  1. the 2500 has two ground and two power inputs that both need to be filled.. how do i do this? getting a second ground is obviously easy, but how can i run a second power wire? do i just get a distrib block? i have a grand cherokee with a stock 160 amp alt. im gonna run 0 ga instead of the 4 i have now.. how do you think i will do as far as power is concerned? electrical risk? i was thinking about just getting a new battery, is it possible to just hook it up as my start up battery or am i better off to run it to the back.. im trying to save money so i would rather not run it back.
  2. i have two fi ssd 15's running at 600rms each on a pheonix gold 1200.1 and it just isnt pounding enough for me i wanted to give the fi's a little more so i was looking for a new amp. i wanted to give them anywhere from 800-1000 each. i came across an amazing deal and got a brand new opti4000d which retails for about $900-1200 and i got it for $300. i just couldnt pass it up.. i know there are mixed opinions on the opti's but for the most part i hear they are decent. now heres the question.. 3000 watts at 2 ohms is too much to give to my ssd's. what do you think i should do? im totally down for new subs.. or i can sell the opti and make like $500 for a new amp. i love the fi's and was thinking about maybe a single btl 15 at 3000rms.. i like sq, but crave spl haha. by the way. the opti's specs are : 2000 at 4ohms - 3000 at 2 - 4000 at 1
  3. yeah i think i wanna go with new subs. how would a single btl 15 do with 3000 watts compared to my ssd's? i have a 02 grand cherokee and my amp now doesnt drain enough power for electrical upgrades.. i have 0 gauge wire and my alt does like 140 i think and i have a badass battery. i would definately have to go with a new alt or some batteries to power the opti. whats the cheapest solution for power?

    Box dimen.

i wish i could so badly but my wheel wells in the back limit the width and they extend too far back into the trunk... so i should double wall the front side?

    Box dimen.

what do you think. Will face rear of 02 grand cherokee. 1200rms amp. 6 cubes. tuned right around 33.5ish 4.5in port width 39.5in width 18in height 20.5in depth thats only gonna leave me with like .5in between port and sub, sub and sub, and other side of box. (including .75in MDF) concerns/recomendations

got my amp, now what subs??

just sold my 2 type r's(way too tired if seeing them EVERYWHERE). i need a new setup. I have a pg rsd1200.1 amp which runs a true 1200. i'm looking at a couple different subs in fi's line, but i'm totally open to new stuff. i want a setup that leans more towards spl. I listen to rap, but i dont just want sloppy loud. I drive an SUV so space is not a concern. dual 15's? dual 12's? or should i go with a single really powerful sub? (i would like to fill my trunk a lil bit. I like a nice display so i wouldnt mind even like 3 or 4 cheaper subs) Price range- 300-400 (400 being very most)

got my amp, now what subs??

haha a lot more money will stay off my goals list i'm gonna go with the SSD's if i have electrical problems after the install, then i'll cross that bridge. I'm gonna go start building my box ha.
  8. check out the Pheonix Gold rsd1200.1 sexy amp, great price for true 1200rms @2ohms ($250-280), built like a champion, will bump the hell out of a Q. i love mine.

got my amp, now what subs??

i have a 02 grand cherokee. as far as enough power, i never had any problems running the amp before.. its not overly power hungry and doesnt dim lights or anything. but the bigger subs and larger enclosure is going to demand more power right? I dont think i want just one sub... i like the sound of two. you really think one 15" BL will be louder that two SSD's? if so then its still a consideration..

    2 ssd 15", or 1 BL 15"???

I know i would be underpowering two ssd's with 1200 watts, but what would be louder, the two SSD'd or one BL. Also, i could go with a single 18" or 15" BL... opinions??

got my amp, now what subs??

x2 If you don't have room for the 18", get the single 15" BL. Still will be impressive. You think my amp and a stock electrical system can put enough out for the 18? and whats the output going to be compared to 2 ssd 15"s

    2 ssd 15", or 1 BL 15"???

true 1200. PG rsd1200.1 its a solid amp. you think the two 15's will perform better? and i can build a box for either setups(going ported), i drive a grand cherokee, should i face the subs up or to the rear?

    2 ssd 15's

i havnt bought the ssd's yet, do you think i would be better off with a single bl 15 or 18 at 1200 watts?

    2 ssd 15's

Anyone have custom box dimensions for two 15" ssd?

    2 ssd 15's

2002 jeep grand cherokee. theres room for 39.5in width and i would like to keep the height below 20in. i would have 1200rms running to them.

Perfect amp match for two ssd 15's

Alright. i am pretty much set on getting two ssd 15's. does anyone know of an amp that will work with this setup. right now i have two 12 type r's (which are so freakin boring haha) on a pheonix gold rsd1200.1. My price range for a new amp is pretty open.

Perfect amp match for two ssd 15's

is it a bad idea to run the ssd's with my current amp (PG rsd1200.1). my only problem with it is that its not one ohm stable so i dont wanna get dvc2ohm ssd's and be stuck with subs that i cant run off a one ohm stable amp later. and does anyone have a link to a saz-1500d for sale.

Perfect amp match for two ssd 15's

im thinkin the SAZ-1500D is a little too expensive. what if i do around 400 ish range. the Alphasonik PMA1000DA, Alphasonik PMA800DA, or Hifonics BXi2607D seem all right around the right price. what do you think about those?
