  1. I do have one concern, my Camry has that 60/40 split seat, normally I can't ride with the seat down (my kids) so would I gain a little by cutting a hole in the rear deck to act as a "port"?

  2. Way overkill. Please drop me a link/pics when you're done. I've re-built the trunk of my 01 camry a bunch of times and I find it's an accoustic nightmare....not to be Mr. Doom and Gloom but it's the worst car for accoustics I've ever owned.

Is that the car you drive now? I would love to see some pics, and as soon as I have everything I will post a build thread

  3. Okay, I think I have it done, my electrical will consist of a 300 amp alternator (Iraggi), A Powermaster S1200) up front, (2) D1200's for the trunk, all wiring for batteries and amps will be 1/0 ga., Subs will be (4) of the SA-12's powered by (2) of the SAZ-1500D's. This is all going into the back of my 2001 Camry, with the box designed by banginAltima (as soon as he's done) so hopefully the Mad Scientist of SPL (Jacob Fuller) will be proud of me

  4. That had to be the most hilarious thread I have ever seen, I remember having a punch 40 and the damn thing putting out close to 220 watts, but it was rated at 40! then you put it up agains an amp similar to it and want to go back to the badge (40 watts) I wonder how this thing turned out????

  5. First off, me and bigjon have the same h/u. I have NEVER built an enclosure before and since it's going to be a slot ported box I figure it's that much harder, but I don't back down from a good challenge so if someone knows of a website or something that could help me I would appreciate it. I realize that there are many dynamics to car audio outside of just grabbing some subs and an amp so this question was really just a matter of opinion (hence the title) the big shops down here push either JL Audio (which I have never liked), RF (so-so), Kicker (I have some right now) or MTX (been there, done that) I want to take my Fi Audio and Sundown and watch their jaws drop.

  6. Okay I am buying my Christmas present a little early. I have a 1997 Toyota Camry. I use a Pioneer DVD H/U and I have 1/0 ga. KnuKonceptz wiring and I am looking at running the Sundown Audio SAZ-3000D on (2) 12" Fi Audio BL's with the cooling option. This will be a daily driver and I want to hunt down a JL Audio guy, will this do the trick? I listen to just about anything but I still have my DJ Magic Mike and Techmaster PEB CD's. I do have an additional battery in the trunk and upgrading the alternator won't be a problem. Please help!

  7. that is pretty hard to answer since a lot has to do with install, Enclosure, tuning, placement, system x-overs, Runs of wire, vehicles cabin gain etc etc....

The enclosure will be ported built to specs by Fi Audio, Tuning will also be to specs, they will be firing up, I will do two runs of 1/0 ga. wiring, I am looking at purchasing a 1994 Chevy Suburban. I have never even heard these subs but I have heard so much about them. I just want to be able to hit 150dB

  8. I am planning on running (4) 15" Fi Q subs in a ported enclosure ran with a Memphis MCD4KW, all in the back of a Chevy Suburban. I will have a 200 amp alternator and 2-3 extra batteries, any ideas of what my numbers should be, we don't have any comps down here in the Dub K (Wichita, Kansas) so any help would be appreciated
