ok i will add to my coments from last year. i now have a btl 15 full loaded. i still think that my q15 no options is loud. but my btl has more pressure at the same perceived sound to ear. the btl hurts my ear more at the same persieved sound to ear. the btl will defenetly be better on the meter without a doubt. the btl does sound great and all my friends think it is the best sub they have ever heard. but i still prefer my q 15 to listen to and my btl to show off or soon to be compete. when i got my 15q i couldnt figure out how it wouldnt be considered a compitition sub and now that i have my btl i see they are not even in the same class. and to put things in perspective my q15 no options has been bangin on a saz1500d for two years and still going. my btl 15 fully loaded has been bangin since" black fi-day " on 2 x saz 1500d and still going . i did not get the btl because the q wasnt loud enough, i got it because my kids wanted to try to compete this summer for fun. and yes the btl is extreme and tearing my truck apart. and even though i haven't owned a bl 15 yet i can see where it would be the best recommendation for most pepole if they had to choose just one. also take into acount that i am probibaly an old fart in comparison to most reading this.

for real 1 x 15btl in a good box will be loud enough to do dmg to your car if you want it to. i bet 1 12 btl would be loud enough but if you got the room why not go with the 15 btl . either way one should be enough. what electrical upgrades are you doing ? and what amp are you planning on using .

oh ok i was just thinking of going with just the 15" to save money thanks! 1 15"btl with good power is going to be loud.

is it for a FI sub ? or something else ?

the flame logo realy looks better in person than in that pic. also i dropped the BTL in my box for the Q . it made alot more pressure than the Q. you could feel the difference in pressure . also my truck was flapping.....alot......!! i didn't clamp it yet, so i don't even know how far it got pushed. i will this weekend . now its time to come up with a design for my BTL box. time for more port area . and a higher tune .

how far is the cone moving? did you check the glue joints while it was out of the box ? where is subsonic filter set?

sounds like the i pod was running to head unit. run the rca's from the i-pod to the amp direct.

i got it figured out now. does it need to be smaller next time or is that fine?

i got my black fi-day sale recones and stuff in. the flame logos on the dust cap look cool. i have glue drying right now . fi really gave me a great deal on the stuff i ordered. but there was some extra related stuff in the box also, was that on purpose ? if so then wow, i thank you verrrrrry much. if not let me know i will send it back . the packaging was incredible by the way .

where do you live ? you might be able to get a demo from a local fi q user. i live in ct. if your near by i'll give ya a demo. i think the fi q might supprise you at how loud and clean it can play .

why not try the fi q12 instead of the bl12. they love sealed enclosures. and even though they are sq subs they realy pound hard.

no problem. i'm not freaking out, i can wait if need be. i just don't get much free time to work on projects like this with my kids . i dont realy need to be done untill spring kids want to compete this year. i know it takes time to build the recone and with holiday shipping going on now, i'm not even sure if i just order it automated if i will get it on time. <for work shutdown> i was also looking for a couple gaskets and can't figure out how to put those on the order. i know fi will get ahold of me when they can..
