    First HT "project"

I used a plate amp from PE for my personal sub. After using O Audio's plate amp for my buddies MAG, I don't think I'll go back to PE.

    whats your 9 to 5?

LOL. I was in Nursing school until my father had his aneurysm rupture. I got promoted to full time at the video store while on my "break from school." I'm putting my application in with the PA State Police when the time comes for me to move on with my life. If not, it's back to school!

    What's wrong with my sub?

I know you can secure a surround with a two part epoxy. I'm not sure about the spider though.

three way or two way active front stage

Have you thought about going with a CD player that has an equalizer built into it? So you can do everything from up front?

Yeah wait. Let me go 700-800, still more than I want to spend, but it always ending up happening anyway. Are you allotting any money for some sort of noise barriers? If you're goal is to achieve better sound quality, this is a must. I'd say your next step is to decide on the 3 or 2-way. This is really up to you, and what you think your install and audio experience will allow you to do. After deciding that, I say we pick out the amplifiers. After we do that we can discuss mounting options that we have for this, and finally we can pick drivers.
  6. I agree. A run of 0/1 to a distribution block.

Kappa speakers shorting out on door

Have you thought about building MDF rings to mount them to? From what I gathered, it's ONLY when it's touching the metal of your door, right?

    First HT "project"

The last HT box I built was tuned to 24Hz. I feel that to be a good compromise both ways. BUT it is a compromise.

800-900 for JUST the drivers? If so, you have some sick options.

Where to find a bass remote for SAE-1200D

Send a PM to Sundownz (Jacob) and ask him. He'll be able to point you somewhere.

Where to find a bass remote for SAE-1200D

Not to be a douchebag, but do you really need one??? I set it and forget it... In all the amps I've had I only installed it, with the 1st one that had it, then found I never used it... So I stopped wasting the time and effort to run and place it... (not that its that hard) I used mine ALL the time.

Just out of curiosity, did you go to the SDS website and read his writeup's?

    foam surround ?

    I think you'll need a recone there.
  24. It does. My friend has a 1000/1, and after updating just my fuse, even with 4 gauge wire, my saz-1200 is walking all over the JL. Just playing the Devil's Advocate here. But what do you mean exactly? Did you clamp the two of them, or is your system just louder?
