  1. Yes social media platforms have been much more popular with the younger generations than old school forums.

Which is unfortunate IMO.  In comparison a forum managed such as this one, all of the content is nicely sorted and organized.  Everything can be found. With social media platforms such as FB it sorts what it wants to to show, doesn't show things it chooses not too, moves things around etc... Finding specific posts and information can be difficult and frustrating.  But, opening your FB app, and having the most popular posts show up in your feed, feeds the immediate gratification that people are so addicted to. As opposed to navigating to different sites, and scrolling through forums/topics/threads/posts to find specific content.

    Nice work!

Thanks Aaron, been trying to get stronger.  Consistency is key.  Had some crappy sleeps last couple nights, and it's shown in the workouts.

Was struggling to make it past 4 reps at 325 on squats this morning.  Had to scale it back a touch.  Which is not what I wanted, but, was necessary.

Yesterday's pull routine was absolutely taxing on the body. And left me so drained. It felt amazing.

I've started skipping again too.  Downloaded a simple interval timer on my phone to use to set up work and rest intervals.  So now I alternate between that and using the elliptical.  Hoping I can get the discipline to start jogging in the spring again.

  3. Depends on what voice coils configuration the sub is.  If it's dual 1 ohm then wiring in parallel definitely can.

Again, we need to know which voice coils the sub has before giving any specific recommendations.

  4. Wow, well, it's hard to help without knowing for sure the voice coil configuration on the sub.  Guessing if he was saying half ohm, it's likely a dual 1 ohm configuration, which hooked up in parallel would be a nominal half ohm load.

The hifonics amps work, they're not the best, but will do the job.

If the sub is dual 1 ohm you could always wire the voice coils in series for a 2 ohm nominal load. Which, according to hifonics will yield 2000 watts from that amp.

If you need wiring diagrams on the different wiring configurations etc let us know.

Also, do you have an enclosure for the sub, or need to get one? What are you putting this in?  The more info you give us, the more help we can offer.  Pics can help too.

Best of luck, and hope we can get you to where you need to be.

That's the thing man; it's not a separation. She lives in NY and has all her life. Same with our daughter. I was in the Middle East when she was born, and was stationed in AZ after that. I moved to FL after leaving the service, as the writing on the wall for NY as a whole, and especially there made it crystal clear that there was no hope for a good future for either of us. I'm fighting to get her more than just the bare basics and being down here would provide that.

ah, hope things can turn around.  IT's hard, but stay the course, be the positive role model and influence she needs.  It'll pay off in the long run.

  6. This morning's leg press session:

    305x15, 485x15, 575x15, 665x15, 735x12, 805x10

Felt really good.  Hitting that last set of 10 left me feeling completely exhausted, and wobbly for sure.

Had to take a full 5 minute rest before moving on to the rest of the workout.

    Absolutely love leg press days.

Also, lawyers are fucking pricey as hell for custody. Especially out of state move.

    J

Yes they are. And the longer they can drag out the battle, the more they get to charge.  Remember, the first thing any lawyer looks after is their own pocket book...

  8. Picked up my Christmas present today.  Or most of it rather.

Grabbed a power rack/cage.  Has a multi grip pull/chin up bar, 4 j hooks (1000 lb rated hooks) and box safeties (1500 lb rated)

As well a 700 lb rated Olympic bar with some rubber coated plates.

Have on order to come later this week or next week is more rubber coated weight plates (guys stock was very depleted), and a high/low pulley attachment to install onto the back of the cage.

Finally getting the garage gym where I want it to be.

    ;-*

    Bummer.  That's a shitty deal.

    Hope it goes smooth.

  10. Social media is full of morons.  Best knowledge base is here.

We can't tell you what driver to get, that's a choice you'll have to make.  We can help with what brands to stay away from, and keeping you realistic in your goals.

Wanting a huge mega power beast knocking the block down with only 2 cubes doesn't add up.  But, using a good quality driver that is optimized for that amount of space can give great results.

There are many 12 inch drivers on the market that would work quite well with 2 cubes, but that's net after displacements, not gross.  You may need to go taller on the enclosure, as well why I asked about the external aero port idea.

The DC audio lvl 5 12 for example, available through the SSA store is rated for 3000 watts and suggests a minimum 1.5 cubic feet enclosure for example.

    https://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/dc-audio-level-5-12-3-5-m5-3000w-subwoofer/

I have no experience with this specific driver though, so can't comment on it specifically, but 90% is install, so enclosure design is going to be a huge factor.
