    Accurate sub

I would like to be pointed into the right direction for an accurate hitting sub. I want something around 300 dollars. And do you think the subs should stay around 500 rms so its not just some head beater bass. I am thinking about a 4th order ported box. I have a Boston Acoustic 10" in a .7 cubic ft sealed box. I am pushing 300 rms with an Alpine M500. Do you think I should just make a new box for better sound or just replace everything?
  4. Sound ordnance m-1500 to a kicker 10c12d4. Nothing special
  5. We did what the directions said we will redo and see
  6. Add I just tapped into the speaker wires on the back of the headunit
  7. We hooked them up right behind the headunit. My friend just called me saying the sub cut out and the front speakers started working again. whats going on?
  8. Alright guys, I was helping my friend install a system in his HHR that he just got, and he wanted to keep the stock headunit. I don't know if the problem is because of the factory headunit not excepting the line out converter or what. The problem is that once we installed the line out converter to the proper wires the front 6 1/2's stopped working. We tapped the rear speakers for the line out converter. I did not solder the wires I don't think that is the problem though. The thing that is weird to me is that the tweeters still worked, the rear speakers still worked, and the sub and amp worked. So do you guys know anything that we can do to fix this problem. I have looked and can't find people with this exact problem so it may be a user problem???? I need help!?

Shopping for new Sub many ?'s

I was think stay under 1 g. I have been looking at the Incriminator Flatyne 12 and the JL audio w6v3 12. Which one would yall go for out of those 2 chooses. Just put it in a ported box? In the trunk I will most likely have 3 cubic feet to work with. Also do I need wire over 8 gauge for that sub? I am almost asking what would yall do as veterans.
  10. Well, guys this is my first post and I am in the market for a new sub when my cars arrives. In September, I am getting my 2015 Mustang, and I would like to have some opinions. Since I don't know the exact space I will have I do know I will still need to fit golf clubs in the trunk. My goals are to have a very accurate and deep bass. So, I am thinking on the lines of a sealed box. Unless I can design and fabricate a ported box that will be accurate. I am willing to put the money down for a good amp and sub. Any recommendations on setup please tell me. I want to do it right the first time so I don't have to do it again.
