which series of fi subs are closest to the icons i seen a post on here some where and now i cant find it. someone was comparing the icons response with the bl's. i wana know if the icons are like the q's or bl's.

i would just leave it there at -10 it's like a sub woofer level control if it sounds good there. amp should be set so it not clipping if it gain controlled any ways. your sending the sub into clipping the higher you turn it you more then likely got the amp set on a number like 5 volts for the hu output. and that as high as it will go on that type of setting. if it was set on -10 when you set everything on ur amp then its fine. but if you put it on -10 after u set ur amps settings it could cause it to start clipping. when you set ur gain and all that your suppose to have the settings on ur radio how you want them. make sure you dont change them after you set everything on ur amp.

set it on 0 then set your amps settings again.

id get the xcons. theyll be fine with the 2000d theyre jus gona be underpowered. that leaves u room to upgrade eventually 2. well xcons and memphis are in the same price range. plus xcons rated rms is much more than the memphis. its more bang for the buck. so if my 2000d will be underpowering the xcons but still sound great. and it wont harm the subs in any way, ill go for it. i guess the xcons will just be laughing all the time! underpowering a sub doesnt hurt it at all. its still gona sound goooood if you get the xcons. and later on if you want u can get another 2000d and itll be really nasty

you can buy really cheap battery terminals at autozone where you can put all the wires on. ur gona end up with 4 zero gauge wires so theyre perfect. thats wat i used and it works really good. oh and when you get the amp kit get the 300a fuse.

use 0 guage for both. id use the first link for the amp kit and for the 0 guage use the kolossus flex. 7 or 8 feet of 0 guage should be plenty for the big 3. its 3.49 for a foot.

lol no its pretty cheap and its really easy after you know wat ur doin. on my car one of the ground wires were under the radiator hoses so i jus made a new ground. if you make a new ground make sure u clean the paint off so you get a good connection. use 0 guage wire. you can go to knuconceptz.com and get some.

No idea what the "big three" is.I was talked down to a BL for my type of tunes. The BL's are not nearly as power hungry (I hope they hit as hard though) so I may not need another alternator. But I would assume I need a second battery... i have a 15 bl and a saz 1500d. it hits pretty hard but its not gona be like the btl. im happy with it though. there is 3 wires that run from your battery cables that are pretty small stock. there is 1 that goes from the positive battery cable to your alternator. there is 2 wire on the negative cable. 1 goes from the cable to your motor and the other goes to the frame of your car. if you look at the cables and follow them to where they go then you will see wat i mean. for the big 3 you just get bigger wire and run them to the 3 places they go to already. this helps your volts A LOT. if you just replace your stock battery youll be fine after the big 3. read this again. it makes ur volts better.

i think hes just confused on what the big 3 is.

the 15 can still handle that power. its the same as the 18. they have the same motor but the sub is just bigger.

so are you getting the bl or the btl? u said you were talked down to a bl. if its the btl it can take a lot more than 2000w but thats fine. if its the bl i wouldnt recommend the 2000d. id go for the saz 1500d instead.

i think youll be more than happy with one btl the btls need big boxes and its probably gona be hard to fit 2 in ur trunk. if i were you id start with one btl and get the aq2200d. if you eventually want more, upgrade your amp. youll be suprised of how loud 1 will get.

also when it says the amp can do 4400 watts at 2 ohms that just means the amps strapped together. each amp is 1 ohm stable which means they put out 2200 watts at 1 ohm. when you put two of the amps together it makes it 4400 watts together.

the aq2200d puts out 2200 watts at 1 ohm. if your going to buy 2 btl's then put 1 amp to each sub. get the dual 2 ohm sub. that way you can wire the each sub to 1 ohm to match the amps. you will be getting 2200 watts to each sub. on the12volt.com you can go to subwoofer wiring and that will show you what i mean. choose 1 sub and the impedance as dual 2 ohm sub. that will show you how to wire each sub to 1 ohm. if i were you i would start off with 1 btl and 1 good amp. the btls can handle A LOT of power. so i say go with a btl and a sundown audio saz 3500d.
