    Replace 3-12q sealed with

currently i have three q12's sealed in a mazda 3 sedan firing through the rear seat opening i have a 1000 watt amp on each. some of the choices that i have are.... 1.) get 2 q15 and run them sealed firing into cab via rear seat opening 1000 on each (less weight than i have now and less current draw and should be louder) aprox 530.00 A. if i get these and i have an itch to eliminate trunk space i can go ported but i dont think i will have room for 2-15's ported due to lack of area in rear seat opening for 2 15's and a port so this not likely 2.) get 1 btl and ported obviously with 1000 on each coil. through the rear seat opening. A. how much does it weigh i dont know how much weight i could save. 3.) just keep my current set up 4.) would one q15 ported be louder than my current setup and hit harder in your chest..( would save the most weight ans current draw) the sound and bass that i have now is verry clean and deep. it still has the ability to impress me when the music hits hard and deep when i am not expecting it. i would like to have a little more output with less current draw and weight. and choice 1 or 2 would be it. unless choice 4 may work. thanks for the advice for all that help

    SQ help

for thoes who have compeated in iasca or usac sq the question i have is where should the center of the stage be in the car. my personal prefrence is center of the steering wheel. i want to know if it should be right in front of you in front of the steering wheel or the center of the dash as you would need to look at the middle of the dash to imagin thats where the voices are coming from. which is the correct answer for competition i am runing 3way active and have time alignment to play with

    3 sealed FiQ12's

we are all friends here but lets induldge in this a little basicly by a less is more theory= one full range speaker for sq is ideal = i dont belive this to be true but can sound nice in proper horn box for the home using a foxtex in a horn box for car audio (no) a 2 way mid and tweeter for sq better a 3 way tweeter mid and midbass/woofer = even better a 4 way tweeter mid and midbass/woofer and a sub woofer even way better see where i am going with this as it gets harder to reproduce the extreme low notes it would be ideal to use multiple low frequency drivers to help re-enforce the lows as you can always tune down the upper bass notes but can hurt a single speaker if you turned up the eq on the low notes and created a clipping problem which could damage the speaker. of course i may not reach the full output potential of 3 subs powered at maybe x-over at lets say 80hz but raw spl is not what i am after, more of a LOUD SOUND QUALITY is where i am headed as long as we are cool with each other posting our replies i am happy with this constructive debate and if it gets rude or offensive let me know and i will stop and appoligize

less is more i can respect that and say that my self. but i also have 6 years in car audio and have compeated once in my first year in a sq comp at sbn 03 and too 2nd lost by like 3 points or something like that didnt know i needed pics of install that was my dumass fault as they were left at home. Just striving for some thing different. as i know in my hear it can be done plus i have a friend that had 3 kicker 10s square for sq. so i know it can be done he is almost un beatable in his class. I will keep this post updated ad to pics and how it sounds.
