IIRC the Moto G has Gorllia glass 3, which is stronger but more brittle than gorilla glass 2.
Sorry mang, that sucksHad my phone 2 days..drop it and cracked the screen this morning. 2 days.
What. The. Fuck.
So pissed off. And moto wants more to fix the phone than the damn phone costs. Guess I'll just buy a new phone.
Who is your carrier again?
I have the E not the G, but carrier is AT&T.
The whole screen still works, including where it's smashed. Just looks like shit and some sharp edges.

No. It's a $129 Moto E. I figured they were cheap enough that if they broke I would just buy a new one and it'd be cheaper than paying for insurance on 3 phones. I just didn't expect it to be 2 days after I got the fucking thing. I atleast wanted to get my monies worth out of the 1st one.
All of the phones I've had throughout my life and I've not broke a single one. Get my first smart phone and I can't make it 3 days. Pisses me off.Had my phone 2 days..drop it and cracked the screen this morning. 2 days.

My wife did the same thing. We bought hers Saturday, she dropped it Monday getting out of the car at work, broke the fuck out of it.
Not to be a dick, but did you buy quality cases for them? They can save a smart phone from the ground and shit thereof.
J
Was planning to, just hadn't gotten to it yet. Guess that was a $129+tax mistake

Not trying to be an ass, but it was announced before slam that they would be running a skeleton crew for a bit.
Doesn't matter, there is still absolutely no excuse for this. Even if it was announced, the message they are sending to their dealers is that they don't care about them. Furthermore, it was mishanlded after the fact of actually making contact. Whomever answered the phone should have called Jacob or the person who makes the Nightshades and informed them that they need one assembled ASAP and overnighted. That is the only way to make this right, given the OP's comments are the full truth.
So, basically, the ONLY way that Sundown can have good CS is to make sure that nothing ever goes wrong. Furthermore, they have to be at work, at all times, to make sure they can answer the phones, emails, and such, 24/7. They also have to make sure that things are fixed immediately, including warranty claims.
To me, it sounds like Brandon was trying, by him telling you that they had to file that claim with FedEx, and the NS guy is out for a week as well. Even had he been there, the claim still has to go through. For you to just basically be like "Well, that's not good enough, so you know what, eff you and your company", it's no wonder he said what he did. There's only so much they can do, they are human after all.
If that is what you got out of Ryan's post, then you need to learn reading comprehension and logic skills.

This is what makes me laugh when people bring up how great it is to buy from companies like a Sundown instead of larger manufacturers...because of the great CS. Call JBL, RF, Kicker, Alpine, etc and I guaranty they don't shut down the entire company because the owner is on vacation and everyone else wanted to go attend a show. There are always employees there to provide customer service. Entire assembly lines also don't stop functioning because one or two people are out of the office for a week. They don't get so overwhelmed that they never respond to email or phone calls.

I came really close to buying an Oppo while overseas. No name to us is not no name to the world. That being said, that phone is a no name. Probably a Chinese company that sells as many units as Apple though, rofl.
The no-name brand thing scares me.
http://www.pandawill.com/h920-turbo-smartphone-mtk6589t-15ghz-50-inch-1080p-fhd-screen-android-42-black-p75740.htmlJust ordered 3 of those Moto E's you posted Sean. Should be here this week. They are newer phones but all of the reviews were very positive. Obviously for a $130 smartphone the screen isn't HD, the processor is comparatively slower and the camera sucks. But has a microSD card slot for up to 32gb addt'l to storage, the OS is unmolested and full featured and for what the 3 of us will be using them for the screen, camera and processor aren't huge deals. My wife and I both have tablets to use at the house anyways. And according to their website ATT is waiving activation fees on bring you own phones this month, so that should save me another $120 on activation fees.
Oppo I've heard of...Lexicon takes one of their $500 bluray players, sticks it in their own casing and adds $3k to the price.

I rocked out flat bench today. Most weight I've ever done. 1x10 @ 85lbs dumb bells, then 1x10, 1x8 & 1x7 @ 90lbs DB, gave myself a few seconds rest on the last set and got 5 more reps @85lbs again. Probably weak sauce to you guys, but at 180lbs myself that's more than my body weight and I've only been lifting since Feb.Flat bench was just that today, but incline and decline kicked Ass. I will take it for today.
And to put that into perspective...I have my book from my senior year weights class in high school, which I was in the entire school year. My max DB bench was 1x10 @ 65lbs + 1x10 @ 70lbs. So in 4 months lifting at 32years old I'm significantly stronger than I was at 17/18 years old after close to a year of lifting.

Amazon has a sale going on right now for Sandisk memory, usb, flash, ssd
Thanks man, perfect timing as I needed 3 32gb microsd cards for the phones I just ordered. I think their 60% off is a little optimistic, believe the cards I bought were $20 yesterday but on sale for $15 today. Not complaining though, that's still $15 saved and free shipping...saving money is saving money

Yeah...but it's either that or just not have a data plan. With needing 4 phones I really don't want to spend much more than $100 per phone or the cost of entry is just not something I'm willing to expend.Remember that you will not get LTE like you would with something like a Moto X
I assume two are for kids/teens? If you don't have wifi at home 2 gigs per phone won't be enough. My sister averages 3 gigs on Facebook alone. And don't plan on streaming music like pandora on 2 gigs. My phone is grandfathered in for unlimited data and I average 50-60 gigs. This is maybe an hr a day web, 3 hrs a day streaming music, and one movie every 3 days or so.
We have wifi, so that'll be 75% of the usage. I won't use shit nor will my wife, and my son is only 10 so I don't think he'll use much either. So really most of the 10gb plan will be available for my 15yr old daughter to use

That's actually reasonably priced.Cheapest no contract New phone is the E.http://www.motorola.com/us/consumers/shop-all-mobile-phones/Moto-E/moto-e.html
So I could buy 4 of those, take them in to ATT and sign up for their service?

When? Because that is definitely not their current plan offerings.

See my post above, read it in detail. Everything is there. The plan is only $160 a month if you pay full retail price for the phones, which are ALL $400 or more. If I want to only pay $100 per phone, then I have to pay $260 per month for my bill. If I don't want to pay full retail price per phone up front, then I have to pay $30 per month per phone in addition to my bill. I've been through this with every carrier. Either pay full retail for the phone or pay close to $300 for the plan including taxes/surcharges.
HTC One M8 is retail $640. So to get the plan for $160 I either have to pay $640 for that phone or pay $32 per month for the phone. For 4 lines that's an extra $128 per month.
AT&T? 4 lines for $160, great phones for under $100. Gonna snag and HTC One M8 this weekend.
Yeah, and it's a bunch of bullshit.
I just saw a commercial the other day for 4 lines with phones for $160/month or $120/month.I can't find a plan with data for 4 lines that won't cost $300 per month (including the cost of basically financing the phones) or require you to pay $2500 up front for the phones.
It's ridiculous. I can't believe people are actually signing up for these plans. Almost $4k a year for fucking cell phones. Fuck that and fuck the cell carriers.
The only way to get the plan for $160 per month is to pay full retail for the phone (ie $600 for a Samsung or $650 for an iPhone...each), bring your own smartphone (which I don't have) or "finance" the phone over 2yrs at $30 per month per phone (which is an extra $120 per month for 4 phones).
They'll sell you the phone for cheaper (ie $100 for an IPhone), but then your monthly bill is $260 instead of $160 (plus all of their bullshit fees and taxes in either instance).
So I could pay $2560 up front and get four HTC one's and a monthly bill of $160 ($100 for 10gb shared data + $15 per lone access charge), pay a monthly bill of $268 (not $160) plus taxes/fees and nothing up front, or pay a monthly bill of $260 ($100 for 10gb shared data + 4 line access charge@ $40 per line) plus taxes/fees and $400 up front for 4 HTC One M8's.
Like I said, those ads are bullshit lies unless you already own a smartphone, which I don't. Hell, I have never in my life paid for a phone. I always just went with whatever they were giving away free.
Get a 2 year contract, 4 phones for $99 a pop, and $160 a month. Been with AT&T forever, and they have been great to me. Our plan comes to $183 a month, with all plan costs, fees, and taxes. Not sure how you come up with $400 a month.
It appears late last year and/or early this year they all went through and jacked their rates and fucked up their plans to make it confusing as hell.
Basically, you can't get all of those great deals they advertise at the same time. You can only get the $160 plan if you pay full retail price (not the advertised $100 but full boat retail or $650 for an iPhone, etc), or pay $100 for the phone and have an outrageous monthly phone bill.

Check out swappa, who is your current provider?
New or used?Is there a reliable site for purchasing smartphones at less than full retail that the carries charge?
i've sold and bought on www.swappa.com and have had GREAT success with it. They have pretty stringent standards what can be sold on the site. Its basically like ebay, but the ESN's are checked to make sure they're valid, etc.
I don't care at this point. Just a fucking phone that works.
Sprint.
Good phone.
