  1. getting the sae-1000D from Db-r? :)

you have the wiring correct, dual 2 in parallel to 1.

the 12" will more more air==> louder (correct me if im wrong)

there are three supurb box builders on this site. Quentin at Audible Customs is having a sale right now 1/2 off a custom box, that is a killer deal to jump on. its ending the 22nd i believe though.

i use crutchfield for a lot of stuff, that is where i bought my deck. i like it because of their "outfit my car" option. this will let you know for sure what fits your car, and they give you free install gear and instructions that are very easy to follow. another big store is sonicelectronics, a lot of people use them, so either or you can find what you like ;)

as for a shop doing the work... why let some stranger do work when you can easily do it yourself and know exactly what has been done to your car? even if you're new it doesnt take much to learn how to do this all. just ask around if you have any more questions, they will get answered. with the right tools and knowledge you can easily do all this yourself, no worries. just trying to save you a buck from installer fees.

    hope that helps somewhat!

  2. been here for a little bit, but just found this topic, so here is my unofficial "first" post!

im driving a 2005 suzuki forenza, with stock battery, alt and ground wires (for now) running two rockford fosgate P3s in a ported box. a hifonics 1208D mono amp, with 4 awg wire.

i just ordered a refurbished saz1500D from Db-r.com to start my new build. I'm working with Quentin at audible customs to build my box for the fully loaded Fi Bl 15" that will soon be ordered. along with that a Kicker 1/0awg wire kit. hope to get somewhere close to the numbers i have seen this sub push, if i can ever find a meter or a comp. way up here in nowhereville to actually test this stuff :ehh:

  3. trying to decide which amp to get to power a fully loaded 15" fi bl in a 3.5ft^3 box tuned to 33 hertz. deciding between the saz 1200, saz 1500 or if i should pre-order a new saz 2000. money isnt really a problem so its just about the perfect pair, any input?

  4. what are the negative effects of too big of a fuse? the wire has a chance to get "burnt" through or whatnot? i can always upgrade with the new system. what should i get for right now? 150 or 200?

another question. will this this D-block work for running ground and power?

ill send power from battery to an *imput*, then through one of the three *outputs* to the amp. and then the ground from amp to one of the side with three *outputs* through to the other *input* to bigger ground wire and then ground source? was any of that confusing?

i *ed the input and output because they say in the description it doesnt matter which way the flow goes. so this setup should work?

  5. "Knukonceptz is fine. Or you could go cheaper and get welding wire." thats not very reassuring haha i dont want bad stuff, do you recomend something else? im not set on anything yet :fing34:

  6. alrighty, seems like i have a lot of testing to do! thanks for all the quick imput, i never expected such a reply! you guys rock! :D

    couple questions..

"also if u have a dmm u can check what the voltage that is going to the amps to see if there is need for a new battery" dont know what a DMM is. is that the same as checking the voltage of the battery while it is off, as posted in a later reply?

where is a good description/walk through for the big three?

when i upgrade to 1/0 awg i have heard good reviews from Knukonceptz.com are they any good?

  7. I currently have two RF P3 12s, a Hifonics 1208D amp, a 1 farad stinger cap. and 4awg wire all around. yet my electrical is VERY noticably weak, headlights dimming a TON and just overall weak flow rate.

im looking at a new battery, like the http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/zencart...products_id=101

should i replace my factory battery, put it in line with what i have now, or replace it with where my cap. is? i plan on getting a new, more powerful setup this summer, so there will be even more power needed. any suggestions?

if you need any more information, just ask. i konw i missed something :)

    thanks a ton!
