not sure about the amps but the rest of your gear will make for a pretty decent sounding setup if done propperly.

    breaking in subs

That is stupid. No it doesn't. The only thing you need to do is make sure your install is okay. Other than that you CANNOT hurt your sub by playing it full bore right away. It will break in faster the louder you play it. The "need" to break it in is a crappy internet wives tale. Please stop propagating nonsense. OUCH! way to make me feel like a jakcalope al i can say is hahahaha

    breaking in subs

Let it wack out of the box. just keep things down a few seconds to make sure every thing is hooked up fine then let it rip

trunk sub and port fire direction

I understand that each car loads differently, but box design plays a big role and prefab does not count.

    Punkey's Build Log

Ok Guys, Its been going on for a while, but I though it was time to put up some pictures. Just to let you guys know I dont have my own garage and most things have been imported. The problem is good gear are either redicilously exspensive or not availeble at all. First Ill start with my old setup then move on to the work in progress. Here she is in my garage. Below was how it was before. (no comments lol) It is far from perfect hence the change. It played fairly clean, and loud ..mind you it was a bit peaky though. Dont mind the words in the window. The pic was taken of our local forum after one of the meetups More pics coming soon...

    Punkey's Build Log

Ok changed the the stock bat out for an Varta AGM ultra saw an idle voltage increase of .1-.2 volts. Dealership only had one so I will be picking up the second one later today. Managed to do some cabling and installed one sub before it started raining. Those BL 12's are heavy buggers(certainly a two man job to install it when the sub is facing to the rear). More pics to follow soon !!! The end is near !!!

lol@20kg's.... it's not an orion 500 000 gigawatt spl sub . unless the spider is made of cast iron.>>> just for comparison's sake , a same sized ae sub is 8.6 kilograms and they are vey similar in construction. air-shocks???? why not full hydraulics? well obviously you are a smart ass so why ask questions in the fist place? i asked a simple question on weight ,not air shocks ..... why does have to be like having a tooth pulled? and i suppose ur air-shock suggestion was not being a smart-ass???...pfffff i'll just use THE damn phone.... Maybe you should change ur aviater while you are at it, someone might just notice your ugly mug on the road. Maybe you should go back to CA.com where you came from; Im sure the type there will be more suited to you. have fun

I guestimate about 20 kg's per piece. Maybe can use this as an exscuse to get some air-shocks

    18 SSD vs 15 L7

Ill tune at around 35 if you want to be loud and still be able to listen to music. The kicker will most likely sound louder to the ear but I think the SSA will probalbly soud better and give you that BASS feeling. Besides 18's look cooler

    what's your opinion?

Asking this kind of questions; I would think two Bl;s would be better suited to your needs
