  1. I can't get the dustcap to stay in place, what am I doing wrong? Rubberized glue didn't hold,CA didn't hold,5 min epoxy didn't hold.i ruffed the surface of dustcap w/emery cloth. Time to step back and punt!

Also the first two weeks after the recone I had to keep volume down my amp would protect on me. Now I can full tilt w/no issues, confused on that also.

  2. Another battery wouldn't hurt, also do you have the big three done?

Also IMO I think those ZV4's would be happier w/lower tuning! They are Geared for low end output in stock form.

  3. Only used my local shop for a little meter time, before and after deadening an maybe a fuse purchase.

They told me they never heard of my SSA sub's,long story short..FI doesnt build sub's,,that Atomic audio builds all of FI products! They said!!!! Lol

  4. My zcon recone had blandex or however its spelled lol mounted inside the box with a peace of wood screwed to it,just small enough to go thru the center of voicecoil w foam pading in there.it had another peace of blandex screwed to it on top

  5. Well then you didn't have your amp set right because no sub should do that. Always reset your amp even with the same subs.

Can I ask how misalignment of the moving assembly has to do with setting the gains?

Are you using one of those Kreg jigs to screw the inside of the box like that?

    Yes sir.

Nice! I've been eyeing one of those for a little while.I bought the rip cut attachment the other day, haven't gotten the chance to use it yet.

    Nice job so far!

  7. Why not go with a 6" aero port if your dimensions don't allow for more port area or an overall bigger enclosure. The only way to tell if it is insufficient port area is to model the driver. How much power do you plan on using? For daily 47square inches of port may be perfect, so you never know. Some people do use larger ports for number chasing.

    bc2000d for power...I gave these measurements 36w x 15h x 28d. He dropped the h to 14 and depth to 26

  8. Its a nice design, as long as it meets the specs or modeled for the subwoofer I don't see what else there is to say. Just make sure it is well constructed.

I like the design...4cuft after displacement. 47sqin port area tuned at 35hz.

I feel its lacking in port area a little, but I'm no box designer either.

Edit: As far as I know he models them as well but was an extra charge for the graph.

  9. nah..not if you have cooling technology that works :)

..biggest problem that we had was people burning tinsel leads up due to those lovely cheap korean high current amplifiers..we only had a handful of coils that people literally burned them up, most of that was due to wiring a coil out of phase or an amplifier taking a dump and killing the sub with it

people are quick to blame a product before their own actions! Been almost three years running my KOREAN amp with no issues.

  10. We obviously don't keep as active on the forums as we use to.

I think it is a time thing....so many social media choices now days....so little time.

Dropped in to say hey to whomever may be drifting through .

I'm here bro!!! I check in to SSA pretty much everyday!!!

  11. Wait time varies really, seen some people get their subs in a quick time frame and others had to wait. Tax season still going on so it may take a little longer, no way to give a definite answer.

X2....back when I ordered my Icons, they where on my steps 1 1/2 to 2 weeks
