  1. Just wanted to know what all you Home Audio guru's think about Paradigm. My roommate has a pair of mini-monitors that are hooked up to an Onkyo receiver. Personally, I think they sound amazing. Yet again, they are the only real home audio speakers I've heard. Aside from Walmart specials.

  2. What is the effects of creatine on a runner? How much is ATP used/regenerated during endurance runs (3+) miles, shorter runs (1 mile) and even sprints... Would a track athlete notice positive affects taking creatine?

If you were training for track I strongly, STRONGLY, recommend not taking this. I'm not sure exactly why, but this chit makes you cramp. If you are doing hard sprints and such, make sure you're taking in a lot of water through out the day.

Don't do it is all I gotta say

    Why?

  3. Okay, I have a question. I really don't know how to word this, but I think you guys will understand. Okay, so I saw the thread a couple weeks ago (I think it was JimJ) and he was talking about these really big speakers his friend ordered. There are pictures of it in a garage. He then said it gets painfullly loud with only 7watts....That's whats confusing me. There is something I'm obviously missing here. How does it get so loud with only 7watts?

    Thanks

  4. I have a 1000wrms amp along with a 40wrms amp in my car right now. I have 0/1awg running the power back to a dist. block where it splits off to 4awg. The big 3 I would recommend for sure, but if you're willing to put the money out I would also run 0/1awg back to the trunk. You can't go too big on wire, only to small.

Someone else will tell you if 2awg wire is fine, I'm not too sure.

  5. What Are your goals? do you wanna hear more sq or spl? i personally would go with the 12'' q and bp option with a sundown 1500d......

I agree with muddybass. I have a Q12 and I LOVE it....It gets plenty loud. Since you live in a warmer area I would definitely get the cooling with it too.

  6. I honestly think the hardest part of building a box is planning it. After you get everything planned and measured up on your MDF its just cut and paste....err...rather cut, glue, and clamp! I had zero wood working experience when I build my ported box and it turned out great! So I'm sure if you just ask someone to draw you up some plans (which is what I did) you can whip together a box in no time.

  7. I love the gym I belong to at home. It is kinda small, but it's not a mainstream gym. Just a Mom 'n Pop gym, and older couple owns it. The people who lift there are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. There are bodybuilders down there and power lifters, so whatever you want you can find!

Also, I hate, HATE, the YMCA gym in my town. If you try to go in anytime after school until nine its always a bunch of 12-13 year old kids being idiots. Another thing I have against it is: If you do ANYTHING other than a curl, bench press, or squat everyone looks at you like your crazy.

  8. So I wanna hear what your favorite supplement you have EVER taken was/is. It doesn't matter what type of supplement it was, just your personal favorite.

My favorite was BSN no-xplode. It gave me a great energy boost and kept me upbeat during my workout. I did also take NANO Vapor which was ridiculous from my experience. It gave me a huge boost, the downside was it made me sh*t my brains out...haha.

  9. Diet pills scare me. I had a close neighbor who ended up dying because of diet pills. This was when I was much younger so I don't know much about what she was taking. I do assume it was an ephedra based supplement though. I have nothing against any supplements though, to each his own.

As far as fat loss goes I think the best way is cut out the sweets and hit the cardio!

  10. Yeah, it really does seem too good to be true. Who knows though....I haven't seen one person who actually tried it...haha...maybe if I'm bored this summer I'll take it and let you guys know....we'll see though.

  12. I thought the same thing about "0 chance of building a ported box." I asked around here and someone gave me plans for a box. I have NEVER built a box before that and mine turned out great! So if you're interested in a ported box I wouldn't completely throw it out the window yet. It really wasn't that hard.

As far as building it goes. Titebond III and clamps are your friend! The CutID is the hole you want to cut for mounting your sub. The SubOD is the overall circumference of the subwoofer I believe.

  13. http://www.stemulite.com/

Has anyone had an opportunity to use this stuff yet? Seems kinda gimmicky to me. I believe it's by the same people who made Endothil-CR. The forums at bodybuilding.com seem to think it's gimmicky too. Just curious about anyone's thoughts on this stuff, or if anyone has had the opportunity to try it.

  14. I know this is kinda late, but my goals (by the end of July) are as followed:

Currently 5'8" 165, would like to be about 175.

Get my mile time under 6 minutes.

Get my bench up to 250 (again).

    30 body weight pullups

10 deep dips with 95lbs around the waist.

    Bodyfat around 7-10%

I think if I could get all that back again I'd be thrilled.

  15. I have my Q in a ported enclosure right now (2.3 @ 32Hz I believe) and I'm in the process of building a sealed enclosure (1 cuft). I should have it done this weekend so hopefully I can let you know what I think about it. It's just hard because I'm in college right now so my time is limited.
