  1. Awesome. Good to hear. Started a GVT routine yesterday, so barbell bench and pull ups were the 2 exercises, then did some band work, Pilates ball ab work and skipping to round out my morning fitness routine.

Today's sole GVT exercise was barbell overhead press, then did some Yates row, cable work, incline db press, lat raises and bi/tri work.

Tomorrow will be legs (squats and RDL's)

Then Thursday start repeat of above.  OHP day is being used for accessory work not present in the big lifts.

  2. The thing with table saws, unless you get on with a big table or build a big table, it is quite unwieldy to get a sheet of wood onto one to cut.  I find having a flat surface (ie garage floor) to place some 2x4's on then placing the sheet of wood on those and using a circular saw with a fence guide much easier than lifting huge sheets onto a table saw.

With routers, any quality reputable brand will do really.  And get a circle jig to attach it to for making perfect circles.

Remember it's the glue that holds the box together. Use of good wood glue is key, and having proper coverage.  I just use an 18 gauge Brad nailer to quickly tag the sides in place along with using clamps until the glue has dried.

Little fucker tried to throw drugs and cellphones over our wall to his brother 2 nights in a row.  Damn could he run.

I had him eating the fucking pavement from the tower, but with no visible weapons on him I wasn't justified to shoot.  Could only watch our mobile patrols give chase and contact local police for an assist.  Whatever he had on him he buried in the swamp before he got caught.

  4. funky pups for the win!

Seriously though, can't go wrong with the pair of SSA Gcon 10's that you listed.  In a small(er) sealed set up, going with the two 10's will give you more cone area than a single 12,  and allow you to better use the power available from that amp.  And just from a look at them spec wise, they should excel in sealed enclosures.

    Welcome to SSA.

    Trying to not drink everyday.

Generally, I don't stock alcohol at the house.  Only really have a couple drinks here and there, and normally it's while camping in the summer; The odd drink out with some close friends through the winter.

Lately, I've found an acquired taste for red wine, which I have been keeping a bottle on hand and having a glass after supper.  Now, with the distancing thing, and staying home, I've actually found it easiest to just not drink at all.  But I realize, that is not an option for many.

  6. Well done.  I generally stick to a Monday to Saturday routine now.  Unless something comes up that I have to miss a day.

Doing a simple PPL split twice weekly, so even if I miss a day, I'll still have done that working group once for the week.

Generally just switch the main focus from first to second workout for the week (ie. Mon chest focus push, Thu shoulder/overhead focus push). So that no single muscle is too fatigued and to prevent overuse injury.  Still hit all muscles in that days group.

  7. Starting week 2 of all three kiddos at home.  So far, spirits are good.  Trying to figure out the whole work situation.  Being a correctional officer I still need to go to work, and my wife works rehab at the hospital, so she still needs to work.  Going to get tougher to figure out the longer this goes.

    Bandwidth and wind.
mainly the wind but the plan is to flat wall it in a year or 2

I just wanna do a 4th or 6th to say I did it really

get windy and low for a bit then chase numbers on the meter once I’m ready to flat wall it

Flat wall it now, tune low, big port, will get tons windy.  Save the headache of doing multiple setups for no reason.

As said above use a low pass crossover to set your upper limit on the bandpass you're using them for.  And there are tons of methods of setting it up so that you can switch the port up later.

OZ Audio - love my matrix elite 12.  Still have it, but am trying new stuff again just for fun...

Alpine - still have my CDA-7998, probably my favorite deck that I've run (run different alpines, Pioneer, Sony, JVC...)

JBL for amps - ran a pair of their amps for 7 years with no hiccups, and I wasn't nice to them either.

Find it amazing, I made this post 7 years ago, I am still running this oz me 12 just using it in my garage in a sealed enclosure off of low power (old computer speaker amp).  Gets used pretty much on the daily.  Still awesome, still love it.  Still my favorite sub I've ever owned.

Still have the old alpine cda-7998 sitting on the top shelf above my work bench.  Hasn't been hooked up in years. Was never able to part with it when it was still relevant.  Now, with all the Bluetooth, factory integration, NAV etc it's just a relic of a past era.

  10. just because it can handle that much power doesn't mean you need to feed it that much...

that being said, shake the buildings foundations...  hahaha

if you have the ability to build an enclosure, doing a large low tuned 4th order vented would be awesome for home theater duty.  something to really feel the low lows.  Don't know anyone in the bay area, so can't help there.

  11. It's definitely got to be getting more difficult to be an internet brand...  Social media presence is everything in today's world.  No longer is it word of mouth so to speak with the forums.  And with there being fewer and fewer shops it's hard.  At one point the city I live in had 5 local shops doing car audio plus 3 big box corporate stores as well.  Now we have 1 corporate store with a little bit in it that it doesn't really advertise and one local shop that will order stuff in when asked.
