I can't use the car slotted L shaped subwoofer box can I? Do I have to use the round port? Also do I need to put anything in the box? Anyway I can shield the woofer?

What about the watts difference? I know that a car amp can easily push a havoc but do we need say around 1000 watts for home theatre amp to push the havoc? Can I shield the car subwoofer? If so how? Sorry for the noob question but first timer in a home theatre build. I actually want to get a 12" havoc to replace my 10 JL W7 and use the W7 as a home sub. Any help would be appreciated.

Can I use the Havoc 12" woofer in the home? If so what's the difference between a car subwoofer box and a home woofer box? This would be my first home woofer build. What do they mean by shielded/ not shielded?

How was the sq compared to the xbl^2 re xxx? I'm actually debating on whether I should I get this sub or the new mag. the new mag was tested at 134 db in a sealed box. If I do get this sub, I'm thinking of putting it in a sealed box and giving it either 900 watts or 1100 watts. I currently have a jl 10w7 in a ported box but I want to replace it.

Does any1 have a 12" Q in a sealed around 1 cubic feet? I want to know if the q will get loud in a sealed. Im thinking of replacing my 2 JL 10W7 with 1 12" Q or maybe I should just power 1 JL 10w7. The 2 w7s take up my whole trunk and i just want to get some of my trunk back. I have enough to put a Q in a sealed enclosure but have around 1.5-1.7 cubic feet for ported. My amp does around 800-900 watts at 4 ohms or 1600watts at 1 ohms so dual 2 ohms it is. Should I just keep 1 of my jl 10w7 and port it? Will that sound close to a 12 Q sealed?
