nah them are clazzio factory replacement covers actually. got a good deal on em at $400. the car has tien h-tech springs, rota p45f 18x8 bronze wheels, 5000k HID kit, VRD fogs w/ 3k halogens, HKS cold air intake, 15% tint all around, Figure LLC upper/lower grills, baked and painted headlights black, Viper remote start. i think thats it for the most part. other than lil BS stuff like guage LED color swap etc. thanks again. haha, its just a tC though

so got the enclosure done and a semi amp "rack"... its functional. not the prettiest thing in the world but hey. ended up getting a couple inches of snow today which is unheard of around here... so ended up spending hours cramped up in my hatch fiddling with stuff. tweets sound better aimed now, seemed it brought the stage up some, also seems much more centered without an t/a tweaking yet. impressions on the subs. well, i got the gains cut conservative. they sound good from what i can tell. I AM A give em a few days to break in (they are virgin tight at the moment) and crank up the gain a little bit. the lowend isnt as impressive as it was with the 2 daytons. ofcourse not, im running less than 1/2 the power, less cone area and sealed vs ported. ill give more impressions once i cut the gains up. so far im happy. not the best job in the world, but hey, it works. yanked it apart bc something popped when i first cranked it up. all looked fine... its working fine now... ???????????? took a break to pick my fiance up from school (i dropped her off so she wouldnt have to walk in the cold/snow) and stopped by chicfila for some lunch... happened to catch some canadian geese on the way... one of them was pretty friendly... (i bitch slapped a blackbird bc it swooped over my shoulder and damn near landed on me, scared the piss outta me bc i was trying to be calm and not freak the geese out) they can be mean

Sup folks? I took out the dayton ho 10s and cadence txa6004s to downsize some. Purchased a Kicker 06ZX700.5 for amp duty and (2) Sundown E8's for subs. decided to run them sealed since the objective was to save space. guess we will see if i can deal with it. lol. so equipment will be alpine 9887 (running active 2 way front stage) kicker zx700.5 mach 5 mli-65s in factory door location (well deadened) seas neo textiles in the kicks 2 sundown e8's Goals for this were to downsize and save some space and still get decent output, and clean up the wiring some. Will eventually pull the 0awg and go with some 4awg (for now itll just be the 0awg to a dist. block with 4 off of it) sorry for the first batch of pix crapp quality So far, I aimed the tweeters on axis (or close to it). My method wasn't perfect, obviously by the pix, but it's better than I could do just eyeballing it without the laser pointer. The result? VERY chitty, obviously, but I plan to use some filler and clean it up, no matter how much I filed, i just couldn't get the pvc to slide back far enough to close the gap without chopping off 1/2 of one of the mounting brackets due to the position of the holes previously since the tweeters werent deep and didnt need to slide back liek the pvc. Anyways, there are in there pretty solid for now. as said... ill fix the cosmetics in the following days. Also, pulled out the old RCA's i bought from monoprice, they look nice, but i wouldnt recommend them.. the ends are way to tight and require quite a bit of elbow grease to pull em on and off, and i broke 2 sets of them. So, went to a my local dealer and he hooked me up with a decent deal on some higher end Stinger 4 and 2 channel RCAs. Anyways, here a few pix of the little I got done, and an old pic of the culprit for those who havent seen. afaik it was pretty centered due to the drill bit in the middle of the circle saw i used, then just drilled it out to fit the laser pointer well looky there lol cute lil e8 against the dayton HO the equipment (working on some techflex) lettin the glue fully set 1/18/09: as luck would have it... it began raining steadily the moment i stepped out of my car as i arrived to my parents house. luckily, it wasnt near as cold today, so i made use of the overhang/car port area and began assemblying my enclosure. ended up coming out to be 25.25"w x 6.5"d x 11.5"h with a divder puts each chamber at .28 ft^3 net. as you can see, my free hand with a jigsaw sux! anyways, the subs fit nice with very very minimal wiggle room in the mounting holes. ive got one more piece of wood to cut to cover the rear of the enclosure. i plan to router the edges and run some wire through the box since im not using any terminals. hopefully tomorrow i can find some inexpensive carpet and wrap it. also start on an amp mounting idea and began finishing up the kick panels. ugly, but hey, its functional. my woodworking skills are FTL bundled the remote, power and ground to go to distribution blocks (which i hid, btw) waiting on the back piece

i have a feeling itll sound pretty good with em ported. might not get quite the output coming from 2 10s, but im willing to venture and say itll be close. we will see, regardless i except a loss of output stepping down to half the power and a bit less cone area. thanks all for the compliments/welcome

thanks fellas. also about to do a build in my fiances car likely implementing a DD1508, cadence txa6004 and components are TBD. probably grab up some PG RSDs for the time being to get her by then find something a little better to run active (got a 3-way electronic xover layin around), and premier 680mp (also laying around)

Sup fellas. Matt here from Wilmington, NC. 23 yrs of age attending college for electronics and electrical a.a.s. degrees, instrumentation certificates, etc then doing some distance learning through ECU or the like for my B.S., then who knows as far as a Masters is concerned. Just recently got engaged, planning on May 2010 for wedding. Anyways, drive a 07 scion tC with a little system, nothing special. Will get pix later. just pulled out 2 dayton ho 10s ported at 30 cycles and 2 cadence txa6004. took up way too much space in that lil ol hatch, so heres what im going with now (headunit and front stage has said the same). the doors, hatch area, inner fenders, under the rear seats etc are pretty well deadened. Headunit - Alpine 9887 (active) Amp- Kicker ZX700.5 Mids- Mach 5 MLI-65's (stock door location) Tweets- Seas Neo Textiles (in the kicks, about to aim em) Subs- 2 Sundown E8's Subs just got here today, beefy lookin lil SOBs, I'm stoked. Still debating whether to run em sealed or .6 net ea @ 30hz, dont know how much output would benefit since theres a decent amount of cabin gain, but it would yield a much lower F3. Whatcha think? Amp I just ordered today BNIB but its an 06 model, couldnt justify spending >$100 more for an 08 model which is functionally the same just cosmetically different. Anyways, Hope to hear everyones input.
