  1. I totally agree with the value aspect :+1: I think integrity, honesty, and service is disappearing at an alarming rate as well. That's why I went with Mike, thats why I had no qualms picking up a spool of cable from Ryan, I had Kent whip me up a box because, I frankly don't have the time. Personality, service with a smile, and a good product at an honest price, with great customer service to back it up and a reputation that proceeds them., the only people out under these standards are the little independants it seems. There are several people on this forum I would/will give my buisness to. I think bigger companies and corp's tend to forget we are people. We become numbers and products become more geared for the "mindless" masses. Well, I have a mind, dammit!!!! Now, I buy what suits my needs from someone who can offer personall service. I was all set to buy DD subs, but when I emailed them, it took them longer to respond than it took me to find SS :P I was all set to buy RE mids, emailed them two weeks ago and still no response, Seas is looking mighty tempting right now as well as adire. How friggin hard is it to have someone who responds to the emails?????? Theres my 2 cents.

  2. Yep forgot about the 2 ohm limit for the Rl-p's. Check around for Phoenix Gold Ti series. I have one sitting in my garage that the RL-p replaced. It sounded great, took the wattage you have to give, and got loud to boot. Another option is Boston Accoustics, great sounding subs (my brother has 2 10's in his truck) that get loud as well.

  3. If u can flex on the budget a little, go with the Rl-p. I got mine in 1.25 sealed and couldn't be happier. Won't be the loudest on the block (pretty close though), but will be one of the most musical subs you ever heard. next choice would be the DD 1000 or 2000 series, may have to go a little bigger on the box but will get loud :D .

  4. Ryan where would you suggest looking for the Lotus? I know Madisound has them, just want to comp their prices.

Dennisp, did you order you extremis straight from adire? Are they 8 ohmers or 4's. I have heard the 4" versions in a home setup running full range as the surrounds and they were quite impressive. Mad power isn't my priority, looking for straight SQ and something to provide foundation down to about 60Hz. Thanks for the other suggestions, will be checking into those today.

  5. I am sure it has been asked before, but I am looking for some real experiences with midbass drivers. I snagged a set of Rainbow Pro components (4" and tweet) cheap :gift: and am looking for something to give the midbass some foundation. I have used MB Quart exclusively for about 17 years and just switched to Focal about a year ago. i am interested in RE, DD, Seas Lotus, or anything in that range. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Oh yeah, they will be mounting in the doors of my truck (see sig) along with the 4's and the tweets in the pillars.

  7. I have mine in 1.25 sealed with a Orion 1200D running it at 1 ohm. At this size enclosure the sub is probably the most musical sub I have ever heard. Mine goes down real, real deep, get pretty loud, but .....has it power limitations. :+1: on reading the gain setting string in the amp section, setting yours accordingly, and enjoying your sub without breaking it. I have mine crossed at 65 HZ at 18db and it sounds :fing34:

  8. I am trying to decide on which I want.  The 200 or the 250.

I am going to be running 1500rms on occations and 900rms daily.  Currently the stock 105a doesnt like 900rms at any rpm

Just got a quote for our trucks thru the GB. A 250 will run $304 shipped with $17.00 more refunded back to you if more than 10 people buy (gm 5.3L). I am sending paypal tonight (am on unsecure hotel line right now) He said he has sold 6 already so getting more than 10 shouldn't be a prob. I am running about 1450 -1500 daily and my stock alt HATES me. Also got a good quote on the Kinetic battery deal at CA.com, picking that up next week.
