  1. The loudest I'll go is 65. I used the EQ pre-setting that's for more tremble than bass from the speakers.
  2. I just had the 5030 installed in my girlfriends car and I need advice from someone that has experience with this deck on the settings. I have 6 1/2s in the front and back running off the deck and a 750 watt Kicker amp powering a sealed Icon 15.
  3. They are the Kicker DS 6.5's. They are being powered off the deck. Please describe sounding back. There are points on some songs where they'll like make a quick statick noise when bass hits on certain songs.
  4. She has Kicker 6 1/2's in the front and rear running off the deck and they sound pretty good IMO. What should the crossover settings be for those?
  5. I have an Alpine CDA-9886. The way have mine set is I have the sub out on 15 and the gain on my amp set at a moderate level. I notice a when play it at 20 it'll be hitting good, but when I turn it up past 20, that bass stays at the same level and doesn't get louder. My friend said it's my deck and he has had simular problems with Alpine's and has me interested in a nice Pioneer deck if my deck is the problem. I'd like a 2nd opinion from you guys.
  6. I've always been a fan of sealed boxes. I know alot of you are anti-sealed and also feel that sealed setups can't get loud, but I beg to differ. Which of these could get louder sealed? 2 IA Lethal Injections 12s 1 IA Death Row 15 1 SSA Xcon 15 2 SSA Icon 12s 2 DC Level 3 12s
  7. If the bass boost is off though, won't I have to turn up the gain to make up for the loss?
  8. Which one of these would be louder in 1.75 cubes each tuned to 33hz powered by a RF power series 500 watt amp?
  9. Where is the fuse? On the back of the deck?
  10. My deck's sub setting is on 1. As for the bass boost and eq, do you mean on the deck or amp?
  11. I'm pretty sure they can get louder than I'm playing them though. It's a pair of SSA Dcon 12s powered by a RF Power series 500 watt amp.
  12. I'm looking for a deck that has the same style built in crossover as my CDA-9886 for my girlfriend's car. She likes the built in crossover feature of my deck, but wants something different. Any recommendations?
  13. I run my in car speakers off the deck and IMO and most other peoples it sounds good. I use the 80hz crossover on the deck to filter out the low frequencies from the in car speakers.
  14. Does it have a built in electronic crossover like the Alpine CDA-9886 ?
  15. I'm looking to get a good sounding component set for my front doors. The car I have is a 2006 Corolla Type S. I'm going to get a 150 - 200 watt amp to power whichever I get. These are the ones that fit and caught my eye. Alpine SPX-13REF Boston Acoustics Pro50 SE Infinity Kappa 50.9cs JL Audio ZR525-CSi Pioneer Premier TS-C520PRS
  16. My girlfriend has a 2010 Elantra and wants a single 12 and has a Kicker ZX750.1 to power whichever we choose. The ones listed as the one's we're deciding between. Price isn't an issue between them, so please don't take that into consideration when choosing one of the options. She usually prefers the sound of sealed, but I know a ported 12 could also sound tight and hit hard.
  17. My girlfriend has a 2010 Elantra and wants a basic system that'll sound good and have decent output. She really likes the look of DC subs and I already know DC makes good quality stuff. I'd like to get her a single Level 3 12 in a nice box made my Pound that Sound or Fisher Customs. The amp that caught y eye to power the Level 3 12 is a Kicker ZX750.1. Is that a good quality amp?
  18. My gf just bought a car and I'm helping her set up a system in it. I have an enclosure for a 15 that is 3.5 cubes tuned to 34hz. Would that be ok for a Level 2 15 being powered by about 500 - 600 watts?
  19. My girlfriend just got a 2010 Elantra and I'm going to setup a 600 - 700 watt system for her with 2 DC Level 2 10s ported. I'm going to either get her the Batcap 800 or Kinetic KHC800.

    Who makes better batteries?

Is there something wrong with it? $50 is Hella cheap.
  21. This topic is just out of curiousity. Which of these would be louder? They should take up almost the same amount of space as eachother. The 4 dcon 10s would be in 1.25 cu.ft each tuned to 33hz and the xcon 15 would be in 4.5 cubes tuned to 33hz. I'm just thinking about setups I'd like to get in the future when I get a Rav4 or a Highlander.
  22. All of these would be powered off a Sundown SAZ-2000d in 4.5 cubes tuned to 33hz. Was just curious about this because I'd like to eventually get an SUV and would like to do one of these setups. I know this is a matter of opinion, but I'd like to see how many opinions lead more towards what out of curiousity. RE Audio MX 15 DC Level 4XL 15 SSA Xcon 15

Which one of these would be louder?

I understand. I was comparing them because each of their sites states that their RMS is 1500 watts. The Icon can get plenty loud, so I figured the Xcon would be comparable to those. I didn't think the MX or Level 4XL were SPL geared, I always thought the MT was RE's spl sub and the Level 5 was DC's, I could be wrong though.

Which one of these would be louder?

Well first of all the SSA Xcon doesnt even belong on that list, not saying it wont get loud just designed for a different crowd. But since you want loud go with either the Re or DC but its a toss up man, just purchase one and test and then do the same for all three. That way you will know which is the loudest in your car, in your istall (since installs, equipment and cars are different); what may be louder in someones car may not be louder in your car. Maybe I'd test all 3 if I had a Money tree lol j/p
  25. Dude, cheaper price doesn't mean cheaper quality. The dcons sound amazing. I actually like my 2 dcon 12s with 500 watts alot more than the icon 15 I had with 1000 watts. Many people think I have about 1200 - 1500 watts , no lie.
