    What size mounting screws??

Hey guys, sorry if this subject has been brought up in the past. Search engine is not working well for me. I am getting a 15" IB being built for me and want to mount it properly. I am going the T-nut route but do not know what size screws to get? 1/4in enough for 3/8? I dont even know what size the holes are in the sub frame. thanks for your help! Ralph

Thanks man, I would like to look at that post to get some ideas. Going to be ordering the goods very soon.

What Impedance should I run a IB315 at?

Guys I would like to mention that my seats fold flat. So I cant seal them and wont half ass it, leaving my new car alone. I will though seal alll paramters of the IB to the reat seat frame. Does this sound fine?? I would like to order the sub tomorrow but want to make sure a IB setup is doable in my car without butchering it.

May I ask what size holes you have to cut in the rear deck?? I am going to take some measurements for the hell of it

What Impedance should I run a IB315 at?

Sorry, no, not with one sub. 2 ohms is 2 ohms. Now if it were a dual 2 ohm the coils on the sub could be wired in parallel for a final 1 ohm load, or if you had two 2 ohm subs. Thank you. Will the ib15 be happy with 400 watts??

excuse my lack of knowledge in this area but can I get a 2ohm sub to 1 ohm load?? I can physically fit a 15 in my car. the driver will point towards the back seats.
  8. Hey guys, So I have a Zed Audio Minilith mono amp thats rated at Continuous Output Power into 1 ohm 600wx1Continuous Output Power into 2 ohm 400wx1Continuous Output Power into 4 ohm 200wx1I am would like to build a IB setup in my cruze and buy the IB315 . Should I buy the 2 ohm sub and run 2 ohms at the amp?? I dont want to run 1 ohm due to heat and I only have a 140amp alt in my car with the big 3 done. OR would the IB312 sound better due to smaller sub?? I am worried about not having enough power. thanks for your input! Ralph

So guys we all agree on the Gcon line for IB setup??? 15" with 600 watts going to it, 4 ohm.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. If I am going to mount it right behind the seats I would perfer a single sub setup (15in) . right in the middle , behind the seats. I have a 600 watt zed audio amp I have the option of using as well. I believe I understand wehat you mean when it comes to reinforcing. I suppose 1.5 inch thick plywood with some additional bracing would be suffice to hold this sub?? Which model SSA SUB should I be looking at for this job? 600 watts, nothing exotic. I will close the 6x9 holes in rear deck with non-cut baffles and use something like dynamatt on the entire rear deck, trunk floor and inner fenders. Anything else??

Hey guys, I am looking for ideas/knowledge on setting a IB setup in my cruze. I have not purchased any subs yet. I do not want a box, do not want to break windows. Just want a nice solid punch. I am thinking going to a IB setup so I still have my trunk but not sure where to go for this. Against the seat's or maybe rear deck? Any idea's? Any of you guys have worked on a cruze? I have a zed audio 600 watt mono I would like to use to save money on this build. The rear deck had to empty holes in it (6x9) Not sure if I have room to enlarge the holes to put 8's. Need to measure. thanks!
