thats awesome bro, From what you say the sub obviously boogie but what is the SQ like for a non SQ driver? How did the two 6" aero's work for you at the end any noise coming from them?

Does aero style ports still fall in the recommended 12-16 CBF range? Was thinking of a single 10" in a 6cbf loud daily tuned around 32-33 range or maybe 2x7" what do you guys think?

Yes brp and thanks for the PM, I know the formula but the problem is how much is enough. Goal is loud daily aka loud but still sound good. Im starting to build the box this weekend Was thinking one port will be ideal and two would be fine for keeping it uniform, but I will try and avoid doing a whole bunch of smaller ports in order to keep it simple. Also by putting a bend in aero port will it affect the tuning bunch or is it too small to bother about?

Hey Duran, Yeah sorry maybe i didnt word it right. Driver is a 18 N2 port is a 10" or maybe two 7" or whatever you recon is best. Not sure if I will be able to get these sizes either but I figured best to get the port area range right first Ive build many slot ports but only one or two low power earo style port boxes based on factory cut sheets so cant really make a educated decision. I've heard/read people say they need less but they never mention how much less.

-How many spiders are there in the N2? -Can we have super Gauss in the N2 or is it not required/superseded no longer relevant? What are the benefits and is it worth it? -AA SMD is designed by FI right...price and power handling aside which is a better driver for loud daily? Unfortunately I live on the other side of the world and have no way to listen to either of these. Thanks

id start right with upgrading the shocks and coils first.

the answer to your question is application dependent. It is really that simple but make sure you get the placement and spacing right. Also make sure you have a tight seal around the port and it should not be able to bounce around. Port area required will be slightly less then a slot port but again its application dependent. Flares one both ends work better but it is not always done and results are mostly positive. might gain a DB or so as well as reduce port noise if this is done. Especially true with smaller radius's. It can be easier to to a slot port on really long ports unless you do external ports. hope this help some what

I dont like high tuning. Some do..maybe build it long and then cut it down till u find the sweet spot. If u are not sure aim for 32-35

I like the second one better to be honest, assuming your sub have enough clearance and the specs are correct and not taking the size into account. guess what im trying to say the design looks better not taking the numbers into account.

in that case it should be ok, however Id still rather turn it sideways or move it right to the end. Then again you might find that its the most awesome box ever the way it is.

depends on how long it is. Im no pro but I think if its close to the back of the box you might actually create a effect where the box might act like a smaller box. Well that and if you have to put a bend into it... If you dont have to bend the port turning it sideways might yield better results.

hard to tell to me honest but it sounds like it might just work. mind sharing why the port it where it is? Nothing wrong with tuning any higher either but you will lose some bottom end.
