windows 10...great
spend more money to upgrade , take 3 years to learn to use it , find out it sucks....wait for the next upgrade .....
Microsoft has us stuck in a financially and mentally draining loop.....LOL

I made a few enclosures with both Lexan and Plexi
the Lexan flexes/vibarates if used for large windows or panels and makes noise, it can not be bent either
because it has a memory and wants to flex back , Plexi can be bent with heat and it will hold it's shape
lexan scratches easily too

windows 8 sucks
when I was working on my website I wanted to snap my laptop in half and drive over it

that's one of the reasons why those expensive Frugal Horns have a nice looking hardwood faceplate
and everything behind is either Baltic Birch or MDF
personally I hate working with MDF because of the dust but it's the most acoustically dead
and the reason why I use it the most

I built a few enclosures out of real hardwood , measure 10 times and cut once
because one bad cut can be expensive....LOL
hardwood makes a nice looking enclosure but it has to be maintained
like a piece of fine furniture .. oiled so it does not dry out

the mouse button it just vanishes never to be seen again....weird

this windows 8 makes me feel semi-retarded....LOL
anyways I have having trouble dragging some things over from page to page and some
things just will not copy and paste ( most things)
I checked all the add ons restet the explorer , rebooted , updated java and flash
my wife says she is having trouble dragging cards playing on the POGO website to
so something isn't right
anyone got any Idea's ???

after a 2nd look at the pic of your amp I noticed the bass boost does not have a variable frequency
I bet it is a boost pre set in the 40-45hz area .... if this is turned up to high your sub will crap out on the higher
frequencies before you ever get a chance to get enough power down lower
I would turn it right down to start

I see your sub sonic filter is on a factory setting of 25hz.....
with the slope your probably loosing all the punch below 30hz
turn it off...that pretty much filters out all the low slows
I would lower the LPF a bit...get all the voices and upper
bass out of the way and concentrate the power on the lower stuff
I would also lay the box on it's side and rear fire it
see how that does

I did some Deer and Moose hunting with dad when I was younger and got a deer on my
own back in 1989 , have not shot a gun since

LOL.....
I got the TV out of my dads storage room , it's a heavy little thing

the only caution I would give is stay away from anything with acetone in it
(some rubber cements) it will turn a foam surround into mush...a very trajic ending....LOL

even if you had limited power you should still have some low end
I would definitely start with the box , sounds like it is tuned to high

personally I would use the White Surround Dampener , it dries clear and stretches
with the surround
silicone will work but it looks like ass , to stiff and it shrinks when it starts to dry out after time

Prosound White Surround Dampener works really well fixing those

I have an old school H & H Scott tube amp that my dad bought back in the 70's
it is very warm sounding , fantastic sound quality for an integrated amp/preamp
I even have the original H & H Scott 197B loud speakers that came with it
,had the woofers rebuilt a couple years ago

well the enclosure sounds spot on but the Soundstream REF 1.500 amp
is almost useless at 3 ohm so I did some hunting around this morning
traded my two REF 1.500 amps for a Crown BPX 2200.1
works perfectly but has some cosmetic damage , happy though
I got enough power to launch that 10" thru the roof so it"s all good
just waiting for the rain to break and I'll take a couple pics

it"s a JBL W10gti
enclosure is 1.75cf3 plus displacements tuned at 26hz

the HX2's are OK .... but they are painfull when you are use to having good detail on the bottom end
they are a bit peaky to me ( I lied...ALOT peaky ) and they unload to easily down in the sub sonics for my taste
it did well for the year and for the $100 I paid for it
