  1. I recently purchased a 21" Warden and a Saz 3500. The vehicle it will be going in is a 97 Blazer. The box my dad drew up last night was 8.5 cubes after port displacement. With 120 sqaure inches of port. It will be ran at two ohms for daily and .5 for when I am at a show. I compete in meca. My dad is going to build my box. I am posting this here because I would like your honest opinions good or bad criticism and if you would like to help that's great we will try anything. I currently have the amp and I will be picking the sub up saturday.

    New Numbers

Well I went to my teams shop last weekend and decided I would do a little testing with my new setup. The equipment used is a 21in warden and SAZ 3500. The vehicle is a 97 blazer. Electrical is one yellow top under the hood one extra battery in the back and 2/0 welding cable. Box is a little over 9 cubes and tuned at 40 htz. If any one would like to give feedback on how to get it louder or just comments in general everything helps. Resized to 61% (was 1024 x 768) - Click image to enlarge Also that score is at the headrest because I am in Meca and the day after that score was done i hit a 149.6 I just didn't get a picture of that one but it can be proven if need be. Like I said anything helps and Thanks in advance.
  6. Guys I've got a problem here with a 21 inch Warden and a SAZ 3500 . No matter how we wire it , we keep getting a .7 ohm reading . Series or Parallel seems to make no difference . A lso my elephant sized son stripped one of the negative connections on the amp .... any body got fixes for this ? Any help is appreciated with either problem .

    First Ever

Hey guys today at the show in Murfreesboro Tn. I was given the first phat 21 in Meca history. I hit a 147 flat at 46 htz and a 143.7 at 36 htz. We downsized the box and tuned it lower for more of a daily use. My dad is going to build a new box this week and its going to be bigger and tuned higher. Its going to be geared more towards burps. The score has gone done from the original 149.6 we were hitting at the start of our adventure with this massive sub. We should get hopefully get the magical 150 mark with this new box and some testing. Equipment wise I am running a 21 inch warden in 7.5 cubes tuned at 36 htz and a Sundown Audio saz 3500. I just wanted to thank Nick and the guys at IA for making such great products and having amazing support. I know I have personally talked to Nick on the phone and he has done nothing but try and help us with every aspect of the boxes we have been building . Also big thanks to Jacob , Sundown amps are beastly.

Thanks guys. My goal for this yr is a 51 so not much further to go my dad is going to rebuild my box and see if that helps any
  16. good idea! Still worried about anything starting as liquid then solidifying as it could drip or seep too far in before hardening, even fiberglass resin as it would chip back off fairly easy and leave no residu. Maybe try a wire tie . Trim it with a razor blade to give it a long bevel , then hold your gain still and try to wedge it in beside it . The plastic is really strong and even if you don't get it super tight , friction should keep it from backing down . At least there is no liquid involved , or heat either . Just a thought , sorry if its out of line .

I cant believe I left that out I also have a Powermaster 200amp H/O alternator. Sorry about that guys. We are having a problem with the sub geting hot from magnets on up to the dustcap. I was doing a demo about an hour or so after I did my run and thats when we started to notice the sub getting warm. My amp has been set with an oscope so I really dont think its a clipping issue. And I have everything well grounded to the frame of the vehicle. Any input on this would be great. I was told at the show by someone that they think the box its in is too big. The box is built to IAs specs. The box is 36.5 wide X 30 deep X 20.5 tall. Thats the outside measurements of the box and its built out of 1.125 plywood. Port measurements are 6.75 wide X 10 deep X 18.25 tall. There is 1 45 in the box infront of the port its about 5 inches wide. So with the port and sub displacement the box should be around 9.1 cubes tuned at 40 htz. I will get pictures of the enclosure in the morning if you guys want to see how its designed if that will help with any questions. Any help would be great my Dad and I have been racking our brains trying to figure out whats going on. Sorry for the letter guys I just wanted to make sure I included all the information that I could.
