Small-3x are 100% cotton. 4x-5x are 50/50 cotton/polyester. They will all shrink a little after washing.

  2. Through them in a box I had laying around the shop yesterday.

They are being powered by a pair of saz-3500s @ 0.5ohm each.

Got my new box built today. It works MUCH better.

Because I had to move the amps to the back of the truck my rcas weren't long enough. Using some y-splitters as a ghetto extension I was able to get one amp going. With only one saz-3500d @ 1ohm on both subs it hit a 149.1 on the TL. Did the same exact # playing some music too.

    More vids tomorrow.

  3. Big thanks to Brandon for coming down & taking care of the factory wiring harness. Other than that all the stereo wiring is already in place. Once the new dash & center console are complete it's all just a matter of plug & play from there.

  4. Oh yah... D1 coils just arrived.

So we can build 12s, 15s, and 18s now in D1 or D2.

10" frames are not in yet.

Awesome!!! I need two Z v.2 12"s. Dual 1ohm coils, double leads, standard cone, two spiders (the magic ones), hold the lettuce, extra cheese, and a partridge in a pear tree. Oh yeah, put the ranch on the side please. :santa:

Be there to pick them up next week.

  5. I only see a couple cracks around the mounting lip. As long no spokes are busted then it's playable. Drill an extra mounting hole on each side of each crack and screw it down. It's not like you can mess the basket up any worse. The sub will play fine.

Basic 2.5" tall x 9" wide Sundown Audio decals are $1 each (minimum order of $2). Sundown windshield decals are $5 each + a flat $5 shipping cost. I can also do custom sizes and colors for an extra fee. Email me for quotes on custom work.

  7. Aero port was external D ?

what was the length on the port (final tuning was ?)

Do you guys get better results with the slot port with the pvc on the port wall making like a last minute kerf (as pictured for the 15" NS enclosure) or did the aeroport yield better numbers... ?

For the sa-8s box yes the port was external. Best spl tuning will vary per vehicle.

  8. When you got time Jake

send me over the plans for that dual sa-8 box you made... need to know how you cut and placed the PVC pipe on it and the info on the port and box build... I'm gonna build one for our spring break comp and enter in the dual 8" class..

We got a TL so we will probably play around with the placement...

you got better results with the pvc pipe on the slot port or with aeroports ?

It's 1.75ft net volume with a single 6" aero port. Actual dimensions are something like 13.5" tall x 13.5" deep x 24" wide. I believe it'll do better with less volume though.

  9. Absolutely do not attempt to run your amp @ 0.25ohm daily. I don't even recommend for anyone other than experienced competitors to burp them @ 0.25ohm.

Three dual 1ohm subs wired in a series/parallel configuration will result in a 0.67ohm nominal impedance. DCR should be 0.4-0.5ohm. We've had great success running Sundown amps there daily but keep in mind that when wiring below 1ohm current draw goes up. A solid electrical is a must have. If it was me personally I wouldn't hesitate to run any of my Sundown amps @ 0.67 daily.
