What is the best 4x6 front speakers?

First of all, I know that Kicker isn't the best sh!t out there. At the time, that's all I could afford. However, if you read reviews about people with the ZX750.1 with the two Kicker Comp12s, you would be surprised. It does pound like hel| and, in fact, I am in need of a power cap. But I am soon to sell the Kicker setup (and rewire the 4 guage power as it is fu*kin' up my driver side door) to Memphis. But back to the topic. According to Crutchfield.com, my front door speakers are 4x6 (even with the Monsoon System). I think I'll just check out some Memphis and Infinity products. Also, the whole cutting, drilling, and such...I'm not a pro at. I'm not even about to fu*k up my new (to me) car, so if there are any 4x6 speakers that install easily and are of good quality, specifically suggest some more. Thanks for the help and thanks in advance.
  2. Hi. I was just wondering what the best 4x6 front door speakers would have to be in your opinions. What I am dealing with is the following: 2001 Pontiac Grand Am GT Stock Monsoon Sound System 2 Kicker Comp 12s Kicker ZX750.1 Mono Amp Kicker 4 Gauge Wiring Kit Kicker Rear 6x9s And now all I need is the front two stock door speakers replaced. I was wanting something with a high rms wattage but good quality as well. I was thinking the Kicker 4x6s since everything else I have is Kicker, but is there something better? I, personally, like Kicker, but I am looking for the best of the best here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Kicker System Problems

I have been the only one to mess with my system. But then again, I'm not a pro at it yet. I'm still trying to figure it all out so I may have messed it up myself. The gains are both set at 6 and I'm not sure about the frequency (probably something I should know, but again, I'm no pro). The amp is grounded to a part in my trunk under the trunk carpet. I'll check all the connections and I'm going to a guy's place that knows his stuff in a few days to cehck it out. I'll get back to you if I figured it out. Thanks.

    Kicker System Problems

Hi. I have recently been having problems with my Kicker sound system. I have a Kicker ZX750 Mono Amp, 2 12 in. Kicker Comps, Kicker KS69 Speakers, and a Kicker 4 gauge wiring kit. I have only been using the system for about 2-3 months now. Latly, however, the bass has been cutting in and out. What I mean by that is that on songs that had nice bass before...now the bass doesn't play half of the song. It's like every other three beats. Do I need a power cap or what is going on here? My headlights are also dimming when the bass does pound (but not all the time). Also, on the amp, there is a frequency setting that I am not sure what to set at. Does anyone have any suggestions for this too? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Replacement Parts

Hello, again. I was just wondering if anybody knew the names to these parts of the car because I need to replace them. The first one is the cover in the back of a sedan (2001 Pontiac Grand Am GT) that has the hole for the seatbelts to come through. Anyone happen to know the name of that? The other one is on the front passenger side. It's the piece most people use to hide their wires. While installing my new system, I broke a clip off of each part so now the pieces wont stay in correctly. I was just wondering if anybody knew the names of these parts so I could purchase new ones. Also, do you think eBay has these? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this is confusing. I am about to go to work and just needed to post this before I went. Thanks in advance!
  6. Hi. I havn't been on here in a while. I just gt my system all hooked up and everything sounds good. I just had one more question; What kind of speakser would fit my front door speakers for a 2001 Pontiac Grand AM GT? I would like Kicker front speakers with built in tweeters, but I am not sure as to what size would fit my car. If someone could help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    RCA Questions

I want the Equalizer to tune my music to exaclty how I want it. The line driver I just heard would help my system's situation (rinning nothing from the head unit).

    RCA Questions

I was planning on useing it for at least an equalizer, line driver/preamp, and I need a voltage meter. That is...if these even require RCAs.
  9. Hi. This is my second post and, if you read my first post, i'm sure you know I am not that great with the car audio stuff yet. But I am putting together a system, but I am going to stick with the Monsoon Head Unit that I have in my 2001 Pontiac Grand AM GT. I was just wondering what could I buy that could add more RCA inputs/outputs for my system? I am going to need at least three or four pairs. Is there a product that is made just to hook up into your car to allow you to add more RCA jacks? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

2001 Pontiac Grand AM GT Speakers

Ok. So I went to pick up the 15s yesterday...and they wouldn't even fit in my trunk! I had to stick with the two CVR 12s. However, since I have the Monsoon Stereo System, I went ahead and tried to hook everything up through the trunk by means by a 6x9 inverter/diverter (I a not quite sure which one it was). But that ended up being a dud. So now I must wait until Friday before I can actually hear my system.

2001 Pontiac Grand AM GT Speakers

I have an amp and I am getting the subs tomarrow. That should be all I need...correct? I only asked about speakers because I wasn't sure if the system would sound as good if everything was brought up to the front? The amp should still increase loudness and I should still be able to hear the 15s just fine without the rear speakers going?

2001 Pontiac Grand AM GT Speakers

You don't need rears and perhaps should look at subs other than those Kickers. What exactly are your expectations and total budget? Hey. Thanks for the help. But what do you mean I don't need rears? Would a system work just as good if all the audio was brought up to the front only? And I just chose Kicker because I heard they are of nice quality. I already have a Kicker ZX750.1 Amp and I am getting two Kicker CVR15s for $150 tomarrow.

2001 Pontiac Grand AM GT Speakers

Yeah, I am going to replace all of the speakers. My budget can only be up to $200 because I am also in need of my Kicker CVR12s. Also, what size speakers would be good?
  14. Hi. I am new here, and somewhat new to the whole car audio thing. I just got a 2001 Pontiac Gand AM GT, and was wondering what kind of speakers (not subwoofers) would fit and sound nice in it. There is just one blown speaker (rear right), and I need it fixed soon so I can start installing my system. Any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
