I had it up and working about 75% of the time yesterday (at least 75% of the time I was actually paying attention). They managed to get most of their brackets half way done yesterdy so not sure how long it was on for today. It started at 9:30 I think this morning and was working for me. I turned it off soon after to go do something else though.

no specific routine, but here is what it usually is for a sub amp. 1. tape RCA and remote wire together 2. take out deck 3. connect RCA and remote to deck and drop wires down through dash 4. get power wire through firewall (leave enough room in engine compartment) 5. then run all wires to back of vehicle 6. do amp ground 7. mount amp wherever, usually back of seat 8. connect all wires (power, ground, remote, RCA & speakers) 9. connect subs (leave enough room to get to the amp to tweak it 10. install fuseholder up front 11. connect to positive battery terminal 12. Test system 13. Button everything back up That about covers it I think

I had a 93 Talon with a pair of 15" Armageddons. You can probably do the 15's but just not have a ton of airspace. I had just 6 cubes for my pair.

Sorry, no results. The guy building the box was too busy preparing for his show tomorrow. So no box and no show for me tomorrow. oh well, always another day.

You had to download it by yesterday. They are dedicating all their servers to host the event. It has been on and off the whole day. Pretty cool while on, frustrating while off.

Here is the first tests. This was with 24 volts AC. I am just breaking them in and didn't push then too hard. Most of the noise is because I have the vent partially covered up. Some of it is mechanical noise. Oh yeah, this was at 20 Hz. I got them at dealer cost which was a tad under $100. The MSRp is only $200 on them. Grrr, won't let me post the MOV file. Here is a pic though where you can sort of see the dB logo raised up. This is not full excursion. If anyone wants a 3.5 meg video just let me know.

For SQ I try to be right around 20-25% of the overall cone area. That usually takes care of all the worries of port noise. So in this case I would use roughly 25-30 sq inches give or take. Here is a site that helps a little bit also. http://www.carstereo.com/help2/Articles.cfm?id=31

This weekend they will be tested with only 200 RMS each. I have heard that they can do quite well with little power. Guess I will find that out:)

Not sure why it is that day, but the guy putting it on was concerned about that. I think it is because it is because it is one of the last days to have a show count for the 2004 season. Not possitive though. Hopefully I will be there, but it depends if the wife can get off work or not.

Looks like it has been bumped up a few weeks. October 24th is when she will roar again. This show will qualify me for IASCA Finals. YEAH. She won't be complete, but enough along to compete. Pick up my subs and box this coming Saturday and she will be ready to go.

This will be my first show in over 2 years by this time! Last event I was in was the 2002 SLAP Finals where I was 4th. My system isn't designed for dB Drag so I will be outclassed a bit, but it will be fun to get into the lanes again. Just found out my old Eagle Talon holds the record in Stock 2 class in IASCA. Hmmm, How come I couldn't do that with the car? LOL. After several owners and some modificatins it is now loud!

The car never made it there. He lost the alternator just before he was getting ready to go.

This is the next owners install. His name was Stephen Matthews. He is Regal 1975 on the forums. He did upper 150's I believe with this at the first SLAP championships.
