    China is "ok" for parts. I have about 30 prototypes sitting here for myself and other companies and I find several faults all the time, mainly with the poor QC but the part quality is an issue as well.

    Funny thing about any OEM, and China is no exception here, quality and quality control are only as good as you're willing to pay for.

    Good drivers now are still going to be good drivers in a few years. As has been mentioned, the primary change in the market is going to be a continuation in the trend of more and more cheap drivers, more and more SPL drivers and fewer and fewer high fidelity drivers. High fidelity drivers will continue to command a premium price as well.

    Odds are you burnt the leads up..the subsonic filters suck ass on the rockford amps.

    You'll have to pay for a recone..warranty does not cover open or burnt coils, just manufacturing defect.

    I did notice that even with the SSF on, the sub would still play frequencies well below 25hz. that may have been what happened. However, one coil reads 3ohms on the multi and the other reads nothing at all. the sub was a Dual 1. Guess it's time for a recone.

    SSF slopes down. it does not just cutoff anything and everything below set point.

    The 3 ohm side is probably on a limb.

    get dual 2 ohm so you can wire in series for 4 ohm and then when you get a sub amp, you can either wire at 1 ohm or 4 ohm still.

    I think you would be very happy with an SSD. I had an SSD on 400 watts in the house in 1-1.5 cubes (stuffed) and it sounded great.

    There are plenty of people running less alternator output then their amp draws. Batteries will be fine. It's not going to blow up his system. unless he's playing full tilt ALL the time, he's going to be fine.

    But not knowing how much room you have for the amount of subs you want to go with in a ported box is retarded. Getting the zcons and putting them in a sealed box with this type of power is stupid as someone had said. i'd go with less subs for a better sized box and then you could also go with less power at that point too.

    good box > more cone area and power.

    I don't think he really contributes to the forum and i could care less about the kid, but i didn't see a problem with what he was saying to warrant a ban. its shit talking on the internet. who cares.

    damn, i can't find the video where some e-thug gets confronted by the dude he shit talks to on youtube. it was funny as fuck.
