    Bass question?

I was just thinking the same thing as I read this thread. The op's issue is impossible to diagnose via a forum thread. we need way more info as previously stated. If you don't understand why a scope is not the best way to set your gains then please forget what you think you know and stick around, put your ego aside, open your mind, and learn something.

    HTC ONE vs SSA Explorer

Much improved. I was reading about the HTC one wanting to upgrade and the camera was the thing all the reviewers kept raving about. I now see why

ARMYKYLE1's Blazer build! GFY it's slowwww

Build looks great man. Those six flags pics are nuts!
  6. Use 0 gauge for your big 3. Possibly get a good agm battery to replace the stock one. I was running 1000 watts in my honda with just those upgrades and doing just fine on my stock 80 amp alternator and no second battery. With my a/c and lights on I was still only pulling 70 amps with my stereo at full tilt. Start with what you have said and take the advice given. If your voltage is dropping too far you will need to look into a second battery, ho alt etc.

    96 Accord System Upgrade

Laying everything out I am liking the new setup but I am struggling with securing the box in my trunk. I've never had anything this heavy in my trunk before and no carpet makes it slide even easier. All these little install details that I neglect to plan for show my inexperience and make me realize the learning curve is steeper than I thought it was.

A little Sundown power for my front stage And an AQ for the xcons
  10. Not bad at all sir. I don't think the not quite perfect alignment will be an issue unless the speaker is hitting the door panel. Looks good

    3 ported on 1500 or 4 sealed on 2K

Well you see he was referring to the F3 of the power doubling naturally aspirated to the lower response of the doubling of the roll off of the johnson rod in relation to the enclosure. Or in layman's terms...kinda in your face!

    New here...

Welcome. Only one thing left to do now...pics!!!
  13. Trace the stock plastic speaker mounting baffle onto the ones you have made and screw them to the factory holes. That is the easiest way with as little mod as possible. The dynamat behind the speaker is good and if you have any left put it between the panel and the baffle. X2 on sean's comment about your shop. I would kill for access to a work space like that! Good luck with the install. Trial and error will teach you more than anything else. couple the experience with the advice given here and your install and your ears will thank you
  14. I put ebr between the panel and the baffle but you could use cld (dynamat) or whatever you have, even if you just use the baffle and no dampener you will hear a huge benefit. The baffles can be made for much cheaper than those pre made turds and yield infinitely better results. Keep in mind that keeping your speakers behind the panel is NOT ideal, but if you are like me and on a budget and not wanting to modify too much this is an easy way to get much more from your setup
  15. ^^^Stock location Baffles ^^^ ^^^Screwed right into the factory holes Mount speaker^^^ ^^^Replace door panel ^^^You would never know I was there

    Cablguy184's 1949 Ford Tudor Sedan

Built ford tough with GM stuff! As for your gauges, I know stewart warner makes a resistor (They are mainly heavy duty truck gauges, I'm sure others do as well) so that you can run 12v gauges on 24v systems. I'm sure a similar product can be found to allow you to keep the original 6v cluster...

    How batts help?

Most alternators ground through the case so just run a cable from the mounting bolt to the frame.

School me on Door speaker selection please.

lol There will always be trial and error, but if you can learn from others experiences why not!?

School me on Door speaker selection please.

And as for people in your back seat. Don't worry, I upgraded to a nice active front stage and ditched the rear speakers in my sedan and was giving some friends a demo and the people in the back seat couldn't even tell there were no rear speakers. They were blown away at how full and clear the sound was. Focus on a good front stage and ditch the rears if you want the best possible sound in your vehicle and save yourself the hassle of doing it again in a few months

    gcon or sundown e series

I had my 12" GCON in a 2.5ft^3 box tuned ~33hz and it was seriously impressive. Before that it was in a 1.5ft^3 sealed and I loved it. either way, the GCON will not disappoint.
