New FI SSD is not powering

dual 2 configuration is simply wired parallel to achieve the 1 ohm load. positive out of the amp wired to positve on both coil terminals, negative from the amp wired to both negatives on the coil. if your amp does not have dual outputs on it being a monoblock or if you are bridging a 2 channel amp you will have to run both sets of wire off the same terminals out of your amplifier to the correct locations on the sub. there are other ways of wiring this as well like using bolts for the terminals and just hook the positives to the bolt being used as the positive and the negatives to the bolt being used as the nagatives and then hook the wires of your amp to the other side of the bolt on the outside of your box. there are a few different ways do configure your connections. we're here to help. just make sure you keep the polarity straight and you will be alright.

New FI SSD is not powering

what is your sub configuration and what final ohm load are you trying to obtain?

New FI SSD is not powering

you mentioned one wire to the right and one wire to the left, since it sounds as if you are thinking of a series configuration, how about the wire from negative to positive of the 2 voile coils to complete the circuit.. *edit* seems me and theabunai are thinking the exact same thing at the exact same time lol

George Carlin Dies At 71 In L.A

This is sad as hell. I grew up listening to Carlins' albums and watching his specials on HBO. The comedy world has lost a tue talent in the industry with his passing...

    powermaster should have a fourm

well i can think of one that could use a reply from a powermaster rep.... http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...;hl=powermaster Glad to see one of the guys from Powermaster around. The electrical side of this game is one that isnt represented real well and hopefully you can clear up some of the crap floating around about the correct principles to use...

    powermaster xs

yes you are reading that right but you need to dig in and look at the amp hours too with as much power as you are pulling. Those little 925's dont have crap for amp hours and are about the same size as a motorcycle battery. Yes they pack a punch for thier size but arent enough meat for what you are running. Just as a basis and i hope i am remembering this correctly (if not shame on me), but to run an amp like a 3000d you want a min of about 150 ah on tap.

    billing information received...

this is an email i recieved shortly after ordering my 10" ssd. granted i got it 4 days later after this but the letter may help explain a little of why you havent heard anything on your sub other than billing info recieved. From: Orders Fi Car Audio (Orders@FiCarAudio.com) Sent:Tue 6/10/08 2:49 PM To: kandiman.....@...................... All at Fi appreciate your business and strive to keep the shortest possible lead times on our custom made products. While normally this is 3-5 business days, currently we are at 7-10 business days for production. The current delays are due to the Q Series being brought back into rotation (with the massive influx of orders we received) as well as the set up and delays of the new machine shop and line. We truly appreciate your patience and will have your order out to you as soon as possible. If you have any further questions, please let us know Thanks, All at Fi Car Audio Be patient grasshopper, things will turn around shortly, they are just backed up a tad right now.

    I WANT LOUD !!

i'm curious as to how you are going to take 2 dvc 2 ohm subs and get a 1 ohm load. dual 1 ohm i can see unless you just hoping for that much impedance rise to get the amp up to the 1 ohm mark since dual 2's would either be .5 or 2 ohms....

    Just order my new amps!

depending on how fast your dealer moves on ordering, i'd figure probably tuesday or wednesday of next week b4 you have them in your greedy little hands...

    Amps for the 15" Q

"You're the 2nd person to suggest this to me. Where can I purchase it? I went to the site, and I didn't see any online dealers." Scroll back to the top of this page, look in the blue nav bar towards the left side where it says "Shop" and get busy. I own a 1000d myself and it is a bad ass amp and is very resonably priced for its output. If you have any doubts, hit the Sundown Audio section here on the forum and have a look at the power testing on the 1000d.

What about Kansas city anone has fi subs ???

Not to bring back a dead subject but as of friday i am the proud owner of a 10" ssd with the copper coil and bp options residing in Mission Ks. Voltage drop is a issue as of this moment but it still pulled a 142.6 drivers window down mic on dash. Sealed up was a 140.1 playing Young Jezzy's "Hypnotize" on both readings.

    Interesting...

just curious here, but what the hell is the mounting depth on that beast?

    New Sundown Website

site looks awesome, but i will agree on the font being a little on the tiny side. it was mentioned to quit running such high ass resolution. ya have to remember, the widescreens that come out anymore all want thier native resolution high.

    SunDown 3000

would be a great set up except you will be waiting a while to get a 3000d, they are out of stock until sometime in August for a new one. You might have some luck with http://www.db-r.com however.
