  1. it took some years but pro audio in cars is spreading out everywhere. you really caint beat it when you got it set up right. cresendo is gonna have some nasty pro audio stuff for the low too

yeah i would have bought my speakers from crescendo but they were taking too long. In May Navid said they would be there in 30 days. Its the middle of july now.

  2. I just purchased some Crescendo Audio CCX65 mids to test out against some Seleniums 6W4P to see what I like more, doing a alot of testing and product reviews before I buy some speakers for my front stage.

let us know what you think about them. The most ive heard as far as reviews is there good for $100 but dont expect any type of SQ monsters of some sort. I wanted to know how they compare to alpine type R's or X's

  3. I learned a long time ago to not listen to what other people tell me about car audio in my town. Cause they all ride around with either kicker or Sony Xplod subs and think sony decks are amazing. I had a installer tell me even if i did the Big 3 on my car I'd still have electrical issues with only 1k watts in my rsx.

I did some research online to find out that little to nobody is using caps in my car and another guy was using 2k watts with with just his grounds 0 gauge.

  4. Because FatMat is asphalt based, where quality products like SecondSkin and SDS are butyl based :)

well thats what happens when you dont do enough research or background checks on companies.

You know its a bad company when you call their number and they only take sells transactions and if you wanna talk to someone you gotta leave a message.

I gave up trying to get some type of compensation from them. They asked for pictures of the melting and I sent them and they responded back with they couldnt see the pictures. I sent them another batch of pictures in another format and they never answered back.

  5. So yeah basically about 2 yrs I installed Rattle Trap extreme in my car. Over the past few weeks its been extremely hot in san antonio and I noticed that there was something leaking out the side of my door. Doing further investigation i discovered it was the rattle trap extreme melting from the inside of the door through the drain holes in my door. So i decided i might as well remove this crap and then i noticed quickly it was too easy to remove it off the outside of my door panel. But as I was about to begin removing it on the inside of the door i realized it was way too hard using physical strength.

Anybody know the best way to remove the rattle trap extreme and clean off all the melted asphalt stains off the door?

  6. Never knew they made comp sets. Just the carbon fiber 7" is all I am familiar with.

same here... still waiting to hear from someone

yeah i sent them a email about 4 days ago and have yet to get a response on prices or sizes

  7. I have an alpine CDA-9853. I'm not sure what would be the best way to set it up. The crossover has front/rear/sub, I'm not sure about the slope and what Hz to tune them to for best sound. I have the front / rear set to 100hz and the slope to 24. It goes flat/6/12/18/24. I would like some advice on how to tune these. The subwoofer setting is what I'm most concerned about. I have a FI BL 12 and blew it. Now in the process of re coning it =( I'm also not sure what to set my amps LPF to.... I was told 80hz but I want to be sure. Many people also mentioned bass boost being bad, is this true? And one more question, should I keep my subwoofer level on 0 at all times. Is it safe to set it around 8-12 before setting my gain? Clipping caused my sub to kick the bucket..... And I don't want that to happen again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I also need a skilled woodworker to create me a optimal box for this BL sub. =D

Well as far as front component tuning Im still learning about that.

But subs you should have never went over 50hz for your subwoofer. I dont know anybody that plays their subwoofer at 80hz thats for midbass man. And you never ever set bass boost on your amp or deck on a subwoofer. When setting the gains for the sub you turn the subwoofer level on your deck all the way up then set the gains. that way if its too loud you can just turn it down. But remember no bass boost, no loudness on, and all Eq on flat or zeroed out.
