Use 2.5 times rated power at your own risk. They handle power great thermally. Mechanically 1k watts each is more than enough to really get them moving. I'm pretty sure Walt has put the most power to them for the longest. He Bass Boxed his 4 sa-12s with a pair of saz-3000s strapped @ 0.25 each on them.

It uses three 6" aeros.

Bl 15"s will need the same size box as the NightShades. The only difference is the Shades have a little more sub displacement.

Could possibly be a little of both. Loud + built like crap = inevitable vehicle destruction.

Srsly, me & Rob laughed about this for a long time. Never has vehicle destruction been so damn funny. I still giggle randomly just thinking about it.

I've owned both at the same time and they sounded totally different. The NightShades are substantially louder. The Bls play the lows a little better. Take your pick which criteria you like better.

A few vids from testing today.
Massive Door Flex
Pay attention to the top of the door frame at the end. They are permanently bent out now. Gotta find a way to seal that back up.

Your vehicle's resonant frequency will determine best spl tuning.

You could just hook it up and see if there's something wrong. All the amps have that electronic smell. They're made and then packaged in plastic bags which hold that smell in. That's why it's so strong.

All the saz-3500d pics you could want right here.

If efficiency is your biggest concern then get the saz-3000d.

Ain't no way in hell I'd modify that box of yours. It's already wicked efficient.

Vid burping a 159.2 @ 34hz off 6 saz-1500s.

Did some more work yesterday. We hooked up 6 saz-1500s temporarily for testing purposes. Interesting result 159.2db @ 34hz. Just goes to show that the 160 off the saz-3500s was no where near full tilt volume yet. Thinking of testing out 6 saz-2000s to see how they perform in here as well. Multiple vids uploading now.
Here's a vid playing Air Forces screwed. The Term Lab is in real time so what you see is exactly what it's hitting at that moment.
He starts off low and then gets into the volume. You'll notice that after he gets into it the #s stay between 156.4 and 158.1. Not bad off only the saz-1500s.

Recommended 3-3.5ft net volume per NS 15"
displacement is like 0.22ft

Here's a couple vids of Team Outcast - Ms Cookie doing some Bass Boxing in the Crx with four Sundown Audio sa-12s. Those subs were beating hard.
1st round totally sealed
2nd round driver's door open
For those that don't know Bass Boxing consists of three rounds playing music for 30 seconds each time. 1st round sealed, 2nd round driver's door open, 3rd round both front door's open. Then average the three scores.

Question on the Signal wiring to Multiple amps
in Sundown Audio

You can either;
A - run 6 y-splitters from your sub output
B - strap each pair of amps and run 3 y-splitters
C - buy a line driver that has 4 outputs like a Maxx-Link
