    Bl box question

I think ill keep it simple and stick with the drywall screws since thats what everyone is recommending lol. No need to build a box and destroy it rite away lol. I think i shall leave that task to the Fi.

    Bl box question

It would be 3/4 inch mdf board so a total thickness of 1 and 1/2 inches. Ive never dealt with a sub with that much weight and ive heard at some places that t-nuts and bolts have been used to secure it to the box. thanks for the help guys. Any suggestions for a good brand of screws to use? BTW if you would happen to know if the Bl comes with a gasket on it or where could i find one to prevent air leaks?

    Bl box question

I know that because of the weight of the bl15 i need a double baffle box. But what if any is the best way to secure it to the box? (via regular screws bolted in etc)?

    Two Questions one Sae-1200Dv2

Oh i did not notice that they were color coded from the pictures that i saw. so to clarify i would wire a d2 in parallel to get the one ohm load then run teh wires to the outer set? the pic im going based off of looks like - - + + and has a line (that says speaker in the middle) that touches on the outer negative and positive terminals. So would that be correct set of terminals? or the inner set or irrelevant?

Inkfx. I just read the sticky u were talking about. I didnt notice the technical section on the sundown forum but im still confused as to what terminals to run the positive and negative to or is that irrelevant. lets say these are teh terminals. - - ++ would i run teh wires to the the first negative and the first positive or middle negative and positive or outside negative and postive or as stated before is it irrelevent. Inkfx i kno what load i can get out of the d2 coils lol because ive used the 12volt.com since my very first walmart (sony explod) worthless setup. But its always been a two channel amplifier setup so im kinda new to the monoblock of this type with two sets of terminals.

    Two Questions one Sae-1200Dv2

Sorry i just thought about not giving enough info. Well as the title says it the amplifier is sundown audio SAE-1200Dv2. As for the bl it would be the D2 coils (which i forgot to mention srry) so it can be wired to one ohm. thx again.

    Two Questions one Sae-1200Dv2

So heres what is on my mind. First off i am wondering how to wire a subwoofer down to a one ohm load due to there being two sets of speaker terminals. Maybe a noob question but i cant figure it out. Second and this mite be harder to answer. Will this amplifier overpower a Fi BL15 with with the hyper pole upgrade or would it be able to take the juice without messing anything up? Any elightenment would be appreciated.
  8. does the sonata have a premium audio system from the factory?

    Q15

battery for my car i think is like 1200 amp. Wally world batt. Just bought like three mos. ago. idk if ill have a problem with voltage used to run with the kickers turned 3/4 up at night and didnt even begin to dim lights. Usually sat around 13.5 volts when beating hard. But that was with a power acoustik amp that more than likely put out half of what it was rated at. Id say ill probably throw a kinetic 1200 in the back.

sounds good. I just thought the bl was mostly for spl which logic tells me wouldnt sound the greatest. Guess ill have to order and see what happens. 135 amp alt and big 3 good enough for electrical or would recommend more?

    Q15

Can fit whatever. Gave amp more than likely run kicker zx1000. Goals? Ill explain. I was happy with the output of the two cvrs but the sq was horrible missing notes and such and plain sounded like buttttt which caused me to try to fry them on purpose but smoked my amp first lol ( yes i know exactly what i did to mess my amp up it was on purpose. Which brings me to the q which has awesome ratings on the sq side. Basically want same output which once again im sure the q would stomp the cvrs but mostly concerned about sq. Hope that makes a lil more sense. as for what i can fit, anything under fifteen cubic feet so im set on that end. Big 3 will be done at time of purchase. Budget isnt really an issue.

    Q15

Lookin into putting together another set up for the spring and summer. Last year two 12cvr on (dont laugh) power acoustik BAMF1800 bha. Question is how much would a 15 Q running off say..... hifonics BXI 1210 d embarrass the kickers? Oh port facing back in town car ( big @$$ clamshell trunk)
  14. So i have a Power Acoustik Bamf series amplifier that i bought two or so months ago. When i hooked it up for the first time in my first car it worked fine. I took it out about a month later and havent used it up until today. Now heres my problem. My remote wire will not turn on my amplifier. My power and my grounds are good. the power ground and remote wires all read out to around 13.5 with the car at idle and a little over 12 when in accessory. What i dont understand is why my amplifier will not turn on even though the remote connection is good. Oh yeah the fuses are not blown either. any help would be appreciated.

    1 or 2 ohm?

ok i see what your saying. the thing is idk where to find anyone in the St. Paul Area that can build a box that can house two of those beasts. as for the electrical. i think i could handle that cost. but if was to eventually run the two on 2k rms what would i need to do to my electrical besides the big 3? biggest issue is the box.
