  1. We have three Rockford T2500bdCP's in our shop truck, all wired to a 1ohm load.

We are getting 2,964, 2973, and 2952 out of the three. Rising to alla bout 2.1-2.2 ohm dropping to 11.4 volts on full burp.

The "CP" technology is some amazing stuff man. When we first installed it on drained batts, we clamped one amp and it did 2,1292 Droping to 9.7v rising to the same.

Whats your electrical looking like. ie Batteries and alternator(s)

    Honestly it's weak right now.

4 Deka G31's, 2 320amp alts. With only one hooked up right now. lol

  2. The issue comes in that an alternator cannot react as fast as your bass can hit, so the bass will start and .25-.50 second later the alternator starts really making power.

That small time gap is enough to cause dimming. That is the reason batteries are so important to help with that buffer and offer a reserve.

And only with that, say your car need 100 amps to run, that means you only have 140amp allocated to the system. You can kill that with the sub amp alone. Your after market radio pulls more power. Any lighting. Highs amp. All that add more pull. So you end up pulling more then your alternator can put back.

  3. Holy shit this is a BS over what is obviously a manufacture issue.

The subs caught FIRE in a part of the sub where the no bottle neck and should be no resistance. Something wasn't right.

And, I don't think this is the first SP4 to do this so...............

  4. It's cute to you because you guys are pros. I'm still trying to learn this and it seems there is no one source with all the answers. Almost to the point of throwing in the towel and saying f it and just save it.

I sure wouldn't call everyone here pros by any means bro.

If stereo is your hobby, enjoy it.

  5. I'm not an SPL guy, however, I do appreciate what you guys do.  Looks like a solid enclosure build.  I have to ask though, even though you say the BL was flowing, what in the heck happened to that speaker?  smile.png

Each column of two subs was on their own amp, the phase of the middle amp goes switched to 180* instead of 0*. We turned it up a little and heard a "pop", turned it down. But damage was done, so we fixed the switch and played them till it tore itself up.

  6. No there is nothing I like here, this site is filled with lots of vendors and product promoters who are trying to sell their products and make them sound better then they are.

armykyle1 is the only member who Imhave met so far on here who knows what he is talking about...

    Really?

none of the venders or deals have responded to your topics... and no one has tried to sell you anything....

thats the same link i sent you .

Almost everyone who posted on my BTL VS ZCON VS MAYHEM topic were vendors and people who work for SSA... All you need to do is read their profiles to see that... They are trying spread misinformation to protect their product and make it sound better then it is. I would post pictures of all profiles but that would take a while... Here are a few examples...

There are only TWO SSA employees, Mark LaFountain and Aaron Clinton.

Just because a lot of people have SSA subs as their pictures doesn't mean anything,

You may be the most retarded person on this forum right now, congratulations on village idiot title.

  7. Absolutely positively badass man. That system looks violent as &$^%! But yeah man you're welcome I've showed all my friends who are doubtful of pt's getting loud your build and the videos of your ride plus twisted's vids and they all changed their minds in a hurry, lol.

I remember on another forum I was told I should just give up because it's impossible to get them loud, but I knew if theres a will theres a way. a pt doing damn near 160 on a burp? and over 157's on music?? You can't beat that, lol. Hopefully when I get my build done I'll be slightly as loud as you haha.

    Well good luck man!

  8. Thanks for the input every little bit helps, I love this build because you're one of the pioneers with this car and upgrading stuff and just makes it easier because the rest of us pt owners have something to fall back on as a reference for the way to go when upgrading electrical. Thanks for the help man.

Thanks man, that means a lot to me. I never really noticed it but yea, I am one of the first to go this big with it and show how it all happens. lol

Here is a video of the new subs playing some music. :D

  9. I'm not going to be near as nice as these fine fold above me, your 20 years of experiance is about ths worst I've ever seen. Instantly blaming the company for what YOUR DUMBASS did.

Sponsored by MTX and Soundstream huh? Yea more like a shop probably just charged you 50% over cost rather then 75%.

    GTFO

  10. Where did you buy your external voltage regulator and was it hard to wire up? Do you have to buy the alternator set up to be externally regulated or does it matter? and do you have any dash lights that come on? Thanks!

All it is is a Transpo 911-02r. The factory setup is for the computer to control the voltage, so your alternator is already set up for external regulation.

And yes, I have a battery light on on the dash.
