how much money we talking for a basic processor sould i go 2 way or 3 way? i was thinking 2 way because i dont have much room in the doors and kicks. is there anything i sould do before i deside to go ahead with a new front stage like dampening.....(probly should start with an amp on the 5.25 and tweets) i really have a huge hole in the midbass is there any easy fix for that?

thats correct the assassin is dvc and i wired it in parallel so it was geting atleast double its power rating im guessing it is not recommend for sealed boxes because aa does not list a sealed box with the specs

whats the break in for aa arsenal 12 run a kenwood excelon kax x10d 600rms what is a proper breakin. didnt do it for my old kickers. this is only my second sub purchase..... i know u dont push it to hard. i assume u keep the gain down a bit for afew hours.

came across SSA today while shopping for some news subs. i have a kenwood excelon amp which pushes 600rms x1 at 2ohms and its 1ohm stable but with no power rating. i posted on crutchfield.com and by chance someone mensioned the ssa icon 12" that he heard. i dont think i have the power for that sub.... i listen to metal and atternative rock. so i goin for a sq or LSQ kind of set up. buget is $250 max. i build my own box and understand box construction. my old subs where 3 12" kicker comps (my first system so dont bash me about them. lol) just looking for something that will keep me satified for the next couple year while im at college. so this is basicly my only upgrade ill do to my system for the next 4 or more years. i was led to believe that the only good stuff was the name brand (kicker alpine etc) so thats what i bought and i hate name brands. i was look at a few option that seem fessible with my amp but im open to all ideas. how are asendent subs i was looking at the arsenal AA 12 D4 for $175 which would leave me some money for a nice box. ive heard cerwin vega's vmax subs are good for the money any input would be greatly apprisiated. thanks current system: sony cdx-gt310 polk db 525 and db1000 (front) polk db 690 (rear) kenwood excelon KAC-X10D Tsunami 1.2 Farad Kicker 4 gauge kit dynamat extreme in trunk

getin a 12" AA arsenal. i wouldnt want to run my amp at 1ohm with out a power rating. im gona start to save up for a new front stage. hopefull get that in before college or im not goin to have another chance.... maybe i can get a mid range driver and match it with my polk tweets and amp for a decent price. ill wait till i get the sub in and deside where to go from there. im really lacking in the mid bass-mid range. maybe some good sound deadening on the door would help. ohwell i have no money to spare on this right now...

using my kenwood excelon x10d - 600rms at 2ohms (1ohm stable but no power rating). which would be the better sub. i listen to metal, rock, alternative rock. basicly nice accurate bass with some decent kick is the goal. i have polk db 5.25 and 1000(1in tweets) up front and 6x9s in the rear. all off the the sony hu (cdx gt310) the aa would be alittle overpowered and the fi could be run at 1ohm or 2ohm depending on vc options budget it under $200 if anyone has another option that sould be considered.

best sq? best LSQ? best setup? 1 12" aa arsenal d4 vs 2 10" cv vmax runing off a kenwood excelon kac-x10d 600rms at 2ohms i listen to rock, metal, alternative rock, etc accuracy is my main objective here. ported or sealed? thinking sealed is better for tighter bass budget is about $180 for subs any other recommendation in this price range
