im not sure how much better the mb QUART RCE-269 are over POLK AUDIO MOMO MMC690. i do like my momo 5 1/4 front speakers. maybe ill just keep the 5 ch and buy the momos online for 100 then upgrade the sub to a dual voice coil and add my old mrv-100..till i buy a stronger amp. i could get the POLK AUDIO MOMO MM2124DVC for $100 if i gave it 250-300 watts that should be an upgrade over my db getting 150? that might be rushing into things and i could wait after getting the 6x9s and go with a better dvc sub.

well it seems like a good trade for the 6x9's and i could pick up a better 4 channel cheaper then the mb quarts. i could use my old apline mrv 100 till i get the money to add a sub amp.. that would perform twice as nice as my small box db

yeah cause when he mentioned that he would trade for the amp i almost felt bad doing that to him.

sorry for the speach. what im also asking.. is do you think i have a better option if i get rid of the 5 channel and pick up his speakers. i would love to have the option down the road to change up the sub and 150.. really isn't too great.. though i don't think i could run those speakers off the head unit and just buy an amp for the sub. thanks

im looking to spend another 250. the 5 channel amp has been a small upgrade. i rushed into buying it cause i saw the $100 price tag and never really thought it through. it sounds clean and provides a nice upgrade for my regular speakers. i have a small inclosure for the sub. .88. it gives my mirror a great shake and can be considered ok. as far as bass levels. yeah i understand what your saying about the 35 hz's . i guess im just intrested in a speaker that i can bi amp and throw a nice midrange at. i own a pair of boston acoustic bookself speakers cr-7s and they sound nice. besides the pro series what is the better boston 6x9? well i guess im just looking to add another element and im not sure which one would give me the most satifaction. tint.. line my trunk.. or new 6x9s. since i only have 1 12 im not sure how much of an improvement some dynamat would be and the tint would be nice. and if i could bi amp my 6x9's and get a richer sounds then the ininitys. i was just wondering which way you would go with 250 should i just hold off till i have more cash and do something with the amp.. and sub as well. she gives me an honest effort. oh wait i have a friend who has a pair of new MB QUART RCE-269(they did not fit). He wants a 4 channel amp and said he would trade them for my alpine 5 channel amp. thats my other option. any idea what you would do here. i still have my mrv-100 for the sub. but oviously ..i would need an amp. or i could just get the momo's on ebay for $130 ii was just looking to clean up my system alittle.

hey nice place! i have slowly been putting money back into my car with pretty solid results. i was wondering what advice or comments you have for the next step. i took some time away from car audio and got the home system going. My home system took the cake and i just had to upgrade the car. i drive a 97 4 door grand am with no tint. alpine 9827 - upgraded the 4x6 in the front doors with polk momo 5 1/4. i upgraded my mono -mrv100 alpine amp with a 5 channel alpine-353. for $115 new. i have a pair of infinity refrence 6x9's in the back that have been used for 6 years. they need to go and i was looking at ebay for some momo's. and my sub is one of the older polk db 12's svc. not the one they just came out with.the one right before. it provides enough bass however im still unsure which way to tune my amp with the crossover. i have 40 watts running to the front speaker and 40 to the back and 150 to the sub. i disconected the amp from the head unit and noticed a diffrence in sound quality. though if i got the new 6x9s i would use the headunit to power the highs and the amp for the lows. so my question is. if you had to make one.. or maybe two moves with this system which way would you go. i don't really get good bass sound from my 6x9s the new 5 1/4 speakers sound better. my trunk makes some 12 inch noise... i need tint .. what 6x9s should i be looking at for that 35 hz and lower range. ? thanks for reading this hopefully someone has been in this position. i still don't come close to the range of my home stereo. but its still a fun ride when its nice out see ya jon
