    aa 8" assassin questions

ive never heard of aa subs before till i heard the 8" assassins on youtube. i was impressed. i was wondering wat the 8's run for. and how good do they hold up? and where can i get sum if i decide that these r the ones. if i get 3 of them will a 1500.1 crunch amp power them pretty good. i looked em up and there rated at 250rms so i figured they can candle it. the one thing i like bout em is how low the sealed enclosure requirements r. thanks

    aa 8" assassin questions

cool. will they do good in sealed encloisures? there coming out with new 8's? damn. i was suprised when i heard these subs. they sounded aswome for 8's. i was impressed. so how do i go about on ordering them? im not gonna get em probally for another week or so, until i get the enclosures built and amps hooked up. and i just figured id ask but do they have warrantys?
  5. k, well i went and got a dual 30amp fuse power dist. block. i got questions that need sum answers. 1.) how do u wire up a capaciator with the dist. block? 2) and i was wondering if i need a fuse block as well? since the power dist. block has dual fuses then i thought that i wouldn't need that. 3.)how do u wire up 2 rcas from the deck to 2 amps? the deck only has one set of rcs. but i have 2 y spliters layin around. how would i hook them up? thanks.

    amp wiring

the 1/2" mdf works good. the 2 enclosures behind the seats r the same size and the one up front is probally the same. but i rewired my system 2day. jay-c76 helped me. used 4 gauge then used 8 gauge after the dist. block. took me a while to do it, but it works great. im gonna finishing installing my 2 5x7" alpine type r's 2morrow.

    amp wiring

well currently this is wat i have -3 12" cali profiles -koiiler 1000 watt 2 ch.. bridged amp for the subs -insignia 500 watt 2 ch. bridgeable amp for the speakers -all 8 gauge lightning audio power wire( just got 4 gauge tsunami power wire with a dist block and 2 8 gauge wires to the amps) -1 farad rockford fosgate capacitor -16 gauge stinger speaker wire -stinger rca's -jvc kd-s24 deck -3 custom built 1/2" mdf boxes 2 r .45cu. ft and 1 is .55cu. ft thats pretty much it. i dont think i forgot anything.
  8. aight. i have 3 12" california profiles. i have 3 custom 1/2 mdf wood boxes. there in a ranger single cab. i have 2 behind the seats and one where the center floor console/ cup holders were. i dont have the exact specs but there .40-.50 cu. ft. of airspace for each. the subs need 1.25 cu. ft. of airspace, but there just temporary till i get sum new ones. well my question is..they really dont have any excursion at all. they really bump but dont really move. i figured its cuz of the super small boxes. and probally cuz i didn't put any poly fill in em.or maybe cuz there low rated subs, they have like 50 rms and 350 watts peak but if i get sum 12" kicker cvr's or even some shallow mount 12" kicker cvts or sumthing like that, will they have the same issue with excursion? it sucks having a single cab truck, cuz u cant do a big system.

    questions bout the sundown e8

aight i was on youtube and saw 2 sundown e8's in a ranger and was very impressed. they would be goin in my single cab ranger. i want 3. i read that they require 0.280 cu. ft of air which will be awsome cuz my boxes are .45cu. ft. there sealed enclosures. but id like to kno wats the max power these things can handle? How mcuh do they go for? they seam really bad ass. im trying to compare these to the 8" kicker l7's. thanks.

small enclosures for 12's, but have no excursion

juice0723 wats the mounting depth on the 10" phoenix golds? the 8" kicker l7 requires .33 cu.ft of air and the 10" l7 requires .66 in a sealed box. just to let u kno. its not like they need a full 1. cu. ft.

small enclosures for 12's, but have no excursion

wat kind of 10's were they. and wat kind of box were they in. its alot different in a single cab ranger. my old 10's really hit. i loved em. but after awhile i get bored with em and do sumthing else. it sounds stupid but thats just how i am.

small enclosures for 12's, but have no excursion

ya i actually did. im considering it. but before i put 3 12's in i was gonna do 2 8" kicker l7's/ and when i heard that the super 8" dcon was comin out id get those if they were priced pretty good. the l7's are crazy. but id get 3 8's. i got sealed boxes not ported.

small enclosures for 12's, but have no excursion

this is like my 3rd system. ive had 10's for a couple of years. i liked em alot but wasn't enough.lol. 1.) 2 10" rockford p1's 2.)2 10" kicker comps 3.) and now 3 12" california profiles the 3 12's sounded really good, but one went out right away cuz of a bad voice coil wire. i just blew it off cuz i didn't want to pull it out and fix it. so i bumped to 2 12's for bout a week then just the other day young jeezy finished the second one behind the seat. so all i got now is a single 12 up front. im lookin for sum 12's that have more power and that dont require alot of airspace. so kicker cvr's or cvts r wat id like next.

    amp wiring

oh ok. i was always told that capacitors were good. keeps ur battery from dying. im currently running all 8 gauge power wire. but im upgrading this weekend to 4 gauge. well i didn't relize that i had a dist. block layinaround. this is a smaller one 4in and 8 out. no fuses tho. so i might need a fuse block.
  15. k. im pretty sure i didn't set it up 100% right but thats why i wanna check before i get my new subs. i got 2 amps. i got a 500 watt insignia 2 ch. bridgeable amp and a 1000 watt 2 ch. bridgeable koiiler amp. i think its a 4 gauge wire with fuse wired from my battery to my 1 farad cap. then grounded the cap and attached another power wire from the cap to the 500. then i added another power wire from the cap over to the 1000. i split the blue wire from the 500 from the deck to the 1000. then got sum rca's from the output on the 500 over to the input on the 1000. i kno its confusing but im trying to list it as best as possible. its hard to explain. but its alot cleaner set up then u think. but im pretty sure i need sum power dist. blocks and sum 0 gaugue wire. i got sum wire tho. so please help me out if u can under stand this. thanks.
