  1. why not get 2x 100.2s instead of bridging a 50.4? or going to another 100.4 instead of having 3 amps for speaker duties unless you are trying to have defined speaker seperation..

I have tossed around a lot of ideas so something like that did cross my mind.

By adding the 50.4 to my existing set-up it allows me several options.

Not to mention the "Flash" that four amps will add to the install. :Bling:

  2. I received my 50.4 today and it is beautiful as always.

So now my new build will consist of...

    1200D for my Subs.

    100.4 bridged for my Mid-Bass.

    50.4 bridged for my Mid-Range.

    100.2 for my Tweets.

Front stage is a HAT L-631 running active via Alpine H701.

You think I have enough headroom? :D

  3. You told me that my SAE-1200D would not go "Thump" when powering down and you held true to that.

Absolutely no noise what so every. It is perfect and for that, I thank you.

BUT....as for the power rating I have to call BS. No way no how.

I turned this thing on and it scared the chit out of me.

I'm running two sealed 12" TC-9's and I thought they were going to fly out of the box.

I had always felt happy with my Hifonics 1606D with it's 1600 watt rating but this 1200 puts it to shame.

I was running the Hifonics at 3/4 gain and the 1200D is at 1/3 gain and I'm still turning my processor levels down.

With my upgraded Alternator my voltage stays at 14.4 even at an idle so I know this puppy is producing much more than 1200 watts.

As always I am more than impressed and extremely happy with this purchase.

Maybe you should put a warning label on this one for those of us with weak hearts.

Damn good job my man. :drink40:

  4. Oh I'm damn sure in. I must have this amp to complete the full Sundown Audio powered SQ vehicle.

I know your forte is SPL but there is at least one vehicle winning local comps in SQ with Sundown amps.

I'm a little short on cash right now but I'll find a way to get it so put me down for one. :jump:

  5. I hope I'm not considered fat but my upper torso is longer than these ladies dresses.

I need tall if you don't want to see Butt Crack. This is your final warning.

Give us tall guys long Tees or we will start posting photos of Sundown T-Shirts that include plenty of Butt Crack!! :angry2:

  6. Yes sir..and now that I think about it.....the guy that did a 149.2 was Ryan with a Sundown 1500 @ 0.5ohm on a 21" Autotek... fing05.gif

    Very nice set-up Jim...simply beautiful..

I should be out next weekend with the 18" hopefully.....but I"m not looking for high numbers...just an extremely loud ground pounder.. :neil:

I might strap both 3K's to it just to see what she'd do..

    Thanks guys..

Thanks man. I'll be there and would love to see that. Hope you get it done in time.

  7. I'm just curious on my MLI-65's ordered on 01-01-08

I know it's free shipping and coming from Canada but where is it in the postal system?

All I get from the tracking number is a message "Item processed at postal facility" in MISSISSAUGA, ON

Just concerned on how long it takes to get to TX.

That is a a draw back of shipping international. The tracking number is valid until it hits the US boarder. They are coming, and they will impress.

Not a problem. Thanks for the reply.

  9. this thread stays open as i want to see what steve has to say myself. but no more attacks on anybody on the personal level, period. anything Rudy has to say to Steve, with proper back up info as he has provided each time, will be allowed. anything else is a no go. you have a problem with Rudy, go to pm, unless you can back up your statements. same for Steve.

    Excellent Call... fing05.gif

  10. Great...now we have resorted to name calling. This thread is a wealth of information.

One doesn't have to be here long to learn the cliques that exist on this board.

Once you get cross with "The Crowd" everything you do and say can be over analyze and your opinion will be labeled as not worthy.

I think both have valid points and both have the right to be passionate about their cause.

I may come to my own conclusions with the facts/opinions presented but it's not my place to degrade the one I don't agree with.

But of course that's just my opinion.

  11. I know you guys hate repeating yourselves as so do I, so let's start over again.

My Cat got locked in my truck and has eaten my speakers so now I need new ones. ;)

How do you think the above combination of drivers would work in a small ext cab truck without any mods to the door panels.
