I am breaking more of my car then I am breaking in these subs, I have already had to replace a tail light and tighten my spoiler, let's see if Sundown can just knock the damn thing off! Thanks again Jacob for some great subs!

Okay after researching and deciding on Sundown Audio SA-12's the time or should I say box has arrived and I have nothing but praise for Jacob and Sundown Audio. I don't have the space to list all of the different subs I have used over the years but if you can name them, chances are I have owned a pair. These subs absolutely lived up to the hype. When I first installed the box I just disconnected one box and put another in. I was replacing my Kicker SoloBaric L5's. With the volume at a low level I have to be honest and say I was not impressed but as I turned the volume up I was completely amazed at what I heard. I cannot say enough at how amazed I am at a sub that's only rated at 600 watts RMS. I am looking forward to pairing these subs up with a Sundown Audio amp in the very near future (SAZ-2500D?) A very special thank you to BJ form Fisher Customs for a great box.

We cant break the news yet... ; )
I can say, It will be something I have never built, and should be very cool. Not so sure I have ever seen this design before actually...
Damn, this guy must be lucky

I really can't speak on "build houses" but what I can say is I am very excited at what Sundown Audio is doing and I am looking forward to finishing my new build. I have been into car audio for almost 20 years and I have never heard such a positive buzz about a company like I hear about Sundown. I can go back as far as the original "Kicker" box (yes, it was a Stillwater Designs product), I started with (2) 15" RF Series 1. I remember when I ran systems off of EQ boosters. Now to add my .02 about RD Audio. I still own these expensive paperweights because I have never even installed them. I was supposed to be competing for St--e Mi---r. He just stopped communicating with me (thank God I hadn't purchased that amp yet) Jacob a big thumbs up for what you have down and keep up the good work.

I hear you've got something unique in store for some old school Kicker C-12's. Any clues?

That's why I love Sundown Audio

I thought about doing a 7k as alot of people said they wanted one... but nobody was willing to put money down.
The 4500D is all I am doing for a bit... eventually I will go bigger but improving the "smaller" products and expanding the sub lines will come first.
How do you improve the sub line? Make a sub that will burp at 20,000 watts? Real talk, Sundown products are awesome

Okay is Sundown going to make a bigger amp for 2010? I'm just curious because now their is a 4500D, will their be a 6000D?

As far as the THD rating, (I can only assume Sundown is similar to the rest) that is measured with the voltage at 14.4. The power ratings are measured at 12.8 volts. What I like about Sundown is if the amp is rated at 2000 watts (like my future SAZ-2000D) the amp will do 2000 watts at 12.8 volts and of course the power will increase as the voltage goes up to 14.4 Which means you don't need a small country to get clean reliable power from their amps. I'm not affiliated with Sundown except for I love their products, just another Car Audio addict. Besides how can you not love a company with a Mad Scientist like Jacob?

From what I hear, the amps actually come from Sundown before going to DB-R. I think he orders them from Sundown (once it's paid for of course) and does his thing and then ships them to you. I may be wrong though

Been slacking... I'll get back on eventually !
Is it eventually yet?

Can someone who knows something about Sundown Audio speak up, I mean who is this Sundownz guy really?
You know I'm just kidding, Jacob you are the man so that's what I'm going with, the SAX 50.4 it is!

Okay so I have the low end figured out, but for the mids and highs I haven't decided. I figured since I already have Kicker 6 x 9's I'd go with some Kicker 6 1/2" for the doors and some 1" tweets. I think the SAX 50.4 would be a good buy. My low end will be (2) of the SA-12's powered by the SAZ-2000D. Will the mids and highs keep up with the low end or should I go bigger?

That is tight, can't wait. Now if we can do something with these old school Kickers

Okay so what does it look like with the carpet?

That is going to slam in my Camry, I can't wait for my new Sundown SA-12's

Feels good to get in the groove again. This is a pretty straight forward build for a local guy here in Wichita. Will be finished off with black carpet in the next few days. Onto the pics...
I LOVE IT!!, I can't wait to put my SA-12's in that box.
