    Spinning Sub Woofer enclosure?

Shows design and ingenuity. It's the same concept that's been used in steering wheels for 60+ years. it has been in use longer than that. the most common name is a (slip ring), or the lesser known term ( rotary joint). they work really well with ac voltage, and radio frequencies which they are used in self pointing self stabilized satellite antennas. when used for dc pass the brushes wear out much faster, and you should look for a rebuild able one if that is your need. they are very simple, i used to build them for under water rov's at oceaneering, and used now in satellite communications.

The foam surrounding on my dcon ripped

I think the op meant put goop on backside of tear than tape on top of glue. So you actually glue the tape to the under side of surround.

    2 bl 18's in tahoe

yes they are known to reduce port noise, but they do not defeat the law of physics. there is a small reduction in friction, through the reduction of turbulence, but it is really small, i use aero's in every ported box i build. multiple smaller ports will not perform as well as one single larger aero, even if you have the exact same amount of area. setups with multiple ports create more friction, and in extreme cases can cause tuning to drastically change as output increases. if you can, always go for the least amount of ports as possible by increasing the diameter. just a suggestion.

    Silverado by Epicenter Designs

I like doing things different. There are some out there capable of handling 100rms, and if crossed around 800hz through 4500hz they would be almost as loud as the tweets, and would really improve imaging, and voicing. I just hate how harsh these music spl installs are. I see more use of pro drivers, horns, bullet tweets, because there so easy to get loud. I understand that in these installs sq is not a concern. I just Thought it would have been cool, but then it probably would have been one of those touches that only 1 out of 100 would even understand how unique it is to appreciate it in the first place.

it would have been cool to do some 3" soft dome mids, in the a pillars with one tweeter arranged in a MTM config. just something not seen everyday.

2 batteries not wired in parralel

yes you can run two leads from the alt one for each battery, they will still be paralleled. and if the run to the second batt is long, as in going to the trunk i recommend fusing it on both ends for safety reasons

    Welcome to the IHoP

I'm sure even if they call it the pantera it wont be the same, because they will more than likely resolve the overheating problems that plagued the original. But even with it's faults I have always had a secret lust for it.

    PR for car audio

I run pr's in my car no problem, but they are mounted on the side of the box and the sub is top firing. Pr's are not designed to support the weight of the tuning mass on a vertical plane

what does it take to get 150dB @ 25Hz?

There are people saying they CAN do it, but have they? There are a lot of people that haven't built a thing in their life and think WinISD is accurate. this one made me lol what is really funny is krypto has said on the roe he sticks with the IB's because in WinISD no other sub comes close for the price. i learned when i was 17 to stop trusting those damn programs, and just build different boxes and experiment, oh and use the right type of equipment. and mind you back then all we really had that was free was blaupunkt box building software. i don't know if it was krypto's intention but it almost seems like he is fishing for a pat on the back, and a reason for him to feel justified about his build.

    sa-8 or sa-15

what kind of vehicle? if the trunk is rather small you may actually end up louder with the three eights , because the nclosure will take up less space in the trunk, although you wont know unless you tried it both ways. reason i mention is i remember a sq car back in 96 that ran jl, and for his first season he was rocking a w6 18, and the next season changed out to three w6 8's and gained considerably, he didn't meter it, but i remember he said he had to back the gain on the amp down alot. he thought maybe it was because the box for the 18 was so large it actually blocked the sound from traveling into the cabin.
