lmao that sucks since it says male, I guess he/she has a reason for laying on his/her tummy which if that were true is Terrible and very discomforting -
If this is anything like its little brother the ever popular SA12 I would suggest anyone in the market for bass in general get this!! I would love to see an 18 to complete this whole line from 8-18, but I dont see jacob doing that.....or

Tirefryr off topic, but who is in your avatar holy hell!! On topic, this is a great time to spend money on christmas to get I will pick up 2-3500s to help out jacob end of nov probably! -
That will work, obviously you want to make sure you have the electrical to back it up thats for sure, but by the looks of it your well on your way! Make sure to come back an share the results!
-
Although old its nice to bring up, I have to ask though, do these come with a pair of boxers and a wet wipe for the aftermath in your shirts from unveiling this beautiful piece of work?
-
I think the overall sound reguardless of 5-8s or 2-12s is going to be the same, the cone area difference on that power isnt going to make much if any of an audible difference, and your not going for numbers or competition so its not going to matter really what you use, Im going to say go with the cheapest route, and I would imagine thats the 2-12s
-
Thanks for the clarification jacob. I cant wait to see the final out come of this little bundle of joy!
-
Its going to be totally up to you. Finding out your power output to some is worth it, obviously to others it is not, further more keeping the power clean (before clip) is going to be something to look into because we all know clipping is what tears stuff up, which isnt what most people set out to do on a daily setup. Im sure all of you at least know 1 person that tore a sub/subs up from turning the gain up to much, or cranking the volume etc clipped the ever loving hell out of the sub and didnt understand why?!
-
yep not a problem, an let us know how it turns out.
-
perhaps, you will find out when you do it though, I was thinking more like 150-175, but who knows its going to be based on the install, your going to get alot of heat from the that mean coils as well.
-
I think running a pair of 3500s would be plenty to be honest!
-
A saz2000 would be a solid choice as well, I dont know that your going to get where you want to be with adding a rated 300more watts! Jacob does trade in on stuff so trade the 1200 in for the 2000 and pay the difference that would be my choice in your situation.
-
get another amp and strap the amps to a trio of subs, or use 2 amps, or run the 3 amps an gain match them
-
Only way to really tell the power those subs are seeing is going to be clamp the power
-
I wasnt talking about an SQ woofer, I would like to see a 1000rms 8 though, the SA8 is already by far nasty! I would imagine the neo would help the new 8 a great deal though.
-
I understand time being taken jacob, but I have always thought you did your best and created the absolute top notch product you could, I just want to see it done. 1000rms maybe?
-
That would work as well, but people are going to say dont run amps strapped daily and dont run them below 1ohm if you dont know what your doing on and on. The 2500 takes up the least amount of space, will be tons of power on hand an he can keep it clean!!
-
Looks sick!! Now you just have to assemble one and give us pictures of the real in life one
-
I would go with a saz 2000 or saz2500, then run the gain low and dial in the output power to the subs to reach at least their rms, an 0scope works best and there are plenty of tutorials around forums to aid in this process as well. Some people are going to say thats way to much power, but its better to have plenty overhead then cranking the gains clipping the signal by far. Its really up to the owner to make things work properly to prevent misuse of the product. Because an amps says 2500@1ohm does not mean your going to get 2500@1ohm hints the gain on an amp everything plays a factor voltage, hu volume, gains!

I knew about that as well, but even so the coils are still going to warm up and that in turn is going to make your imp rise, or at least in my testing it has done that 100% of the time. Example resting imp was 0.5 played 30 seconds of music at 45-47 hz (lil jon kings of crunk album track 5) during the run the load went up to 1.2 let it sit for 30 seconds repeated the test resting imp was 0.9 now, during the run the imp went up to 1.6 with what was posted with the square wave, and sine wave, would that mean the song alone was keeping the imp rise going up because its roughly a steady small freq band?

Judging by what has been said minus 10% of the price of the current Zv2 woofer for price.
-
Well considering you listen to rock and techno mainly I would go 38-42hz tuning maybe even a tad higher, do a search like "slot port calculator" an you should get a tons of search results, if you cant find one I will give you a link.
-
if that works thats great, I was just picturing the subs hitting the bottom of the seats, thats why I wanted pics to see what he has going on.
-
Just for listening I like to tune around 34-36hz, its going to be your personal listening habits, style of music rap, rock, techno, country?
-
I would go 0.6 per woofer.
