i think i'd just wait until u can afford the t2000 its not that expensive. Otherwise like stated just get the SAZ1500. Also i'd recommend kenetic batteries instead of the optimas. get 1 HC2400 and call it a day.

ok so i have a CDA-9887 Maybe its because i'm not using it to its full potential, maybe i'm just picky but man i am starting to really dislike this radio. Seems like it has a chitty tuner. Because after 2 months now i've finally managed to procure an antenna adapter for my car. And i can't get good reception on some local channels and there are some channels that were super strong i can't catch at all. Now i'm wishing i'd stuck with pioneer 880PRS like i originally wanted. Anyone know if this is normal? i don't have the multEQ tuner either so maybe if i had that i'd like my system more. Also the 9887 is supposed to have 4.0V outputs, but i find this hard to believe because i had a JVC with 2.5V outputs and it seemed that the amps were noticibly stronger when i still had that radio. I don't know i'm just getting a little fed up with everything i put in my car from subwoofers to amps to decks. None of the subs i put in sound good anymore and the amps all seem weak. When i had the Avic D3 didn't seem to have that problem. So i don't know whats going on anymore. I might be selling a CDA 9887 soon who knows.

I was wondering if anyone knew who if anyone made a recone kit for the JL 12w3. I think its probably a v1 or v2 but its dvc. the cone has come separated from the surround lol. And one of my employees wants to make a frankenstein so i figured i'd see if anyone knew of a recone kit for it. thnx

Ok well i got rid of the D3, and got a CDA-9887. LOL, bid difference i know. But before i've even done any sound setup or tweaking my subs instantly sounded better after they were turned on. But DAMN there are alot of sound options. I tried for 10 mins just to setup the HPF so i can take the bass out of the front and rear speakers to no avail. Needless to say at this point i feel kinda dumb. But i've been really busy today so i haven't had a chance to read the manual. I knew this deck had alot of options but man this is rediculous. I still have the stock hi's in my car but i plan on changing them out. And i know that everyone is going to say go ACTIVE. So before i even start purchasing products explain to me exactly what it means to have an ACTIVE setup. Because i'm not sure i understand whats up. I guess thats all at the moment. need to discuss what i'm going to put for highs I have a 2007 honda fit. With 4 6.5" speakers one in each door. was thinking components upfront and plain 6.5" speakers in the rear or just some 6.5" midbass drivers. Currently the subwoofer setup consists of 2 8" kicker CVRs with an 650 wrms amp. at 1 ohm. But the substage changes alot. My car in the one from the shop that we put setups in to see how they sound and demo to customers. Basically whatever we feel like listening to that week or so.

yeah i was looking into the PDX amps because space is becoming more and more of an issue lately. How do you like it? Versus something else of the same cost. What speakers are you using? I've seen a couple of component sets that i like but i don't want to waste the money buying them if i'm just going to be throwing out the Xover.

O I C. is it really that important what if say your crossovers were adjustable? Active still sounds better i guess. so you would need a 4 channel just for the front stage. what about the rear stage? or you talking about using the two channels for say all 4 of the 6.5s and the other two for the tweeters up front

I've sold alot of the 980BTs and the older 780s which also had color screen. I've only sold one or two 880prs but i've seen quite a few of them. Noone around here really uses the alpines stuff. That said today i bought a CDA-9887. I had an AVIC-D3. And my favorite feature was the BT. I sold my D3 before it became problematic. Also this is the reason why i didn't buy an 800prs. Reason being almost all of the Pioneer units that i've sold with the RCA plug in the back (all of the RCAs are on a molex plug that hangs off the deck) have had ground noise issuses developed over time. Not like a little engine noise. ALOT. The AVIC-D3 also uses this RCA plug setup. And recently i've seen a few pioneers that have the standard RCA built into the unit that have been getting engine noise grounding problems. Needless to say I'm not going to be buying anymore Pioneer headunits until this problem is fixed. And when compaired the CDA-9887 is much cheaper than either the 800PRS or the 980BT

I have a 12" home audio sub with a 150 watt amp on it "supposedly 500 watt". When it was in my dorm room it would cause u to not be able to swallow. Similar to the feeling u get when ur in a car with a loud stereo. It was bad ass. so, wow, bandpass. Who puts a speaker like an RE in a bandpass. And where did u get the RE's that someone would allow you to put them in a bandpass box. Especially one that was bought from bestbuy or the like. I don't really even know what to say to that. I guess if ur using all that best bet for some subs is to go to Walmart and buy some lightning audio or somehting and put them in a box.
