a 350 amp alt and a xs power d3400 under the hood and i'm still having problems with my voltage, when the sub hits hard i drop from 14.5 to 11.7volts at some points, what else do i need? More batteries or is it the alternator? The alt was bought of ebay from BnR parts. Just wondering if i should send the alt back and look for a new alt. And if i did send it back what amp alternator should i be looking for? I plan to get a crescendo 3500 within the next few months.

Looking for a little help with my headunit. I have a Kenwood 400U that powers on and runs fine just when i go under audio setting and try to move some of the settings around they dont do anything. The headunit has a subwoofer on and off option and when i try to turn the sub off with the headunit it still plays. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For electrical i'm running all 1/0 gauge a 350 amp alternator, currently a stock battery but soon to be upgraded to an xs power d3400. Just can decide between which amp i want aq 3500 or crescendo 3500. Both great amps buch which one will be best for my setup?

I needs some help with my setup, i have a fi audio sp4 15" fully loaded 1 ohm sub, i have it powered by a hifonics colossus amp i cannot even bridge the amp, but i cant get the amp turnt up at all without it clipping im using the bass knob for it and i can get it up about a quarter of the way before it starts clipping. I'm running all 0 gauge wire and i have a 350 amp alternator why is the amp clipping so bad?? im never dropping below 14 volts and it still clipping really bad, any ideas why the amp is clipping so bad??

I recently bought a sp4 and i have it powered by a hifonics colossus, im getting a 350 amp alternator and just wondering if i need a bigger battery? Whats the point of a bigger battery cause once the car's started the alternator takes over for the electrical system right? The 350 amp alternator should be more than enough to give the amp all that it needs right?

Got an email from shawn today, said sub was shipped out on Tuesday but how come i didnt get a shipping/tracking number?

I know it takes awhile for the subs to be built and them to be shipped but i ordered my sub on the 12 of September and its oct 1st, im just trying to get a little info on the progress of the sub and how its coming along. Its so hard to wait for these amazing subs, and if anybody know a good site to help build boxes that would be very helpful too. Thanks

I was going to oreder a 12' fi sticker for my truck but the shipping is 12.00!!! Why and how is the shipping that much??? Its a 0.76 lb sticker that costs 4 dollars. But 12 to ship somethings not adding up here.
