    Battery?

I thought i was going to have to buy a hifonics bxi1606, but i lucked out and found some jacob from sundown was selling. If i were you, i'd save up until i could buy the sundown, and pass on hifonics Edit: There's actually two left from the same sale i bought mine.. they were used by team sundown audio; when i got mine i could barely tell it was used. Click here to see the topic. $360.. not bad at all.

    Battery?

Try the Big 3 and then decide if you need another battery.. what amp are you using? i have 2/3 big 3 done with an saz-1500d and i have little to no dimming (with lights and A/C on, and stereo at pretty loud levels) on a stock battery and alternator (117 amps)

4.5kW available. What subs(s) to go for...?

Why is it 4-500 more only if you get the btl? Well i'm guessing you don't want to spend that, if you want to get real low, you could get get 4 Qs..or 3 (maybe 4?) BLs if you want to get loud. (Pretty sure you wont have a problem getting loud with either setup though lol)

    NightTime

ah i wish i had an Avy just for that. A freind of mine did the same thing (without the awesome subs, the sweet box with fiberglass, and the amazing amp, lol) in his avy. Yours looks awesome. Just a side question, but 2 1500s can be ran off of a 140 amp alternator?

    Marine terminal quick question

I'm in the process (literally, just came upstairs to ask this question haha), and i was fitting my marine terminals to my battery. I'm not sure if its a problem, but they don't go down all the way, and even if they could, the bolt wouldn't be able to go through because the holes for it would be so curved. When i bolted it down, it wasn't going anywhere, i'm not worried about that. I'm just not sure if it has to be at the very bottom for the least resistance and best flow So can i leave as is? or should i get new terminals (though i didn't see any bigger than what i have now).

    Marine terminal quick question

I got it... i ended up having to put needle nose pliers in the hole and spread them out to make it wider.. they fit perfect now.

    Marine terminal quick question

i actually took the bolt all the way out, and 'tapped' it with a hammer lol. I bolted it where it's at, and hit it on the underside with a hammer to make sure it wasn't going anywhere. I also realized i don't have lead marine terminals, and i'm guessing those would be more flexible, so i may replace them tommorow. Until then, these will have to work or else i'm not going anywhere with my truck haha.

10 gauge Klear Kable help, please

Oh wow lol. no wonder it wouldn't fit.. i was trying to put two runs of 10 ga into a terminal.. lol thanks a lot, its 2 a.m over here and i'm trying to get this stuff installed before i go to practice tommorow lol.

10 gauge Klear Kable help, please

First, i feel like an idiot for having to ask this. But my 10 gauge klear kable from knukonceptz is confusing me a little bit. It's not one wire, but two runs that are kinda stuck together. I dont know if i'm describing it well, but i'm hoping everyone else but me knows what i'm talking about lol. One strand is a square like shape, and the strand connected to it is circular in shape. I thought maybe i was supposed to strip off both, so i did that and then twisted them together to fit in the terminal (fi bl), but no cigar. Can someone please help me? Thanks, i really do feel dumb for this lol, Mitch

    securing box on seat?

I've searched, and all the topics i've found are for trunks, which you can bolt, or use velcro. My box will be taking up 2 of the 3 rear seats, and i can't bolt it, and i also don't think i can velcro without ruining the seats. I was thinking L brackets, but i need something more flexible than that to make it to the rear panel of the truck cab. Suggestions?

    securing box on seat?

I would suggest this too. It might not be the most visually appealing method, but strapping should keep it in place. Yeah i think i like this idea, and if i strap it from the back or bottom (which are the only two that would help) no one would be able to see the straps anyways. Yeah, by putting personal safety ahead of having loud bass. Simple choice if you ask me. I made this topic for that reason... I'm not putting bass in front of mine or anyone else's life. I have two or three days before the final steps of putting it in, and i wanted to have a solid idea by tonight or tommorow so i could go into town and buy the supplies for it. I doubt i'm the first person to not bolt a box... Plus, if i didn't secure it, i'd hit my brakes hard one time and my sub goes into the front passenger seat and says bye bye

    securing box on seat?

I'd love to. I suggested it to the parents, and for some reason having 1 seat in the back makes a huge difference to them. They don't like the idea, not at all haha. Edit: ///M5, i understand that bolting is the surest and safest way to do it, and i'm not trying to say otherwise, but i have to be reasonable (for now haha), and deal with what i can do.
  18. QuestionMan

    securing box on seat?

Well i can't bolt it into a cushioned seat, can i? that wouldn't be secure at all. This is a '99 ram 1500 quad cab. For some reason, the split rear bench seat doesn't come with the 1999s. Shame, eh?

    Bolts for mounting Bl

I finally ordered knukonceptz wiring today, and it should be here within a few days, and i'm planning on making one last trip to the hardware store. I was planning on screwing the sub in, but i really dont want to anymore because 1. not sure if it will be sufficient and 2. the image of silver bolts coming out the sides of the black sub seems badass So what size (diameter) bolts should i ask for? The hole is 3/16, but do they make a bolt that size? Thanks for reading, Mitch o btw, the sub is 18 bl, doubt it matters though.

    michigan dealers?

I always assumed for some reason that that page was for shops wanting to sell AA.
  24. QuestionMan

    michigan dealers?

X2, except in indiana. I'm not trying to cause trouble, but i always did wonder how i or anyone else was supposed to know how or where to buy AA. I've searched google many times for dealers, and went to AAs website and still couldn't find anything. The answer may be staring me in the face, but idk haha.
